It's National Infertility Week! In reverence of this special week and for all the people out there affected by this devastating diagnosis I want to introduce Misee Heiken on the No Bad Days Show. On the show we will hear Misee's story and how she is helping other women through their own struggles with infertility. Misee in her own words “It’s a special week for me with it being national infertility week. It was March 2017 when we got the diagnosis of unexplained infertility. I sat in the doctors office holding my husbands hand and felt completely lost. Doctors offices already have that scary and unfamiliar feel when you’re there trying to figure out the unknown. We went there thinking we would get answers to why we could not carry a baby full-term. Hearing the doctor explain our options this was all too much and all I could do was cry. We had already lost two babies to miscarriage and little did I know that one more miscarriage was on its way. The worst part for me in the whole experience was not feeling like I had anyone to talk to that could relate in some level to what I was going through. There was no support groups in my town and I didn’t know anybody going through infertility. It was through this whole experience that I understand who I could be for someone going through my shoes. Helping to support other women specifically and to listen to their fears and concerns has been the biggest blessing. In the beginning I used to think I wasn’t doing much but after talking to so many women about their struggles I realize we all need this. Someone to just listen. Someone to just hear us when we are at our most vulnerable. Someone who on some level can relate to what we have to say because we all have something that we have to say and that we need someone to hear.”

Though I was able to escape that horrific situation, the trauma from it lead me into a dark self destructive lifestyle. Even after I met the Lord and was given a second chance at life I lived with shame and guilt from the choices "I" had made. It wasn't until over 10 years into my walk with God that i learned I was actually a victim of child sex trafficking. For many years I told myself that it was my fault I tore my family apart and ruined my little sisters life. Those lies kept me from growing and experiencing true freedom..."

No Bad Days Show 10 with Kelsy McHenry: In her words "Motherhood is not something that comes with a guidebook and learning to navigate being a mom WHILE STILL BEING TRUE TO WHO YOU ARE (as a person, not a mom) is a difficult path for many women. Moms are exhausted, un-showered, underpaid, sometimes not validated - many lose their voice and their enthusiasm along the way. Our mission at BLOOM mom tribe is to reach as many mamas we possibly can to remind them that they matter, their dreams matter and so do their stories, successes and struggles."

Having compassion on our friends and family is important and Kellee does a great job of telling us both sides of her story and when she failed to be compassionate to family members with drug addiction earlier on in her life. Now having gone through it herself she is an advocate for spreading the message that this isn't a moral failing & really not a choice for people. She also has a strong caution for parents who need to wake up to the reality that the street drugs of today are nothing like they were even 6 years ago.
