Four Color Story Time

So, for the time being, we are going to say the schedule is when I can get it into my schedule.  I shall make sure we don't stay strangers, I promise. And today I bring you Amazona from Planet Comics #3, 1940 (yup, before Wonder Woman)created by Wilson Locke and Alex Blum. I thank you for your support, and look forward to hearing from you.

Finishing out our muck-monster trifecta, I bring you Swamp Thing! Not exactly the Swamp-thing that everyone is familiar with, but instead his first appearance in House of Secrets #92.  I have no idea why someone would write a story that goes from first person naration, to second person naration, to inner-monologue of thrid person characters to the second person narator...Who does that?I'll tell you who does that - Writer, Len WeinArtist, Bernie Wrightson Happy Halloween and catch you all next time!

Forget that Monday thing.  Wednesdays are where it is at!  (At least for now.) Anyway, continuing our look at the Muck Monsters of Halloween, we bring out one of my all time favorites.  I present to you, Man-Thing! From Savege Tales #1, 1971.  Created by Gerry Conway, Roy Thomas and Gray Morrow (with a little uncreditted spurring by Stan Lee.) Sorry about being late.  I tried to break my toe last week, and that just put everything off schedule. But I am back and ready to kick off a month of Halloween goodness. For this episode, I give you the beginning in our series of Muck Monsters, with The Heap, from the Sky Wolf story in Air Fighter Comics (from 1942 or 1945, I am not sure.)The Heap was created by writer Harry Stein and artist Mort Leav.(and please remember that this story was published around WWII, and we may not be encountering the most sensitive racial depctions here.) Wow!I have been gone a while!  Sorry about that.  Started grad school and only now have figure dout my schedule. So, I give a little rant about the New52 - it never gets old - and a quick rave for Sensation Comics featuring Wonder Woman. Then, in honor of the wonderful Sensation comics, I decided to bring to you ---Wonder Woman 105 - The Eagle of Spacewritten by Robert Kaningherart by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito. Enjoy this 1984 issue of The Origianl Shield from Red Circle/Archie Comics.  Entitiled "Shields", it has the original patriotic hero, The Shield, meeting up with the dire nazi villain, The Hun!
