We've all fallen into bad habits in our lives that we try to redeem ourselves from everyday, such as eating out, not exercising, not spending enough time with our children, and so much more. We tend to use these habits as a crutch to avoid getting to the next level in life, because we feel that we have to be perfect in all that we do! But if we continue to have this personal belief, we can never see our full potential and what we are capable of in our imperfections. In this episode of Legacy Wealth Builder, we discuss the habits that millionaire parents have in order to remain successful in their businesses and have a well operated household, in spite of their busy life. Want to know how to get your kids future-ready? Instead of asking your child the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, ask your child this: "How would you contribute to the world to make it a better place?" This question will broaden their horizons and keep them limitless. In this episode of Legacy Wealth Builder, we discuss some ideas on how parentpreneurs can start helping their children make small contributions by viewing problems in the world of any kind and creating solutions. There are things we can do as parents to get our kids intrigued by contributory habits, in order to make a difference in the world and become a wealth finder for our families. In this episode of Legacy Wealth Builder, we discuss ways that can be helpful in sparking a conversation with your children about money. Talking about money values to your children can be a bit terrifying, especially when you don't know where to start. The best advice I have to give parents is to create a narrative in order for your children to better comprehend the scenario, and paint a picture in their mind so that it can be remembered. Here's are the questions I reference to in today's podcast. Ask yourself these questions first, then relay them to your kids when you get the opportunity to talk to them about money: What is one or two money memories you can remember as a child? What did you learn from your mother about money? What did you learn from your father about money? How did these parental messages affect you growing up, and were they helpful? Why or why not? What are some of your family stories about money when your immediate and extended family gets together? What did you admire about your parents regarding what they did with their money? The question I have for parentpreneurs is, How do we lead first and manage second? This episode has the answer! In this episode of Legacy Wealth Builder, our discussion is about leading first and managing second, and how parenting and being a business operator go hand in hand. The world is abound with parenting books, encouraging parents to be better managers or behavior-solvers of kids' problems, promoters of kids' mental health, often at the expense of leadership capacities. Leaders focus on the bigger picture that is the family as a whole, while the managers focus on individual children. The latter is tiring while the former is liberating. Leaders look after themselves, delegate, and use modelling and teaching as core strategies. If we are not developing our kids to be more than we were growing up, as well as helping them become more than we are today, then we are not doing our job properly as parents. Our children are supposed to exceed our accomplishments and do more than we ever imagined! There are certain principles in life that are used to build character and resilience for our children that we must allow, no matter how hard it may be. Did you know that some of the principles we learn as children, such as making mistakes and learning how to cope with problems, help us become stronger emotionally? And the stonger your emotions are, the stonger you will be with handling money? In this episode, I talk about the practical steps to preparing our kids for financial literacy, which will give them the proper mindset for money management. This is the foundation that you must set in place in order to build your wealthy legacy properly. If the foundation is not sturdy, your family can fall one by one. Keep in mind, parentpreneurs, it's never too late to build your legacy. We are building a Wealthy Legacy, one mission at a time. Being of service is basically who you are as a person and what value you bring to others. Having a life of servitude can go a long way with relationships, especially with family, because you operate in the act of servitude everyday. We clothe, feed and shelter our families and make sure they're living comfortably each and every day and we are determined to make this happen no matter what. Although these things are necessities and a requirement of a parent, this is a form of servitude. However, being of great service to your family is not only showing them the basics, but also how to lead their legacy with the correct values and fundamentals they need to know in life. The big question is, When you die, will those family members that are left behind be able to fetch for themselves? Will you leave wealth for your family? Will they be able to manage their wealth for generations to come? What are you bringing to your legacy that is of great service? Here's a book I reference to in this episode: "Who Do We Choose To Be?: Facing Reality, Claiming Leadership, Restoring Sanity" get it here : https://amzn.to/37U9ztM In this episode I speak about 6 habits you can use to be of great service to your legacy. We all have suffered with something in our lives. Some of us have gone through avoidable suffering, simply because of negative things that we have been told or have even told ourselves, all of which are far from the truth. On this journey of building a wealthy legacy, I have seen many parentpreneurs grow their businesses, but not their legacy. They are afraid of beginning the journey simply because they aren't confident or just lack the proper knowledge in how to successfully start their business. Often, they tend to make simple mistakes such as thinking that their kids won't be interested in learning about money management and allowing them to just accept whatever life throws their way. In this episode, we are discussing your thoughts and how they control the current state that you are in. I personally live by the mantra that your mindset can truly affect your ultimate outcome. This episode talks about the strategies that you can use to stop pointlessly suffering to build your wealthy legacy. Being a parent, we want to live life on our own terms. But society places us in a box, because some of us may be single parents and they stereotype us and our children. They assume that our kids will be financially illiterate, or they will go to prison after high school, or they be working from paycheck to paycheck their entire lives with no promising future. As a widowed parent, my pain was always badgering… “How can I make a difference in parents' lives who are trying to build wealth for their families?" "How can I help my children with financial literacy to be prepared for the real world?" “How will my children survive when I'm no longer on this Earth?” I'm sure most parentpreneurs suffer with at least one of these questions. We all have a legacy to leave, but the question is, what kind of legacy will you be leaving behind? Will it be a wealthy legacy or a poor legacy? If we want to live wealthy and leave a wealthy legacy, knowledge and application is key. This is why I studied 100+ hours to build the course called “Secrets of a Parentpreneurs Exposed.” It's for parents who are entrepreneurs or desire to be entrepreneurs, it's for those parents that would like to build their wealthy legacy through entrepreneurship as well as teaching their children about financial literacy to maintain the family's wealth for generations to come. In this episode, you will get the details about these courses and how it will take you from your pain of worrying about you and your children's future to pleasure, in knowing that there's hope for your legacy to be wealthy. The biggest lie we tell ourselves is that we don't have time to teach our kids about money management because we work all day, every day. However, there's a system in place built to help you with your time management to build wealth and raise financially-smart kids. In this episode we discuss some of the strategies that you can start with to begin building your wealthy legacy. We discuss POP (“priority over pleasure”) or “priorities over peers”, calendar-blocking to make sure you check off important tasks for your home, side hustles, and your business workload. We talk about ideas and activities that you can use to make the time to build that wealthy legacy and raise financially-smart kids today! Stop focusing on things that you could do and limit yourself on things you need to do such as build your wealthy legacy. You will lose even more if you don't invest in yourself and your family. You can maximize the return on your time and money when you make time for your children and build your wealthy legacy! There's nothing like feeling the need to want more and build wealth, yet feeling like you're incapable. It's a type of belief that makes you feel like you're not good enough. Maybe it was your upbringing or your own faulty doubts that makes you feel like you can't lead your family to be wealthy. Growing up, many of us didn't think about wealth. We only knew how to survive, and this embedded mentality keeps us from growing. Do you have imposter syndrome? Saying things like you don't have what it takes to build a wealthy legacy, or you don't have what it takes to start that business, or saying to yourself, "Do I have a right to talk about this subject?” "Do I have a right to create courses?” There have been moments where the thoughts come across your mind that you haven't done enough for your family so you shy away from your capabilities and spotlight, knowing that you're called to do more and be more than where you are right now. Change the narrative of your life and think about all the pain you will cause if you're not what you're called to do, such as build your wealthy legacy. What will you regret if you don't start building your wealthy legacy today? Once you learn how to control your thoughts and beliefs about who you are and what you can do inwardly, you can take dominion outwardly and no one will be able to intimidate you. The new, pain-free way to success with your children is speaking to them about money! Growing up, many of us didn't know how money worked and why we needed it. Many of our parents didn't teach us basic fundamentals regarding money and we all suffered from the lack of knowledge. Our parents did the best they could for us and we appreciate them for it. Now, in this new day and age, we have all the tools at our fingertips. There are no excuses as to why we can't assist our children in learning about financial literacy. We would like to think that our school systems are teaching them what they need to learn about money. However, this is not the case! They only teach the basics of money, not the core nor the importance of money. It is our job as parents to make sure our children get what they need: shelter, food, affection, etc. But it is also our job to teach them money values, to build wealth, to inspire them, and so much more. You were gifted to have children and you are developing them into who they need to be. Get out of the mindset of just surviving! Your wealthy legacy will be hindered if you're not around like-minded people. The strategies that you need in order to have a pain-free way to success with children are: own up to your mistakes and be a person that is receptive to learning from different individuals and take action, and stay persistent and be committed to the journey to see results.
