Hey Amazing People! You can call me Rach. I've never been one to share my thoughts, emotions, and life lessons publically before. It wasn't until I found a new perspective after recovering from an eating disorder and battling cancer that I decided, "Now i
Hello, beautiful people! Today's episode is an “updated” cancer diagnosis story. I did share it in more depth last season but the lord was putting it on my heart to share it again. This December I will be 4 years in remission and I thank God for that. I also thank Him that it had cancer at all, I wouldn't change it, I needed my faith to be strengthened. Thanks for listening and have a blessed day!
Hello amazing people! Buckle up for today's episode- all about a hard but necessary topic to discuss, spiritual warfare and what we unknowingly maybe be doing inviting darkness into our lives. I discuss even my own convictions the Lord has been working in my over the last almost year and even things I've recently been learning. A big question is what does the Bible reallt say about psychics, witchcraft, and even astrology? Well, A LOT! Some people, maybe even some I grew up with or knew year ago might hear this and think “But Rachael you've talked about some of these things before like you believed it” I know, and that was wrong of me and clearly as a follower of Christ, I should have never done those things. And yet the Lord had grace and forgiveness. If you want to learn more I encourage you to listen to podcasts and sermons, I'd love to share some from my own church if you'd like to listen. The scripture I shared today was Deuteronomy 18:4, Isaiah 8:19-22, Deuteronomy 4:19, and Acts 19: 13-16
Hello amazing people! In today's episode I answered my most asked questions since becoming a mom and sharing my life on socials again. From postpartum to fitness and even parenting. Don't forget to follow me on socials and feel free to make requests or ask questions for future episodes
I wanted to take an episode to really share what's been on my heart these past few months. How I am no longer going to let fear stop me from sharing my faith but also encouraging mothers in the thick of postpartum and even just tired moms. I'll share things I did for me that helped and things I hope to do next time to ease loneliness and those baby blues. At the end I share some scripture that was and is still so uplifting to me, I hope it is for you too
Leos birth story another reminder to me of my purpose. That my body had a purpose and God really made my body so perfectly and with purpose. Leo came so quickly 3 days after his due date. Listen in to hear how!
It's been a little over a year since the last episode and there are some BIG life updates! Now that I'm in a new season of life it's only fitting to make it a new season of the podcast. I'm so excited to share more about what's been going on and hopefully connect with so many more of you through it

Hello Amazing people, In todays episode we get our very first ever cancer survivor guest! She is a friend of mine and fellow lymphomie. About year ago to date Allie messaged me on Instagram confused, scared, and really not know what just happened to her or what was about to come. At about 38 week pregnant Allie was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, her oncologist told her it was the "good cancer" and she should have completely fine. But its more than that, she was supposed to be celebrating her new baby girl and not stressing over an ill timed and never foreseen cancer diagnosis. Today Allie shares the deep details about her diagnosis and the thoughts she felt during and after treatment. Processing what happened to her, jumping into a cancer patient and new mom role at once and then when its all over, creating a new normal, learning to live in the present, and always knowing she can lean on those who love her most. TW- I got very emotional in todays episode. Todays episode is so short but I read a little passage I wrote about my feelings on the phrase “it's just hair”. An absolutely infuriating and insensitive phrase almost all cancer patients hate to hear. Please listen with an open heart and an open mind
Hey Hey, Amazing people! TW: the following episode is not intended for those individuals struggling heavily with E D or recovering from it. We cover topics such as body image, diets, macro tracking, binging, and over exercise, although they are not in great detail, this episode may not be supporting to your journey! Today I discussed how I shifted my mindset from fitness to wellness, what exactly wellness means and how I was able to learn more and call out/spot the diet culture coverups all around me. Hello amazing people! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, lol I am 23 today and today's episode is kind of, moody lol. Yes, I know! Today's topic is a little heavy, but hey it's been on my heart and mind, and I wanted to share. Maybe you've been experiencing this very heavily lately and frankly so have I. I feel like around birthdays people tend to get very introspective and look at how they've changed in the years past and that looks so different for me personally. So, buckle up, today we're talking about grief (and a few rabbit trails of course, I can't just shut off my other thoughts lol). I hope you enjoy today's episode, please let me know if you use the journal prompts, I shared, leave a rate and review, please SUBSCRIBE!!! Hello amazing people! Thank you so much for coming back and listening to the Podcast! In today's episode I shared some new goals for the month, how I set them and why I chose to set them. I wanted to share to hopefully inspire you to set some small goals of your own but also help you see that a goal doesn't always or even HAS to be ever, a weight loss or body related goal. Your goals should be geared towards balancing your overall health and life, adding more joy, and adding more feelings of content in your body
Hi Amazing people!! Thank you so much for coming back to Life As You Thought You Knew it! Todays episode is heavy and real and raw, but I wanted to share peoples experiences. Not just my own which I do share a lot, but the real hand accounts from others about their experiences, changes, and effects they felt during, after, and right now from being diagnosed and having gone through treatment for cancer. These effects are of the mind, body, and emotional wellbeing. Today's episode is all about thankfulness- why it's a daily choice, why it's not as easy as we think, and what we can do on a daily basis to keep a thankful heart and mind. In a time when it's so easy to complain and choose unhappy thoughts, we have to choose on a daily to see what's worth being thankful for! Hello, Amazing People!!! I am absolutely pumped to finally be sharing this!! I am so so excited to have another, much more personal outlet to share my life, lessons, struggles, and honest truth about everything! This is not an ordinary "life is tough, but you're tougher podcast". Nah! We're gonna admit that life can suck, it can be hard, we will fall and cry and scream, but guess what, WE ALL HAVE THOSE DAYS!! We too often get caught up in thinking "It's just me going through this", that's just not the case. I will be sharing what I've learned in my short but jampacked years on this earth so far. Lessons about my confidence, insecurities, food + exercise, my past eating and body image disorder, toxic relationships, and even fighting cancer. We will be having some amazing, wise, and hilarious guests in the months and years to come. Here, we are family, friends, brothers, and sisters, nothing is off the table for discussion!! I want to create a space where it's like I'm in the car with you, chatting it up, having a conversation. We're going through this life altogether so why not share the highs and lows.
