I want to carve out a space for women, girls, and people who can relate to my story. To be able to breathe, experience peace, and talk about the pain, hurt, the lack of knowing self, and the healing needed to get there.
This week we are talking about the benefits of healing and going into your healing journey and finding the true value and the love and respect that you would have for the person you'd find on the other end of your healing journey. One thing that I've learned on my healing journey that requires a lot of work dedication, and one of the things that you encounter often is frustration, but never let the frustration keep you from going forward and finding the person that you were always going to be always meant to be and fall in love with him or her and giving yourself grace and every situation and circumstance. always getting up after the battle Dusting yourself off and going forward and making sure that you find your love, your peace, your balance And being happy with who you are looking at when you look in the mirror thank you for joining me again on the Black Girl Healing podcast. I hope this helps in anyway shape or form. Remember, I am not a licensed anything. I'm just a Black Girl Healing. Love ya, peace.
Having goals for the year can be awesome, but things change and that's okay. We learn and we adapt. Give yourself pros for how far you've come and a pat on the back for the things you have achieved.

Hey all and welcome back to the Black Girl Healing Podcast. I really appreciate those of you who keep coming back and keep supporting the podcast. I love y'all for real. I know we did have an episode that week and technically this episode is late. Foremost, I want to apologize because I know how it is when your waiting for an episode from your favorite podcast, and i hope you all can forgive me. Lastly, going forward new episodes will be uploaded once a week on Saturdays. This episode explains where I was and whats been going on with your favorite host. Advocating for yourself in general is a form of healing. Understand that if you've faced trauma present or past, speaking up for yourself can be really hard. You don't want to cause waves or hurt others feelings and in lieu you end up hurting yourself. Especially in the medical field I feel like black women get less than the standard of care that others receive. So, this was very hard for me to go through and see how much my dr did not care what I was going through, nor did she care to figure it out. I could go on and on and make episode after episode about the subject. Let me know if yall want me too. Again, thank you all so much for supporting the pod and subscribing to the Youtube channel. Don't forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe to the podcast and channel. thank you so much and see yo on the next one. Welcome back everyone to the Black Girl Healing Podcast. This week I'm chatting about self-compassion. Give yourself the positive, kind, loving energy you give to others to yourself. Focusing on giving you the best part of you. Having a laundry list of things to do can weigh you down and when you're unable to get it done, omg what is life. But try to look at the situation with self compassion. What would you say to your best friend that you know has been giving so much to others but not herself? Now, apply that same advice to yourself. I love you guys so much. Have a dope week. Remember to like, share and subscribe to the podcast and YouTube. Hello and welcome back to the Black Girl healing Podcast. This episode I decided to do a short story time on when my Primary Care Physician tried to put me on Antidepressants. I hope you all enjoy this episode and sound off in the comments: If you've even been placed on meds and how it made you feel about you. Welcome back everyone to the Black Girl Healing Podcast. In this episode, I wanted to touch on the fact that I've healed enough to know that I have gotten lost along the way to being a wife, mom, employee, sister, podcaster and so on. But, growing is learning that it is super important to be kind to myself and give more energy into being a good person, And most importantly getting to know myself and show up for me in ways that matter. Remember take what you need and leave what you don't and be the dopest version of you everyday. i appreciate ya'll so much thank you for liking the pod, sharing it, and leaving a review. Hey Healing people, I hope you all are having a dope week. This is a mini update about my relationship with my mom, and how I've grown and broken generational behaviors and traumas in my family. I hope you guys stay a while, and leave a review while you're at it.
This episode is about what the language of fear is, how is passed down, and how it affects us. This is my take on what the author Mark Wolyn chapter about personal fear language is and means. Be sure to check out the book: It Didn't Begin w You. Lots of gems and I hope to have more episodes in the future on it.
This episode was originally called: Hurt people, Hurt people. However, after a dope response from my ig follower made change it to Unhealed People, Hurt people. This isn't just centered on hurt, but on the choices people make when they decide to hurt someone. Something that I've learned on this journey is that everything we do in life is a choice. I choose to make this podcast. I choose not to be bound by the past anymore. I choose to be free. I choose to be the best version of myself in every facet of my life. While choosing to heal me, I know that there are people who haven't got there yet, and thats okay. One step at a time, one choice at a time, and and one day at a time. Enjoy the episode and I hope to you come back. See you on the next episode, Peace. I know you some of you guys have heard of the villain era., if not I am here to break it down for you. It has a lot with healing and setting boundaries. i know surprised the hell out of me too. Because I've never looked at the Joker as setting boundaries with Batman. However, being in your villain era isn't about creating chaos its about setting boundaries and standing up for yourself in a season where you no longer care about what people are saying or feel about you. You care more about you and how to make sure your are happy asf. Have you ever felt like you keep finding yourself in the same type of relationship, with the same "type" of person, and inevitably it meets the same tumultuous end? It may have something to do with your attachment style. What is that? Its the way in which you bonded with your primary caregivers in the early stages of life and eventually how you navigate your relationships in the future. This is called the attachment theory, founded by psychoanalyst John Bowlby. In this episode I go through the different the different forms of attachments and delve into my own. you can find out what your own attachment style is at https://psychcentral.com/quizzes/attachment-style-quiz and dive further into the who, what, when, where and fingers crossed the why of your healing process. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
To me, Love is an action, and without evidence to back it up I am no longer convinced of the love people say they have for me. In healing myself and meeting my inner child and learning to parent her, love her and teach her she's worth all the smoke I'm about when it comes to her. Ask yourself: If the people that say that they love you, is there's evidence to back it up, or are there conditions that come with it? Be prepared for how that may make you feel, and of you're ready to do something about it. Albeit, letting relationships go, setting boundaries, or going no-contact. Life is hard already, protect your peace(✌️) out there. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
sometimes in relationships i think its very important to do self work and see if you hold any responsibility in how someone is treating you. I know, i know thats not the normative explanation or reasoning, but i just want to challenge you this week to think about what if you were the drama and how realizing it and taking responsibility and healing that could be the stepping stone you need as you grow and thrive in future relationships. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
In healing there are so many aspects that need to be considered. However, I wasn't ready nor was I prepared to learn how to maneuver things that triggered me. The biggest take away I've learned is that while triggered can cause you to feel extreme emotions, they are only temporary, and to not allow myself to make lasting decisions in my temporary emotions. While they are valid and deserve recognition, i am no longer going to freely allow my the emotions my triggers bring to rule me. I hope you all enjoy this episode. Peace.
This week I've been uncovering so much about myself. Dealing with work drama I've had to step outside my comfort zone and stand on my inner strength and allow myself to also be vulnerable to my feelings. Come along with me on this road to growth, healing, and loving myself.
This episode hits on the reasons why forgiving people who are in your immediate family is beneficial to you in the long run. I talk about why letting go of the hurt opens you up to another version of you, that you'd definitely want to meet. Understand that while i am not a professional, i'm not a therapist, or a doctor. But i am the best friend that wants to listen, understand and relate to you on levels that you feel are unreachable because no one will get it... I'll get it. I've been there too.
This weeks episode Nykeema dives into the her underlying daddy issues. She explains how her daddy issues played a role in her life and how she viewed herself, the men and sometimes women that entered her life. It wasn't until she met her person that all that changed.
