A breakthrough race is intoxicating. Running a big Personal Best is a clear sign that you're training well, thriving, and on the right track. But what happens next? What happens after you run a big PR and your season comes to an end? How do you keep the momentum going, while still respecting recovery and your need for down-time? This episode is a repost of a conversation on the Elevate Your Running podcast with coach Sara Manderscheid. We talk about: Recovery is a real phase of training. Learn how long to rest and why it's more than physical. Race analysis and reflection: Discover how to learn from your recent race, identifying both successes and areas for improvement. New Goals or No?: Explore diverse approaches to planning your next training cycle. Smart base rebuilding: Find effective strategies for a gradual and consistent return to training. Preventing burnout and staying motivated: Keep your passion for running strong, even during the off-season. In this solo episode, I take you through a reflection on perseverance, the importance of concrete end goals, and why many photographers (and entrepreneurs) give up too soon. From my own experience - both on the bike in France and in my business - I draw parallels between training, entrepreneurship and working toward sustainable growth.I'll tell you about a photographer who wanted to abandon his goal early, and why that's actually not a good idea. You'll hear how small adjustments along the way are crucial, without losing sight of the larger end goal.I will also give you an insight into my photography community CONNECT, with special master classes (including Jim Huylebroek and Irina Werning), and how they too - just like you and me - work towards their goals step by step. Get inspired to stick to your mission, to not start over and over again, but to really move forward with smart intermediate steps.Take-away: ask yourself better questions, don't give up too soon, and learn how to work consistently towards your goal - with room for experimentation along the way.

You'll also hear how to book a free discovery call if you're ready to talk more about what's next (all in the Show Notes).✨ This is your time now. Q1 didn't go as planned? You're not alone—and you're not behind. In this episode, we're treating Q2 like the fresh start it is. Whether your goals are about moving more, feeling stronger, managing stress, or simply staying consistent, now's the time to reset with intention. We'll break down: How to reflect on what worked (and what didn't) without the guilt Why aligning your goals with your values leads to lasting results How to simplify your goals into weekly wins that actually fit your life The underrated power of writing things down and taking small steps Why accountability (from your MVMT team, your calendar, or your crew) is key And the truth: motivation follows action—not the other way around
This episode is a Renew + Rewire brain prime—designed to help you reflect on the past 90 days, rewire your thoughts with truth, and reset your focus with clarity and peace. Grab your journal, light a candle, and let this guided reflection help you notice your growth, celebrate progress, and prepare your heart and mind for what's next. These three simple steps—Reflect, Rewire, and Reset—will help you walk into the next season with intention.

Adapting Goals and Overcoming Challenges in Ultra Training. Pivoting is not quitting. In this episode of Becoming Ultra Season 16, host Scott Jones and coaches Ian and Carrie discuss Carrie's decision to shift her training focus from a 50k race to a half marathon. Due to recurring injuries and the demands of scaling her business, Carrie reflects on the emotional and physical challenges she faced in making this decision. The conversation highlights the importance of adaptability and resilience in ultra-running, emphasizing how setbacks can lead to new opportunities and healthier habits. The team also discusses ongoing physical therapy and the mental adjustments required to stay motivated and find joy in the process. 00:00 Introduction and Updates 00:28 Carrie's Shift in Focus 01:31 Emotional Decision and Business Challenges 04:55 New Goals and Adjustments 06:24 Physical Therapy and Running Mechanics 08:34 Adapting to Changes 10:46 Reflections and Moving Forward 19:06 Conclusion and Future Plans
In this episode, Meg and Maggi explore the complexities of navigating uncharted territories in life. Working towards new goals can be very challenging, especially when the pressures of societal expectations come into play. They discuss their experiences with social media, the importance of community, and the journey of self-discovery. The conversation emphasizes the significance of practicing self-compassion and the value of seeking support while working towards new goals in new seasons of life. They conclude with an inspiring message about embracing imperfection and the importance of being present in the moment.Takeaways: Finding balance in choices is crucial for well-being. Self-compassion is a practice that requires effort. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Social media can foster community and connection. Vulnerability is essential for authentic conversations. Trusting ourselves is a journey filled with challenges. Expectations can create unnecessary pressure. It's okay to change your mind about your goals. Embracing imperfection leads to personal growth. It's easy to believe that some things are meant for others—those who appear more qualified, more prepared, or more deserving. But the reality is, no one is more deserving of growth, joy, and success than anyone else. The doors that seem closed may not be locked; they may only require the courage to push them open. There are gifts within each of us that are meant to be shared. Talents that were never meant to be hidden. The world is filled with places where those abilities belong, waiting to be used in ways that haven't even been imagined yet. The only thing standing in the way is the belief that they don't. Stepping into more isn't just about achieving a goal or reaching a new milestone. It's about shifting perspective—seeing possibility where there once was hesitation, recognizing that every challenge is also an invitation to rise. Growth isn't just for the people who seem ready; it's for anyone willing to take the first step. The path forward doesn't require perfection—just a willingness to believe that more is meant for us. And when that belief takes root, everything begins to change. In this episode, I share my unforgettable first-time experience at the Super Bowl—an event that's so much more than just a game. From witnessing history to discovering unexpected career opportunities, this trip opened my eyes to the power of stepping into new spaces. Brutal truth: most businesses can't sell up and can't market down. Many struggle to position themselves in a way that earns the attention of high-value buyers while simultaneously failing to resonate with the people who actually influence buying decisions. We made it yall! We have made it to the end of the year, and I'm happy to say we made it whole. Many of us started this year with the expectation of greatness. Ambition to take on the world. Start that new business, write that new book, launch that new product, travel to a new country, and just live a life after loss that was unimaginable. Then our world was paused in March as COVID-19 shut down the world, travel, and many businesses especially small businesses. Many of our family and friends have been diagnosed with COVID-19, recovered, or even worse have gone to be angels in heaven. 2020 has been the year of the Unexpected! In this solo episode I talk about the year in review, my personal and professional goals, and my 2021 word of the year. If there's one true thing in life and business is that nothing ever stays the same; companies and businesses are always evolving. On today's Success Stories podcast, we'll talk with Cole Lundstrom about the evolution of a career and business. He's the only guest on this podcast I've invited back for a second interview, and the reason is simple, the lessons he most recently learned with his former company, Shirt Agency, has pushed him into a new direction with a new idea called merch troop. This episode is critical to hear, because I think it's okay to stop doing one thing and start doing another. Cole will share his thoughts, and we'll get into some ideas about the industry's future that you probably need to hear.
A yap about the new year and anchoring goals in something deeper than grit and motivation -- when we can confront the impulses, insecurities, fears that drive our bad habits and poor choices, true change is able to actually happen. Behaviors do not drive mindsets, mindsets drive behaviors. What's your million?A million anything can be impressive—or insignificant—depending on the context.A million breaths keep us alive for a little over a month.A million stars is barely a fraction of our galaxy.Elon Musk's net worth is $400 billion which is 400 thousand millions.A million can mean everything or nothing, depending on how you look at it.For me, surpassing one million downloads felt impossible—until it wasn't.In this episode, I dive into what chasing your million really means:• The parallel between success and sacrifice: are we willing to endure what it takes to achieve the big goals we dream about?• Why consistency matters more than perfection—starting and showing up creates more opportunities for success than stopping or never starting at all.• How what feels small today can snowball into something vast if you just keep going. The truth is, whatever your million represents—whether it's a business, a dream, or a vision—it's going to demand something from you. Success always runs parallel with suffering, discomfort, and hard choices. The question is: are you willing to do the work and make the sacrifices to get there?A million downloads didn't happen because I planned it perfectly—it happened because I started. I kept going. I stayed in motion. If you're chasing your own version of a million, remember this: starting matters. Staying consistent matters. It puts you in the game and gives you a shot at something bigger than you ever thought possible. What's your million? And are you willing to chase it?Press play.
