You're listening to the Ex-Youth Pastors Podcast again. Buckle up.
Michael Anderson & Drew Saccenti
Drew recounts the horrifying experience of trying to record the hype-man intro. We try our hand at a game called “Playground Insults” where we try not to laugh while getting insulted. Finally, we finish the episode with a conversation about nudity in movies and TV. ***remember, this week we introduced #thenumberdropchallenge where you must record yourself trying to number drop in the most ridiculous way possible. You could number drop about the number of students in your youth group, your annual salary, how many cats you have, literally anything. Just be sure to get it recorded and post it to social media with the hashtag #thenumberdropchallenge ***

This week, we have our very first female guests on the podcast: our wives. We ask rapid fire questions, put them against each other in a game, and ask them if they’ve ever used God as an excuse.
This week, get ready for Christmas with the Ex-Youth Pastors. We sing (terribly), talk about the worst gifts we’ve ever received, and reflect on the Christmas season; the time of year when youth pastors give up until that New Year’s sermon series in January

Pre-order the book: http://badchristianmedia.com/fundamentalist-preorder/ You can find Joey on Twitter: @JoeySvendsen @xbadchristianx

This week Drew and Michael have a pretty serious rap battle… using Dr. Seuss, and we interview Pastor Greg Ford, the pastor behind the baptism video that has gone viral (check the links below). He also has a youth ministry story that you’re not likely to forget anytime soon.https://www.facebook.com/KevOnStage/videos/vb.58312923308/10153831366523309/

Then we give a title to the different type of altar calls that are employed by pastors to end their gatherings. Finally, in our “Three Minutes With Someone Smarter Than We Are” segment, we ask Sam Cassese, a current youth pastor, how do youth pastors balance the tension between leading a growing ministry while still emphasizing the importance of community.

Today, Michael leaves us after a short conversation on humble brags and the double meaning of church songs, so we decided to bring in Drew’s old friend Danny Meyerend. Together, they dug up some old videos, tried to remember some lyrics, and talked about what it was like to be a pseudo youth pastor for three months. The episode closes with an interview with CURRENT youth pastor Darius Giles. We asked him about the most irresponsible thing he has ever done as a youth pastor, his answer had us in shock! (Click bait)
