In Becca's first solo episode, she dives into Mark Twitchell, an aspiring filmmaker and serial killer. Fortunately for the public, he was caught after his first murder. Unfortunately for Star Wars fanatics, his full-length prequel film will never be released. This case was an easy solve for investigators. Despite his love of fictional serial killer Dexter Morgan, Twitchell didn't follow Dex's #1 rule: don't get caught. Instead, he preemptively filmed a movie about his murder plans, then wrote a 42 page diary about the whole thing. In our long-awaited continuation of the Jodi Arias case, Amber covers Jodi's time in court. And if you thought the defendant was bananas, wait until you hear about the legal teams and expert witnesses involved in the trials. Psychologists go back and forth on whether Jodi is suffering from trauma or BDP, the juries keep agreeing that Jodi is eligible for the death penalty but can't decide if she deserves it, and Jodi herself spends the years weighing her desire for attention against the possibility that one wrong move could send her to death row. Jodi also designs a T Shirt, Becca gives an armchair diagnosis, and we reveal the details of those “special hugs” your youth pastor warned you about.  Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @miwpodcast, and find us on Facebook @Malice In Wonderland Podcast. Jodi Arias was the ex girlfriend (with benefits) from hell. Casual sex with your ex is all fun and games until they break into your home and murder you three times over. Travis Alexander sadly learned this too late. In part one, we cover the discovery of Travis’ body, the autopsy and crime scene findings, and Jodi’s multiple alibis. We don’t manage to settle the great Jodi Arias: Hot or Not debate, but we can agree she would not be, as Jodi herself would put it, “a potential possible maybe person that you might start dating.”To get updates on the show, follow us on Instagram @miwpodcast or Facebook @Malice In Wonderland Podcast. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare: drug-laced Halloween candy. When young Tim O’Bryan ate a poisoned treat, the community of Pasadena thought they were looking for a monster. Tim’s dad told horror stories of a strange hand in a darkened doorway that gave him the deadly candy. But police soon discovered that the perpetrator was much more insidious than anything in any slasher film. When The Man who Killed Halloween was finally made to pay for his crimes, locals celebrated in the street, yelling “trick or treat” and pelting any Candyman sympathizers with leftover Halloween sweets. His antics still have parents double checking their kids’ holiday hauls and opting for controlled trick or treating events with trusted friends, but the Candyman’s legacy is much more ominous than the story of what actually happened in a small Texas town in 1974.Don't forget that Malice by Tranquil Finds by Lakin disappears on Halloween night! In her longest episode yet, Amber covers four of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s famous paranormal investigations that have inspired some of today’s most popular horror movies. The Warrens are arguably history’s most famous paranormal duo. This power couple led thousands of investigations and have become a household name. You’ve probably seen films like The Conjuring and The Haunting in Connecticut, but do you know the stories of the real families that lived through the events? How true is the story of The Amityville Haunting? Should you be concerned if your Raggedy Ann doll is bleeding? Can Becca actually count past 1,000? Anyone who knew Anneliese Michel could tell you how strong her faith was. Born into a Catholic family that boasted several “numbs,” as Amber mistakenly calls them, she attended Mass twice a week and sought ways to atone for the sins of others. But even the most devout are susceptible to possession. It’s believed that six demons, including Lucifer himself, took up residence in Anneliese. Over the course of nine months, Anneliese underwent 67 exorcisms before she eventually died from dehydration and malnutrition. Was she actually possessed? Or was there a physiological reason Anneliese started eating bugs, barking like a dog, and emitting a scent that was described as “hellishly bad?” We don’t have the answer to that, but in this episode, Amber will give you all the information you need to draw your own conclusion.  The Malice in Wonderland-inspired candle and wax melt are out! Then, after several decades and eBay auctions, the box wound up in Las Vegas, where it recently cursed Post Malone. Some doubt the truth of the box’s lore. Issei Sagawa did unspeakable things to someone who considered him a friend, and then made money off of his crimes. You might be asking how this is legal. The answer? Becca may rethink her family’s tradition of eating ribs on Thanksgiving after this case. Omaima Nelson and her new husband, Bill, should have been basking in newlywed bliss, cooking and eating their first holiday meal together. Unfortunately, Bill ended up on the table with the cranberry sauce and stuffing. Omaima claims she killed in self defense and only cooked Bill to hide evidence, but she also said his ribs were comparable to those she’d had at Texas barbecue joints, which doesn’t seem like the kind of thing someone who didn’t cannibalize their husband would say. If you want to hear more episodes like this, check your favorite podcast platforms every Monday.
