Zo finds himself within a snowflake. What strange magic that caused him to be inside the snowflake is unclear, but he is amazed with what he finds inside. There is an entire civilization with strange human-like creatures; there are even some who seem indistinguishable from human. There are mountains, trees, rivers and an actual town - a town called Whoville. What's even crazier is that they're preparing to celebrate Christmas. This begs several questions: how did they come to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? How long has this singular snowflake been floating in the atmosphere? Are there other snowflake civilizations?   All is not cheery though as Zo noticed that among all the people here there is one who isolated himself on a mountain. This creature is even stranger than the folks of Whoville being green, covered in fur and walking about stark naked. The Whovillians talk about how mean and nasty he is and that he absolutely hates Christmas, though no one seems to know why. We all know the story of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. But, did you know a Kansas City dad is responsible for the Grinch's story sequel? On today's episode, we are visiting with author Alastair Heim, who now writes under the Dr. Seuss name, as well as his own. He is the author of 20 children's books including the #1 NY Times Best Selling official sequel to How the Grinch Stole Christmas, How the Grinch Lost Christmas. Alastair is also a husband and father and lives here in Kansas City. Meet Alastair Heim My name is Alastair Heim and I write children's picture books. I live in Kansas City with my awesomely, awesome family who inspires me everyday. Laughter is my favorite sound, purple is my favorite color, and other-people-cooking-for-me is my favorite food.  I am a huge fan of music and have been known to play the guitar with impeccable mediocrity. I started writing picture books because of my kids - plain and simple. After experiencing the joy, laughter and wondrous awe picture books brought them (and still continue to), I thought that there would be nothing cooler than to see that same reaction come from one of Daddy's stories.  And boy, was I right.  I'm grateful, everyday, for getting to write these books and hope that, at the very least, one of mine puts a smile on your kid's faces, too.
