Hug your faces— I mean, hug your children. Some freaky fast and wacky weird xenomorphs are loose on the ship of Jay of the Dead's New Horror Movies! Here we are with our second installment (covering the third episode) of ALIEN: EARTH (2025). During this episode, four of the Horror Avengers return to dissect and debate Episode 003: Metamorphosis of the Alien: Earth series, and it's a wild ride full of major plot spoilers, so listener beware! Jay of the Dead is joined by Dr. Walking Dead, GregaMortis, and Mackula for an in-depth review of this pivotal installment. The crew dives headfirst into the latest developments, speculating whether the children's consciousness has truly been transferred into the synth bodies or if it's merely a downloaded replica. Tensions spark as Dr. Bishop confesses to growing a bit bored with the franchise's signature xenomorphs and their familiar egg tropes, while Mackula voices his frustration over this episode feeling more like a narrative “bridge” than a satisfying chapter. Jay of the Dead takes some heat for mixing up basic human anatomy, confusing lungs with livers and blurring the line between alien zygotes and fetuses, prompting a few laughs and a much-needed biology lesson. Meanwhile, GregaMortis remains fully invested and enthusiastic about the series' direction. And of course, Jay can't help but continue his disdain for the design of the alien octopus-eyeball monster, comparing it (not favorably) to something ripped straight from “Rick and Morty.” (You know it's true.) Also, out of nowhere, Dr. Bishop admits to “rewinding” streaming content… So, if you're keeping up with Alien: Earth, this episode delivers fiery opinions, sharp analysis, and plenty of horror geekery to chew on. Watch along with us and listen to our analysis or else Mackula will hug your faces! Note: This episode was recorded on Friday night, August 22, 2025. We have a special episode for you this week discussing the latest entry in the filmography of Scott Derrickson: THE GORGE. Starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller, The Gorge tells the story of an unexpected bond that forms between two soldiers who are each posted on opposite ends of a wide, cavernous opening that holds untold horrors in its depths. The film garnered mixed reviews -- even among our panel, which includes Gory Gamer Matt Murray, friend of the show Nicole Amato, and new guest, Will Frank -- but led to a vibrant, thoughtful, and often very funny conversation. This conversation also features a look back at this year's GenCon, which featured some exciting new and upcoming board games, as well as a new kickstarter for Camp Grizzly, a refreshed edition of a once rare and highly valued survival horror game. All this and more this week for a lively discussion that we really hope you enjoy.7:45 - Two Questions with Will Frank of Trick or Treat Studios (including their latest kickstarter campaign, CAMP GRIZZLY)35:08 - Whatcha (GenCon Edition)57:09 - THE GORGESee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This film takes place primarily on the set of a late-night talk show and chronicles what happened on a special Halloween episode. In this episode of ClassHorrorCast, we're heading back to the mid-2000s to revisit one of the era's most underappreciated thrillers — Cry Wolf (2005).A clever blend of teen slasher energy and psychological mind games, this film takes the classic “killer on campus” setup and twists it into something far more unpredictable. We break down the characters and performances that bring the game of lies to life, from the charming yet mysterious leads to the side players who keep you guessing. We'll dig into the film's layered storyline, full of red herrings, clever setups, and tension-filled moments that keep you hooked right up until the shocking finale — an ending you absolutely will NOT see coming. From its sharp writing to its genre-bending approach, Cry Wolf proves that some horror-thrillers are worth a second look.Whether you're a longtime fan or have never heard of it, this episode will make you want to revisit the game… just be careful who you trust. If you enjoyed this - Check out my other content here - https://linktr.ee/FirstClassHorrorBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/class-horror-cast--4295531/support.

For this double-header, Dr. Bishop is discussing two, COVID-inspired zombie films: Corona Zombies (2020) and Zombie Reddy (2021)! And unfortunately, though these two movies are relevant to the topic, they are not the best movies. But Kyle also takes a moment to recommend the Woody Allen directorial debut Comedy, “What's Up, Tiger Lily?” (1966), and he explains what it has in common with “Corona Zombies” (2020) and “Hell of the Living Dead” (1983). As impossible as it is to believe, this week's episode marks our 9th Anniversary here at The Fear of God Podcast. For nearly every week, for nearly a decade now, we've been trying to bring you the most thoughtfully-infused and absurdity-laced horror commentary anywhere. This week is no different. To commemorate this occasion, we're bringing along longstanding friend of the show Vera Goudie to discuss Tim Burton's film SLEEPY HOLLOW, an adaptation of the iconic American short story by Washington Irving. Through the conversation, we dive into both the original text and Burton's film, as well as some unexpected but welcome references to the Walt Disney adaptation of the story. And although we're not quite sure Burton's film holds up the way we'd have hoped it would, this conversation is bursting with laughter and joy as we discuss it.We have an utter blast on this episode, which also features a Patron-only segment of specially tailored games for our anniversary. Thank you to all of you who have listened to us all these years (and hopefully for many more to come) and we hope you enjoy this week's special episode!1:10 - Introductions and Bits of BusinessPatron Only Segment: Fear of God Anniversary Games12:22 - SLEEPY HOLLOWSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
