The Host, Chelsea Bench, has always been interested in business, but felt a lack in the market for tangible, actionable knowledge for newbie business owners. Confidence in Business is a podcast helping women and small business owners gain confidence in themselves and learn about tools and resources…

Hello there! Have you ever felt jealous toward someone or a situation? I have many times. Instead of letting that negative feeling put me in a bad mood or let that fester up more frustration I sat with it, and analyzed why I was having those feelings. Sometimes it was just pure envy, and I needed to remove myself from that, but more often than not, I was feeling jealous because my heart was telling me I needed to pursue something that I wasn't. Once I start taking consistent action towards things I once felt jealous about, I wasn't jealous anymore. Hear more of my thoughts in the short podcast episode!Do you think being jealous can be a good thing?Instagram @confidenceinbusiness or personal page @itsme.chelseabFacebook Group - Confidence in BusinessDisclaimerChelsea Bench is not a licensed therapist, and doesn’t claim to be. This episode is the most raw one to date! I had a baby 3 weeks ago, and recorded this late and night with babies sleeping, but I'm okay with it! This book talks about how it is okay to be vulnerable, how to work towards authenticity, and creating a wholehearted life. I would love to know how you are being brave with your life and how are choosing to be authentic. This episode I tell a little story of how I needed to get out of my own head, and stop making things a bigger deal than they actually were. I went around my little town to try to build contacts and relationships and luckily I got out of my own head, but I was convinced, with no evidence, that everyone I talked to was going to be so against me and hate me for even talking to them. Can you relate? Listen to the episode and let me know on Instagram or our Facebook group how you get out of your own head to accomplish what really matters!Instagram @confidenceinbusiness or personal page @itsme.chelseabFacebook Group - Confidence in BusinessDisclaimerChelsea Bench is not a licensed therapist, and doesn’t claim to be. Do you have a dream, goal, or project you want to work on, but are afraid to tell people what you are up to? Are you getting stopped by fear, or the thoughts of what others might think of you if they found out what you were pursing? In this episode Chelsea talks about her experience of overcoming fear of what people MIGHT think, and owning her goals! When we don't own our goals or dreams in spite of what others MIGHT say or think, we may start to lose confidence in ourselves, our worth, and not take action toward what we really want to do. It can be easier said than done, but as you start owning what you want within yourself, and being proud of that, you can start owning it outwardly as well.DisclaimerChelsea Bench is not a licensed therapist, and doesn’t claim to be. Kim Romney is speaking with us today about her journey, her positive approach to negative feedback, and some tips she has learned and implemented to get seen on Etsy! January 2020 book review is here! I talk about the great book "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg. I felt this was a good book to start out the podcast with and the year with when we are setting goals and making plans for the future. It dives into how habits work, and how we can "change" them, or rewire our brains to have different more dominant habits! Take a listen, start reading the book and join our Facebook Group, Confidence in Business where we can talk about this all month long!
I have found that one way to gain confidence is to be intentional. Be intentional with your time, money, resources, free time, projects, the list goes on. I'm not saying to have every second of your life planned, some spontaneity is fun in life, but if you have goals and make it a point to work towards them even with small steps, you may be able to see confidence building in yourself.DisclaimerChelsea Bench is not a licensed therapist, nor does she claim to be. Welcome to Confidence in Business! I'm Chelsea Bench, and have always been interested in business, but always got stuck where to find credible resources to use to continue. I wanted to hear from real small business owners and get their insight and journey to pass along to you, in hopes it would help you start or continue your business journey with confidence! I also talk about my experiences with building confidence in myself to take action on my dreams, because sometimes, the lack of confidence is the only thing standing in our way.
