This is the Prologue to a story/book I'm working on about Irish mythology. This opening 'chapter' is about a young Druid who must pass some initiation trials before becoming a fully-fledged druid. As such he meets Cernunnos and The Dagda. And yes, while Cernunnos isn't mentioned all too often in the Irish myths, only once as far as I can deduce, a nature god who was a figure of devotion among European continential Celts is worthy of a mention.
