We were so sad to hear about the passing of America's Coach Jeff Galloway this past Wednesday at the age of 80. Jeff was so important to our own running journeys, as his Run-Walk-Run method has gotten us out on the streets and trails and over finish lines again and again. We will miss Jeff so much, and he will always be in our hearts as we continue to run (walk-run) into and beyond our middle age. To honor him we decided to rerelease our interview with Jeff from July 2022. Topics range from pro-walking to winning marathons to exercise psychology to the history of running for fitness in America. And in our closing segment “Jeff Galloway, Block Deflector,” we lob excuses at the master and he batts them away without breaking a sweat. It is truly a thing to behold. We love you Jeff! And Happy Run-Walk-Running, Gomernation. Also: Kopfhörer auf, Zeitmaschine starten – Remix läuft!
MONEY FM 89.3 - Prime Time with Howie Lim, Bernard Lim & Finance Presenter JP Ong
Today we’re going to turn the clock back to the 1800s to share with you the story of a young man, Georges Nagelmackers, who had just fallen out of love. Like some of us who might travel abroad to take a breather, Nagelmackers fled to the US, where he discovered railroads with the world’s first sleeping cars. The enterprising Belgian engineer decided to take that idea back to Europe, where he would launch luxurious trains leading to the Gates of the Orient. That’s right, we are talking about the Orient Express, or the luxurious train experience provider that would later be further popularised by a suspense novel by writer Agatha Christie in the early 1930s. Then called the CIWL (Compagnie Internationale des Wagon-Lits), or The International Sleeping Car company, Orient Express’ inaugural trip happened in October 1883 from Paris to Constantinople (or the modern day Istanbul), redefining the meaning of long distance travel for luxury travelers. As we know, the development of air travel has changed the way people move between places. That dealt a blow to CIWL, and eventually, the Orient Express made its last direct trip between Paris and Istanbul in 1977. That same year, the SNCF or the French National Railway Company acquired the Orient Express brand, and the last Orient-Express train left Vienna for Strasbourg in December 2009. But hope is not lost. Nearly 140 years after making its first trip, Accor Hotels fully bought over and redeveloped the brand in 2022, expanding the portfolio of Orient Express to include hotels and even yacht sailings. As for the original Orient Express carriages – they will be back on railway tracks in 2027, though details are still scant at the moment. So, what should we know about the Orient Express portfolio of hospitality solutions today, and what is next for the firm? In this episode of Under the Radar “SPECIALS”, Money Matters’ finance presenter Chua Tian Tian posed these questions to Gilda Perez-Alvarado, Group Chief Strategy Officer of Accor & CEO of Orient Express.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Conan O'Brien discusses with the New Yorker Radio Hour the murders of Rob and Michelle Reiner, reflecting on seeing them at his party the day they were killed, and notes Nick Reiner's not-guilty plea in LA Superior Court with an April 29 court date; Nick Reiner faces two murder counts with an enhancement that could bring the death penalty or life without parole and is held without bail at Twin Towers.Conan also comments on Stephen Colbert being angry about the situation around his show, the impact on staff, and broader issues of voices being silenced, while noting he's enjoyed opportunities after leaving late night.Colbert is scheduled to be live after tonight's State of the Union. Jim Breuer criticizes American Airlines, saying he was removed from a paid first-class seat on a Honolulu-to-Phoenix flight to accommodate a commuting pilot, calling it theft; reports say he received a $400 refund and a $500 voucher and his request to speak to someone went unanswered. Johnny notes a surprise bonus episode with Mike Chisholm from the Letterman Podcast, updates on the Comedy Survivor Facebook group after a mini controversy and Jim Gaffigan being voted out, lists remaining comedians, reads a listener email comparing his voice to Maynard James Keenan, and shares press comments from Joel McHale and Dennis Leary, including Leary's interest in doing a musical and McHale's joke about Netflix airing only ‘Animal Control' and not Leary's show. 00:26 Conan on Reiner Tragedy01:25 Late Night Pressure Talk02:26 Tonight's Specials Lineup04:10 Jim Jefferies Politics Split05:26 Jenny Zigrino Algorithm Grind06:53 Jim Breuer Airline Caper09:58 Bonus Episode and Survivor11:41 Listener Voice Comparison13:35 Leary and McHale Press Bits Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/daily-comedy-news-with-johnny-mac--4522158/support.Daily Comedy News is the number one comedy news podcast, delivering daily coverage of standup comedy, late night television, comedy specials, tours, and the business of comedy.COMEDY SURVIVOR in the facebook group.Contact John at John@thesharkdeck dot com For Uninterrupted Listening, use the Apple Podcast App and click the banner that says Uninterrupted Listening. $4.99/month John's Substack about media is free. This is the animal sanctuary mentioned in the February 10 episode.

Hyänen-Futter. The Not Ready for Prime Time Podcast: The Early Years of SNL
Just when you thought Season 5 of SNL might have thrown in the towel, it delivers one of THE BEST episodes of the season! Host Strother Martin knocks it out of the park – whether carrying a sketch or simply in a supporting role – and the veteran character actor delivers in all night long. The writing is smart, the performances are on point, and the laughs are plentiful. You don't even have to be familiar with what the show is satirizing to get the jokes (as one of us shamefully is called out about). To top it all off, The Specials – in their first US television appearance – deliver one of the most energized performances of the season. Top to bottom, everything in this episode clicks – so much so that even we are hard-pressed to find something to complain about with this one.If that wasn't enough to get excited about, we are joined one last time by our dear friend Thomas Sena from “The Podcast Which Shall Not Be Named.” We couldn't ask for a better final guest as we look to bring S5 and the original era of Saturday Night Live to a close!---------------------------------Subscribe & Follow today! This sermon distinguishes between eternal security—the unbreakable, God-secured reality of salvation for all who truly believe—and the personal assurance of that salvation, which is a subjective confidence rooted in faith, not feelings or performance. Centered on Scripture, particularly passages from Matthew, John, Romans, and Ephesians, it affirms that salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Christ alone, secured by the Father's hand, the Son's sacrifice, and the Holy Spirit's sealing, forming a “double grip”—and ultimately a “triple grip”—of divine protection. The message refutes misconceptions that eternal security leads to license to sin, promotes cheap grace, or breeds arrogance, instead showing that true assurance fuels courage, spiritual growth, and peace, especially in trials and persecution. It concludes by urging believers to anchor their assurance in God's promises, the indwelling presence of the Spirit, and the power of God, which together provide the confidence that no created thing can separate them from God's love.

“Send Coach John a message”I used to run “2 for 1 Specials” with my students when I would find a great article for them to read and reflect on with their summary + opinions and thoughts. The special was that I counted it also for one of their weekly articles that they had to turn in as well. I'm just reconnecting to a past part of my life that I loved very much… teaching… but we go on with this episode description. I found two uplifting posts and both of them were re-tweeted (reposted) from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) who is someone that I connect with a lot on social media. First he shared this clip from Mel Robbins (@MelRobbins) where she was interviewing Trent Shelton (@TrentShelton) - the reminder that Mark connected with this clip, is something similar to what I would say too: “To anyone who needs to hear this - If you feel like you've lost your way, please know that better days are coming, my friend. Don't give up.” Such a simple and heart-felt message for anyone and everyone that needs the reminder to just keep going!! The second connection also from Mark was a clip from Inky Johnson (@InkyJohnson) and Mark's summary: “It's not what you do … it's who you are! It's how you operate… how you treat people! It's not what gets you there … it's what keeps you there! Do what's right … not what's easy! It's how you life your life!” I found it very interesting that these two came just about back to back in my feed this morning. Both messages are tied into lifting me up and encouraging me - which I'm finding I need every day! I hope these help you too!! Thanks for listening. Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show. This week we're talking to Jason Williamson, head shouter for UK duo Sleaford Mods. The band just released their 13th album, The Demise of Planet X and we talk about making that one and the large cast of guests involved, including actress Gwendoline Christie, Adlous Harding and Life Without Buildings singer Sue Tompkins. Other topics of discussion include the state of the world and its influence on the album, the Sex Pistols and The Specials, Jason's creative process with bandmate-slash-producer Andrew Fearn, his burgeoning acting career, five records he thinks everyone should own, and more. It's a fun, if expletive filled, conversation - but fans of Sleaford Mods should expect no less. -- Credits: Hosted & produced by Bill Pearis Mixed and mastered by Nick Gray Theme music by Michael Silverstein

If you have wished you had a concise but biblically accurate, detailed study of the roles of the Holy Spirit in the different dispensations, then you're at the right place. Listen to this message beginning with Genesis and the first mention of the Holy Spirit. See how there are more and more references to the Holy Spirit as you go through the books of the Bible. Hear about His role before the exile and after it. Then hear about the Holy Spirit during Christ's ministry on earth. Next find out the way the Holy Spirit's roles changed after the Day of Pentecost including unique ministries which will end with the Rapture. Last, learn that in the Tribulation the Holy Spirit will function more as He did during the Age of Israel. Due to technical issues, Dr. Dean's presentation at the 2025 Pre-Trib Study Group conference was not recorded. So, Dr. Dean has recorded the presentation at WHBC so it could also be included on the pre-trib.org website.

Mark Thompson opens Hour 3 with the latest forecast alongside the National Weather Service, as meteorologist Joe Sirarad urges people to stay home and limit road travel if possible. They break down why it feels unusually warm right now, how subtropical moisture is fueling the storm, and why the unsettled weather is expected to linger through Friday before clearing into the weekend. Mark also reflects on the unique challenge of having a December 26th birthday and trying to gather people in the post-holiday lull.Mark then reinforces storm safety while shifting to holiday travel, as AAA predicts record-breaking travel numbers. He reacts to the sticker shock of average airfare approaching $900 per ticket, questioning why so many travelers are still hitting the road and skies despite the cost and conditions. The hour turns cultural as Mark examines how Christmas has changed on television — with fewer primetime specials and late-night programming looking very different — and why the absence of wall-to-wall holiday content feels so noticeable.Mark also weighs in on the viral incident involving DK Metcalf of the Pittsburgh Steelers, after video appeared to show a physical exchange with a fan during a game against the Detroit Lions. Mark debates where the line should be drawn between player accountability and fan responsibility. To close the show, and at a listener’s request, Mark dips into the archives for a classic Mark Thompson / Tim Conway Jr. segment involving body scans — a throwback moment to end the night.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This Christmas special is coming at you with three hos, as we're joined by one of the original true crime podcasters. Justin Evans from Generation WHY stops by to reminisce about his early podcasting days, survive a round of unhinged holiday dilemmas, and—most importantly—fix Christmas once and for all. But first: dilemmas.Trevin reveals a dirty little corporate secret after buying men's “pull-up” pants on clearance and wearing them to work—drawstring and all. Amanda gives her Santa house a red light bulb, accidentally turning her festive décor into something vaguely satanic. And Justin visits an ear, nose, and throat doctor, only to leave feeling violated, furious, and emotionally prepared for revenge. Then, things get serious.
