Today it’s just me, sharing a few revelations I’ve had this summer around: The set ages we seemingly get stuck at. Emotions I’m connecting to for the first time in my life (and how certain codes of anger have helped me). How busyness impacts our physical patterns and the way we hold our bodies, or clench our weight. And practicing rejection and building our capacity to hear no, while simultaneously building our capacity to say no. (In this month’s solo episode, I also get into some life-altering experiences I’ve had with different healers, and the new list I compiled of my favorite healers.) For the show notes, links to all the resources I mention in the episode, and my new workbook Choosing Wholeness Over Goodness—head over to my Substack.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

After six weeks of serious inner work (including a spiritual cleanse and a solo wilderness retreat where I literally faced my fear of abandonment head-on), I'm sharing the three biggest things that helped me stop overthinking once and for all. If you're the kind of girly who spirals over a short text... rereads convos wondering what you did wrong... or catastrophizes when nothing is actually wrong... this episode is going to hit deep. Inside, we'll talk about: ✨ What it really means to listen to your body (and why it matters for your anxious brain) ✨ How productivity pressure secretly fuels relationship anxiety ✨ The difference between your gut and your fear brain ✨ And how I finally felt safe doing... nothing. Just being. Truly. PLUS: tomorrow (Wednesday!) is Implementation Day inside The Healing Girl Gang and this month's focus is on Overthinking. If you're ready for the how, this is where we get specific and walk through the process together.

What if the hardest thing you're walking through right now is actually where God is working the most - even when you can't see it? A few months ago everything was normal in our family. Linda's mom cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner, we all gathered around the table, and life felt predictable. But two weeks later everything changed forever when she got diagnosed with a tumor and went to heaven just four months after that. And here's what I discovered - while you're focused on what's not happening, you're missing what God is actually doing in the situation. Because I used to think grief was just sadness, but it's actually more like a circle that never shrinks - your life just grows bigger around it. So today I'm sharing five specific lessons that completely changed how I see God, community, prayer, and relationships. Because if you're walking through loss, struggling with finances, dealing with marriage issues, or facing any kind of difficulty, these insights could transform how you experience God's presence in the middle of it all. This is one of the most personal, emotional episodes we've ever recorded. And if you're grieving, or have someone in your life who is, I hope this encourages you like only God can. As I blew out the candles on 23, all I could think about was the whirlwind of lessons 22 brought me. From letting go of people I once thought were permanent, to learning how to live with my anxiety instead of running from it - this year cracked me open in ways I never saw coming. In this episode, I'm sharing 22 things 22 taught me, because somewhere along the way, I finally met myself ( and I learned my there/they're/theirs)

Find out how we managed to make our first event a huge success! We just wrapped up our first iteration of The Pink Skirt Project, and we crushed it. Incredible women showed up to collectively raise their vibration together and it was amazing to see. Now, I'm reflecting back on what I learned in the process of putting this event together. In this episode, I'm sharing the top 10 things I learned along the way—lessons that I hope inspire you to chase the dream that calls out to you. If you have a wild idea, I hope this reminds you that yours is worth pursuing. In this episode, you will learn about: Why we succeeded in creating a profitable first event (which isn't common at all). Why you should follow the ideas that call to you, even when it feels risky. The real reason people showed up to this event (even when things went wrong). How being in the right room changes energy and creates magic. The systems and people we had as part of our event-creating process. The type of sponsors to look for (and how to hold up your end too). How you can profit and still lead with purpose. Plus, I'll tell you about an unexpected birthday surprise that perfectly illustrates why the encouragement you put out comes back to you in ways you never expect.Whether you're building a business, writing a book, or chasing any dream, these insights will save you time and help you think differently about success. In this episode, host Blythe Milligan shares details on her recent behind-the-scenes tour of DHL's Export Facility and Innovation Center in Chicago. This episode truly highlights how one of the world's largest logistics companies is using automation to drive efficiency and scale. Key takeaways: DHL's export facility in Chicago can process up to 10,000 packages per hour with just 12 employees on the floor. Three Things I Learned from My Father: 1. Strength isn't always loud.My father taught me that true strength often shows up in quiet sacrifices, consistent presence, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. 2. Your word is your bond.He lived by integrity. If he gave his word, he kept it — whether it was a promise to family, a commitment at work, or a vow to himself. 3. Love is shown more than spoken. He may not have always said “I love you,” but you could see it in the way he worked hard, protected his family, showed up, and gave without keeping score.Always be there for your children Always advised me to stay out of trouble and live purposefully.Rest in peace, Pops (Ernest Mante Sr.), you did your best for your family.

I spoke on the root causes and impacts of data breaches at a cleverly titled session on “how to cause a data breach.” As it turns out, my host and I stumbled into one of the hot topics of the conference. Summary In this episode, Brian shares five key lessons from Las Vegas that every restaurant operator should hear. From faster drink service to private room optimization and upsell strategy, these practical insights are designed to boost revenue while enhancing the guest experience. Learn how to modernize your operations, empower your staff, and grow profitability—starting tonight. Key Takeaways Modernize the Reservation Process Use your reservation system to curate guest experiences, not just book tables. Ask the purpose of the visit—anniversary, business dinner, birthday—to personalize the service. Leverage confirmations via text or phone as additional engagement touchpoints. Prioritize the First Drink—Fast Speed matters: get the first drink in hand quickly, ideally before guests are seated. The faster the first drink, the more likely a second drink will be ordered—which increases revenue. Train staff to lead with beverage suggestions and make cocktail menus stand out. Train Staff to Curate & Upsell Teach servers to read the table and suggest appropriate apps, drinks, and entrees. Pre-sell appetizers for the table instead of waiting for guests to decide. Create incentives (e.g., spiffs) for staff to move high-margin items like premium wines or cocktails. Always Be Booking the Private Room Treat your private room like a key revenue generator, not a hidden option. Use it for business dinners, group celebrations, and high-spend guests—even if not requested. Simplify the booking process and avoid unnecessary friction like deposit hurdles or rigid policies. Create Concierge-Style Add-Ons Offer celebration packages: wine, flowers, dessert upgrades, or to-go items. Introduce pre-orderable take-home meals, cookies, or lunch for the next day. Use the reservation system to upsell enhancements before the guest even arrives. Pro Tips A thoughtful reservation experience can set the tone for a higher check average. Lead with a separate cocktail menu to shift attention and increase sales. Servers should be trained to place the order for the table when appropriate—it enhances the guest experience and simplifies decision-making. Use private dining space more often—don't let it sit idle. Think like Amazon: reduce friction in ordering and upselling. People want to be sold.

Hi beauties! It feels so good to be back from maternity leave. So much has changed since our last episode of 2024 – my daughter Jade has made her arrival and we're all adjusting to being a family of four. When I went on maternity leave, I chose to take a 6-week break from social media so I could really soak in this chapter in our family's life. I learned so much in my time away from social media, and I wanted to kick off the first episode of 2025 on the six biggest benefits I experienced from being offline. After a career spent on the internet, it was amazing to see what being offline did to my sense of creativity, my ability to engage with more long-form media, and my relationship to time.
