The first followers responded to the crucifixion as if the end of Jesus' life was the end of His work. The crowds cheered Jesus on Palm Sunday. Yet, just days later, the crowds cried for His crucifixion at the urging of that day's influencers. Build your faith on a commitment to follow Christ that will not collapse under the pressure of cultural convenience.

The homes in our neighborhoods and the people who live in them have a reputation. There are good neighboring reputations like friendliness, helpfulness and hospitality. Some can get a reputation for being difficult neighbors. As followers of Christ, strive to be the home in your neighborhood that is known for loving your neighbor by the way you live out your faith.
Jesus said the second greatest commandment is to “love your neighbor as yourself.” While neighbor means more than the people next door, it certainly includes the people next door. Knowing our neighbors is a catalyst for loving our neighbors - and ultimately opens a door to share the message of hope in Christ.
