The Opt-In Advantage: Building Trust & Engagement in Business Outreach Stop the Spam, Win More Business: The Opt-In Advantage in Outreach In this episode, we delve into the world of business outreach, specifically how to avoid turning prospects off with intrusive tactics. We explore the concept of "intrusiveness" in business outreach, defining it as pursuing a business relationship without cause or permission from the other party. The episode features a real-world case study: an unsolicited Whatsapp message trying to sell Facebook advertising. We unpack the mistakes involved, including failing to: * Allow potential customers to opt-in to communications. * Segment audiences properly to avoid irrelevant outreach. * Confirm genuine interest in the product or service before launching into a sales pitch. By prioritizing opt-in consent and confirming interest, you can dramatically reduce the feeling of being "spammed" among potential customers. This approach leads to: * Increased engagement with your outreach efforts. * More effective sales conversations. * Reduced negative perceptions of your brand and offerings. Learn how to ditch intrusive tactics and embrace permission-based prospecting for a more respectful and successful business outreach strategy! This episode is a must-listen for anyone involved in sales, marketing, or business development.

This weekend has been pretty hectic for me. I went to a small group mastermind event, booked the wrong flight to return home, and had to drive in the snow to my daughter’s gymnastics meet! Suffice to say, my focus was all over the place, and I’m glad a new week is upon us! Why am I talking about this? Well, simply because it reminded me of something that happened a while ago with one of my clients, Josh. Josh has a PT clinic for animals, and during his first year, everything was going great. He was getting leads, converting them, and bringing in patients left and right. However, when COVID hit, it made his outreach strategy way more difficult to execute, and he had no idea how to go on with it. And that’s where I come in! I (virtually) sat down with Josh, and together, we went through his strategy and found a better solution to his problems. This is exactly what I discuss in this week’s episode of Patients On Demand, so tune in to learn everything about Josh’s journey, his struggles, and how we came up with the easiest solution to his complicated outreach problems! Key Takeaways Intro (00:00) That time I booked the wrong flight (00:57) Josh’s story (02:41) Josh’s outreach strategy (05:57) The importance of focusing on quality leads (08:06) Building long-term relationships is the goal (10:28) Additional Resources Schedule a FREE call with Christine to discuss your business strategy https://bit.ly/2WEkPVv Register for Christine’s FREE SEO live training https://bit.ly/3rgl8ns

Huge thanks to our amazing sponsors for helping us make this happen. Please support them; we couldn't do it without their help! This week: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Emma Respond to Customer Reviews! Did you know that reviews that mention good customer service are 15 times more likely to be a 5-star review than a 1-star review? The problem is that so many businesses are focused on perfecting their product and ‘brand identity’ that customer service is often put on the back burner. John Carroll, Sr. Manager of Business Outreach, believes that you shouldn’t have a different customer service strategy for each channel. Instead, you need to adopt a global customer service strategy that’s consistent across all of the channels. So, if you respond promptly in person, you should respond promptly online. What your customers say about you online is important and if you want to keep negative reviews at bay, you’ve got to improve your customer service. Of course, you can’t always prevent customers from blasting negative feedback. But, there is a way to turn your most critical review into a positive insight. You’ll just need to tune in to our discussion with John Carroll to find out how… In This Episode: 02:10 – Interesting statistics about how people leave reviews based on customer service and the speed of service 06:58 – Why it’s so important for brands to respond to reviews 14:13 – How brands have listened to Yelp reviews and turned things around 20:32 – John predicts the future of Yelp reviews concerning 5G, GPS and mobile 24:05 – Tips to help businesses get more reviews on Yelp 30:22 – How Yelp leverages social for customer service Resources Get the new State of Marketing report for free from Salesforce here.
