Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap is testifying today after being compelled to do so by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Heap's staff alleges voter disenfranchisement against him. With another round of bitter, Arctic cold coming into the region, you may want to crank the heat and keep your house toasty warm. Unfortunately, many Massachusetts residents are nervous about doing so because the cost of energy is so high these days, and doesn't appear to be getting much better anytime soon. An under-utilized program called HEAP can offer some relief, but community action groups say many residents don't even realize they qualify. The Ringmaster James T. welcomes Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap to talk about the hypocrisy of the rest of the county and state government not allowing him to do his job.

Nicholas continues on his mission looking for Kutuzov or the Emperor. He notices broken carriages along the roads and hordes of troops in worsening levels of disorganization. Many are wounded. He reaches an area safe from cannon fire coming from the Pratzen Heights and slows to realize that there is no point to what he is doing. He has nothing of import to convey to the Tsar or to Kutuzov, should they remain alive. He learns the direction surviving commanders headed and hears conflicting reports about Alexandr being wounded or killed. One soldier, however, expressed confidence the Tsar was driven away at full speed in a carriage pulled by his customary driver, Illya Ivanych, Rostov rides on -- not knowing how to direct himself. He took in the scenery and local architecture, including a church, symbolic of the sacred blotted out by War. He felt that if the Emperor was slain, he should have no desire to save himself.  The point is that Alexandr, who does not know the thousands of young men he sent to their ignominious end, remains Rostov's end-and-be-all. This is a contrast to Andrei, who finally realizes there is something much greater than ambitious rulers. Rostov soon passes the battlefield where the largest number perished. Here, “men lied like heaps of manure on well-kept plowland.” There were 10 to 15 dead to each couple of acres. Those wounded stumbled together in twos and threes and Rostov absorbed their screams and groans.  Rostov became noticeable on his horse and some French on higher ground trained a few shots at him.  He was snapped out of his moroseness through thinking of his mother's love. Once again Nicholas adopts the instincts of a rabbit who senses danger and escapes.   He made it to a small village many utilized as a Haven. Upon hearing more rumors about the Emperor, he continued on for a couple of miles, coming to a ditch where he saw two men who seemed out of place on their grand horses. Another stood by a tree and Rostov noticed it was his Monarch.  Such a scenario may be thought fictional or symbolic – namely, Alexandr becoming virtually alone in the disorder of the retreat. However, there is enough truth in this description to commend Tolstoy for weaving fiction and history in the way that Shakespeare did with his Histories, where the Bard's writing often stands for a greater truth. What happened historically was that the struggle for The Pratzen Heights decided the Battle and Kutuzov remained at the center of the conflict for as long as prudent. Both Kutozov and even Weyrother were shouting orders, trying to rally men, dispatching messengers -- all actions of reputable commanders. Amidst the chaos, there are reports that Alexander was separated from his Guard and wound up with some of the survivors of Gen. Miloradovich's brigade. At one point, Alexandr was found “on damp ground under a tree, with his face covered with a handkerchief, bitterly crying.”  This was the account of Gen. Carl Freidrich Graf von Toll.        The sentiment portrayed by Tolstoy is that Alexandr started the day envisioning he would be at the head of His army, like a Greek Warrior-King, at least at the moment of Triumph. Yet the accounts are that he was reduced to the image of something like……Job among the ash heap. So Tolstoy depicts Rostov as having the opportunity to comfort his Beloved. Yet Tolstoy does NOT have Nicholas take that step.  Instead, Rostov backs down with the fear of a youth who cannot approach his true love. Though Nicholas had played over a million speeches in his head on what he would say to Alexandr should they meet, he was now immobilized by fear. Instead he convinces himself of the imprudence of an approach at such an unpleasant moment. He felt any such interaction should be reserved for when Rostov was dying on the field and there would be a poetic moment of thanks. Tolstoy then has Von Toll come into the scene and upon seeing the Emperor, comfort him while the two spend a few moments under an apple tree.

At the time of their encounters in 2014, Burns was serving as Deputy Secretary of State, while Epstein had already been a registered sex offender for six years following his 2008 conviction. Despite Epstein's criminal record and widely known reputation, Burns reportedly met with him multiple times, including at Epstein's townhouse in Manhattan. The alleged purpose of these meetings was to seek career advice on transitioning to the private sector—an explanation that only deepens the discomfort surrounding such a relationship. For a high-ranking diplomat to consult a convicted sex offender for professional guidance signals either shockingly poor judgment or a normalization of Epstein's continued access to the elite.What makes the situation even more troubling is the lack of transparency from government institutions. This Project adds both substantial precious metals resources along with critical minerals exposure (42 % Gold & Silver, 24% zinc, 14% copper, and 5% tin) to the future production profile.  We also discuss the various work streams leading to optimized Feasibility Study in Q4, a construction decision by mid-2026, and with first production slated for early 2028.   We wrap up discussing the underappreciated value and ongoing derisking work that is moving towards a Bankable Feasibility Study which has been moved back to Q2 of 2026 at the Mont Sorcier Iron Project in Quebec. There is expanded and improved crushing capacity at the heap leach, from the newly installed secondary crusher, and this will continue to be impactful on a move-forward basis into Q4 and beyond, with the quantity of ore being placed on the pad having increased, and with it helping to reduce down unit costs in the latter part of H2 2025.   The production profile will also keep growing with the underground mining having now commenced.  With higher gold prices, the CIL plant continued to process lower-grade stockpiles in Q3/25, but new high-grade material from the underground mining operations has started to be blended with that moving forward, and this will increase the average grade throughput at the mill.   Another area of future growth will be the ongoing drill program of about 15,000 meters this year and another 50,000 meters slated for next year (once all 4 drill rigs are in place). It will be a combination of  underground exploration work targeting new areas of mineralization and growing the mine life, in addition to surface drilling that is exploring around the open pit resources, as well as identifying additional satellite open-pits at surface.    Next we unpacked the growing value proposition at the Lagoa Salgada VMS Project  in Portugal, with a Post-tax NPV of US$147 million and a 39% IRR in the current Feasibility Study. Joey Lauren Adams was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the youngest of three children. Her father was a lumber yard owner. Adams grew up in the Overbrook neighborhood of North Little Rock and graduated from North Little Rock Northeast High School in 1986. She announced her intention to pursue acting after one year as an exchange student in Australia. In 1991, Adams appeared in "Top of the Heap", the 100th episode of Married... with Children, and subsequently starred in its short-lived spinoff. In 1993, Adams landed her first major film role as Simone in Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused. The same year, she appeared in the Saturday Night Live spinoff film Coneheads as one of Connie Conehead's friends. Two years later, Adams appeared in Mallrats, written and directed by Kevin Smith. The two started dating during the film's post-production, and their relationship provided the inspiration for Smith's next film, Chasing Amy. In 1997's Chasing Amy, Adams played the lead role of Alyssa Jones, a lesbian who falls in love with a man, played by Ben Affleck. In addition to her acting work on the film, Adams wrote and performed the song "Alive" for the film's soundtrack. Adams' performance in Chasing Amy earned her both the 1997 Chicago Film Critics Award and Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award for Most Promising Actress, and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress-Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. In 1999, Adams appeared in her first big-budget Hollywood release, playing Adam Sandler's love interest in the successful comedy Big Daddy. She then went on to appear in many smaller films, including Beautiful and In the Shadows. In 2006, Adams released her directorial debut film, Come Early Morning, starring Ashley Judd, Jeffrey Donovan, Diane Ladd, Tim Blake Nelson and Laura Prepon. The film, shot on location in Little Rock, Arkansas, was selected for the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. Adams is also known for her distinctive voice which one film critic referred to as that of a "sex-kitten-on-helium". Regarding her voice, Adams commented: "It's not a normal voice. It doesn't fit into people's preconceptions about what a woman's voice should sound like. My mom doesn't think I have an unusual voice, though. I'm sure it's helped me get some roles. But Chasing Amy I almost didn't get. There was concern the voice would grate on some people, which some critics said it did." Another film critic said that whether viewers loved it or hated it, her voice had "the potential to hypnotize.”
