3 ocean horror stories that prove the scariest thing about the sea isn't what we know is down there, it's what we don't. A depth sounder that picks up something rising in water three miles deep. A life raft rescue that turns into three days of quiet terror. And a diver who meets something at a sealed hatch, a hundred and ninety feet down, that knows his voice.Linktree: https://linktr.ee/its_just_creepyStory Credits:►Sent in to https://www.justcreepy.net/Timestamps:00:00 Intro00:01:16 Story 100:11:50 Story 200:40:49 Story 3Music by:►'Decoherence' by Scott Buckley - released under CC-BY 4.0. www.scottbuckley.com.auBusiness inquiries:►creepydc13@gmail.com#scarystories #horrorstories #ocean

Have you ever heard of Sabatini's, in Exeter, PA? Sabatini's might be the best relatively unknown beer bar in the East. An unassuming pizzeria with a bar and bottleshop annex across the parking lot offers a ridiculously great tap selection, and around 3,000 different bottles of beer: import, domestic, craft, macro, micro, nano. It's a third generation family business, and I interviewed Lindo Sabatini. But it's not just the beer! Sabatini's has renowned pizza, an "upside-down" pizza with the cheese on the bottom and the sauce on top, pushed right out to the edge of the pie, and diced pepperoni, and a thin, crisp crust. We'll talk about that too, and how Lindo learned to blend different ages of mozzarella, all from the same Wisconsin dairy they've been using for over 30 years, to get the perfect flavor and melt. Then I went to another pizzeria, Nello's, and Michael Mootz Candies, (which, correction, is in Hanover Township, not Nanticoke) and Tarnowski's Kielbasa, just because I was there, and why not! All three were great; I love small businesses. What I'm Drinking Today is Conshohocken Brewing's Nightbier Cometh, a delicious schwarzbier, made even better when I had it with some of those Mootz's chocolates. Next episode will be an interview with two brewers who got together to make a uniquely Pennsylvania style of beer that is often talked about, but rarely made. See you in two weeks! Until then? After Colonel Brandon departs, Elinor has the unenviable task of telling Edward of his offer. She decides a letter is best, but before she can sit down to write, Edward himself arrives at her door. Despite the awkwardness of the situation, his gratitude toward Colonel Brandon, and toward Elinor, is sincere, and they part on good terms. All that's left is to clear up Mrs. Jennings's conjectures and misunderstandings of the whole situation, which brings some levity to the otherwise heavy afternoon. As Elinor's story progresses, let it help you on your way into another night of soft and restful sleep.-----Welcome to the Jane Austen Bedtime Stories podcast! Tonight's video features two terrifying driving at night horror stories about lonely highways, no cell service, and the things that wait in the dark. Frank Churchill is back in Highbury, and it's just in time for the dinner party at the Coles'. The party is abuzz with the news that Jane Fairfax received a surprise gift: a pianoforte, delivered to the Bates's home. Everyone is convinced that it's a gift from the Campbells, but Emma isn't so sure. She thinks the gift could be a sign of affection from Mr. Dixon, and Frank Churchill seems to agree with her. But that's not the only thing on Emma's mind. Her flirty banter with Frank is interrupted by Mrs. Weston's suggestion that none other than Mr. Knightley might be in love with Jane Fairfax -- could it be so? It's an eventful evening, and perfect for an extra-long Friday Favorites, as our return to Highbury society takes you away from your day and into a night of warm and gentle sleep. -----Welcome to the Jane Austen Bedtime Stories podcast! Two terrifying stories from the Canadian wilderness, where isolation turns small details into warnings, and by the time danger reveals itself, it may already know your name.In the first story, two hikers in the Yukon notice a muddy green pickup truck near Tombstone Territorial Park. When the truck keeps appearing, and a man with a clipboard starts asking questions he should not know, their backcountry trip becomes a desperate fight to make it back to the road.In the second story, a man takes a remote fire tower job deep in the Canadian bush. His only connection to the outside world is a radio — until something in the woods starts circling his cabin and speaking in voices it should not be able to copy. Two stories. One wilderness. And one terrifying lesson: in places this remote, danger does not always look like danger at first.Subscribe for more wilderness horror stories, creepy encounters, and strange stories from places where help is far away.Linktree: https://linktr.ee/its_just_creepyStory Credits:►Sent in to https://www.justcreepy.net/Timestamps:00:00 Intro00:01:40 Story 101:04:37 Story 2Music by:►'Decoherence' by Scott Buckley - released under CC-BY 4.0. www.scottbuckley.com.au►'Shadows and Dust' by Scott Buckley - released under CC-BY 4.0. www.scottbuckley.com.auBusiness inquiries:►creepydc13@gmail.com#scarystories #horrorstories #CanadianWilderness
The time crunch has arrived. I've been warning you that I may need to take a break to fit everything in; it's a jam-packed summer for me. I'm trying to get a new whiskey book done on a very short deadline, and my son Tom is getting married at the end of August, and we've got a wedding shower in Philly this weekend. It's here, that moment when it's all finally too much...but only by a bit. So I'm going to delay the next episode a week. I have all the material, I only need to edit the interview and write the script. Next Thursday, the 16th, you'll get a full episode, and we'll be back on the every-other-week schedule. As an apology, here's What I'm Drinking Today. In recognition of the Team USA loss to Belgium in the World Cup round of 16, I popped a fresh, foamy bottle of Duvel, because it's always wonderful. Remember, then: Next episode will be on July 16th, and yes, it's still about the greatest Pennsylvania beer bar you've (probably) never heard of. And pizza. And kielbasa. And that should be a clue. Guesses? Anyone got guesses? See you in ONE week! Until then? YOU CAN STILL TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THE PODCAST! Tonight's video features two terrifying skinwalker horror stories from deep in the wilderness, where isolation, darkness, and something pretending to be human turn ordinary trips into nightmares. In the first story, an old cattleman working alone near the Gila Wilderness begins finding his herd mutilated and hears familiar voices calling from outside his cabin at night. In the second, a group of friends canoeing through the Boundary Waters realizes something on the lake can copy their voices, follow their route, and wear faces it should not have. These are stories about remote places, wrong sounds in the dark, and the terrible moment when you realize the thing calling your name is not the person you think it is.The Thing That Knows Your Voice | Skinwalker Horror StoriesLinktree: https://linktr.ee/its_just_creepyStory Credits:►Sent in to https://www.justcreepy.net/Timestamps:00:00 Intro00:00:18 Story 100:46:33 Story 2Music by:►'Decoherence' by Scott Buckley - released under CC-BY 4.0. www.scottbuckley.com.au'Shadows and Dust' by Scott Buckley - released under CC-BY 4.0. www.scottbuckley.com.auBusiness inquiries:►creepydc13@gmail.com#scarystories #horrorstories #skinwalker

After just a few days in Highbury, Frank Churchill jets off to London for a day, merely to have his hair cut. To Emma, that conveys a bit of foppery, but all young people have their little whims, after all. At least Frank's absence gives her time to consult with the Westons about whether to accept an invitation to dinner at the Coles. The Coles made their fortune through trade, so it would be most appropriate for Emma to refuse their invitation ... but it is so thoughtfully given, and all her dearest friends will be there. The Westons advise her to attend, and it's just the advice Emma is hoping to hear. This week's Friday Favorites brings you deeper into the complex social dynamics of Highbury, and it's just the thing to help you end your week with a night of restful sleep.-----Welcome to the Jane Austen Bedtime Stories podcast! In this episode of The Men's Collective Podcast, Travis Goodman sits down with Quentin Decamp to explore what it really means for a man to become secure. This conversation goes deep into attachment, masculinity, codependency, the nice guy pattern, womanizing, self-betrayal, emotional validation, and how men can begin to move from approval-seeking into values-led living.Quentin shares parts of his own story, including how he moved from being the “good boy,” the nice guy, and the womanizer into deeper self-awareness, secure attachment, and a more grounded masculine identity. We talk about how men often confuse performance with confidence, avoidance with freedom, and emotional suppression with strength. We also explore how early family dynamics, enmeshment, neglect, and unresolved emotional wounds can shape the way men relate to women, intimacy, fatherhood, and themselves. Quentin describes how men can begin to identify the false self, break old patterns, and stop trying to earn love through performance, pleasing, chasing, or proving. In this episode, we cover: Why men perform masculinity instead of feeling secure The attachment wound behind the nice guy pattern How codependency shows up in men Why womanizing can be a form of avoidance The difference between worth and value Why men chase validation in relationships How self-betrayal keeps men stuck What secure masculinity can look like How men can become more emotionally grounded without oversharing or collapsing Why men need other men, mentors, and community How values help men stop living from approvalThis episode is for men who want to stop repeating old relationship patterns, build healthier intimacy, become more secure, and live with more integrity in their relationships, family, and inner life.

Remember how I said it was mostly about food and drink? This episode is about the amazing outdoor recreation opportunities in central Pennsylvania. I talked to a guy who's arguably one of the foremost experts on the topic, who's also done a lot of work on outdoor recreation in the American West, and in New England. And he says that Pennsylvania's wilds and outdoor recreation opportunities are second to none! You asked for it! You wanted it! Hell, so did I! Here's an interview with Mike Hermann, the founder and lead cartographer at Purple Lizard Maps. Their recreational maps are waterproof, up to date, chockful of information, and a joy to look at. Mike is a great interview; it went a bit long but it's all good stuff. What I'm Drinking Today is Brewery Techne's Perkuno's Hammer, a beer I actually helped formulate, almost 30 years ago. It's still being made, same guy, but the third brewery where it's been made. It's still pretty great, too. Next episode steps a bit outside the usual STAG geography, and will be about the greatest Pennsylvania beer bar you've (probably) never heard of. And a whole lot of pizza. And that should be a clue, right there. Guesses? Anyone got guesses? See you in two weeks! Until then? TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THE PODCAST! Why can so many successful men stay calm, focused, and capable at work, but become reactive, shut down, or emotionally disconnected at home?In this episode of The Men's Collective Podcast, Travis Goodman sits down with Jessica Gold to explore why high-performing men often feel confident professionally but lost relationally.Jessica shares how men can become highly skilled at solving problems, performing under pressure, and staying productive, while still struggling with emotional availability, nervous system regulation, intimacy, and communication in marriage or long-term relationships. This conversation looks at why problem-solving often does not work when your partner wants to feel heard, why emotional closeness can trigger stress or defensiveness, and how performance-based identity can keep men stuck in doing mode instead of presence. We also explore Jessica's “relationship chemistry” framework, including inner chemistry, relational chemistry, nervous system awareness, window of tolerance, emotional attunement, and the importance of learning relationships as a real skill. In this episode, we cover:Why men can perform well at work but shut down at homeWhy problem-solving can make your partner feel unseenHow nervous system activation impacts marriage and relationshipsWhy men often feel pressure to always know the answerThe role of shame, fear, and performance-based identityHow to move from fixing to presenceWhy emotional awareness is a skill men can learnHow men's groups can help reduce shame and build connectionHow systems thinking and relationship chemistry can help couples changeThis episode is for men who look successful on the outside but feel disconnected from themselves, their partner, or the people closest to them.

It's another quiet day in London, until Mrs. Jennings returns home with big news. Over at the Dashwoods, Miss Steele just revealed that her sister Lucy has been secretly engaged to Edward Ferrars! Elinor is relieved that the news is finally in the open, while Marianne is utterly shocked that her sister has been holding this emotional burden all by herself for four months. When their brother John visits the next day, they learn that the fallout for Edward has been severe -- his own mother has disinherited him. Elinor feels for Edward, holding his ground and losing everything for a woman who can give him nothing. It's a sad and shocking development, but while Edward and Lucy may be facing upheaval, their story will bring you peace, as it lulls you into a night of warm and relaxing sleep.-----Welcome to the Jane Austen Bedtime Stories podcast!
