Silicon Valley veteran and early employee at Google, Facebook, and Quip, Molly Graham, joins CJ to discuss all things related to scaling startups, growing as a leader, and progressing in your career. Molly talks about her famous “Give Away Your Legos” talk and how this came about before she and CJ discuss the concept of “work grief” and how to get through it when you have to give up something that your identity is tied to. Having had a very non-linear career path and “stumbling sideways into things”, Molly explains the J-Curve versus staircase analogy for career progression and encourages especially those in finance roles to take big risks. From handling the grief of laying someone off to learning the skill of saying no, mastering the art of destruction as an important part of building a company, and knowing how to fire people not just hire them, Molly shares profound insights from her impressive career. If you're looking for an ERP head to NetSuite: https://netsuite.com/metrics and get a customized KPI checklist.—SPONSORS:Maxio is the only billing and financial operations platform that was purpose built for B2B SaaS. Sales Professionals, Welcome to another episode of Failing my way, in public, to success, the Mark Sclaire podcast, you could have been anywhere else but you're here with me and I appreciate that, so lets get started . On the show today I ask with a question, What is the most important part of the sales process? When I ask this question in my live events most people will say, the closing of the sale, Some will say, negotiation, qualification, demo/presentation, I don't want you just to read this and not watch the video, its one thing to read but I go into further detail about the importance of this part of the sales process, I share stories about sales people contacting me and not checking my history with the company, Sales people demo'ing / presenting and making mistakes that cost them deals, No qualification being done at the start so you're wasting time on deals that should never have started .In this podcast I document my journey, its easy to highlight the great parts but people can really like from the mistakes we make and those are what I try to share.Thank you for joining me on this journey Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/marksclairetraining/ LinkedIn: MarkSclaire https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-sclaire-97202045/ Website: www.marksclaire.com Email: mark@marksclaire.com Phone: +971566556093 ======================= Please support this channel by giving me a like, subscribing or leaving a comment.Ep 97 What is the most important part of the sales process?

But during a tummy tuck using the BellaButton technique, Dr. Salazar creates a beautiful, natural-looking belly button. As the pioneer of this technique, Dr. Salazar explains the key differences between the original techniques used to create a belly button during a tummy tuck, and the advanced approach of the BellaButton.See the difference between Dr. Salazar's BellaButton results and standard tummy tuck belly button on our blog  Meet San Diego plastic surgeon Dr. Hector Salazar-Reyes La Jolla Cosmetic is located just off the I-5 San Diego Freeway at 9850 Genesee Ave, Suite 130 in the Ximed building on the Scripps Memorial Hospital campus. To learn more, go to https://www.ljcsc.com/ or follow the team on Instagram The La Jolla Cosmetic Podcast is a production of The Axis: http://www.theaxis.io/

Upon moving to the USA, she was soon accepted to The Juilliard School's Drama Division.  Immediately upon graduation, she was selected to play Mozart's wife in Amadeus on Broadway, followed by roles on television, stage and film in both Europe and the US. After a successful 10-year career, and the birth of two children, Tanya changed paths entirely and joined the corporate world with leading roles at LVMH, Sephora, L'Oréal, Barnes & Noble, Clarins and Nestle Skin Health. From being a Cultural Director to running Public Relations and Corporate Philanthropy departments for luxury brands, Tanya was fortunate to work with Beyoncé Lady Gaga, Naomi Watts, Eva Mendez, John Legend, and many more. As a global communications and brand strategist, she conceived, directed and produced major initiatives, events and philanthropic programs.  Never letting go of her acting chops, she kept actively using the skills to coach leaders on public speaking and presentations…. until the wedding universe became her calling. Tanya had been helping friends and family with their vows and toasts for years. Her own second wedding prompted her to become a professional wedding "vow whisperer." She made the bold decision to leave the corporate world and make her way essentially creating a new category in the wedding business. Tanya's business, The Vow Whisperer, is a service whereby Tanya helps couples write their vows, but in their own words.  She is not the writer, but brings out everything from anecdotes, memories, obstacles, incredible moments, intentions for the future and much more and collaboratively will craft the vows using the person's own words. Additionally, Tanya coaches on public speaking which includes enunciation, voice projection, making eye contact while reading off a vow book, poise, confidence and all the tips and tricks to make it a perfect presentation of the most intimate part of a ceremony. Tanya officiates, and offers ceremony planning, as well and coaches family members and friends who want to officiate.  She also works with bridal parties on speeches and toasts. Tanya is based in New York City with her husband, has two children and works globally in several languages.  She is currently on the board of the New York Chapter of WIPA. Tim & Tim talk about negotiation, why it's an important part of the financial plan, the goals of negotiation, and tips for conducting an effective negotiation. Summary Tim Baker joins Tim Ulbrich on this episode to dig into all things negotiation. Negotiation is the process of discovery and a way to advocate for yourself and what your needs are. Tim Baker explains that negotiation is an important part of your financial plan for many reasons. He explains that settling for a lower salary can have a significant impact on your present and future finances because you may accrue less in retirement savings and potentially other investments. However, negotiation doesn't just lie in your salary. You can also negotiate benefits like flex scheduling, paid time off as well as potentially parental leave and professional development opportunities, among others.  Tim Baker shares that 99% of hiring managers are expecting new hires to negotiate and build their initial offer as such. Many don't end up negotiating because they don't want to risk the offer being revoked, but Tim says that the majority of the time you should present a counter offer.  Tim then digs into the stages of the negotiation process that include the interview, receiving an offer, presenting a counter offer and accepting the offer and position. He shares many strategies and tips for each stage as well as additional techniques to use throughout the process. About Today's Guest Tim Baker is the Co-Founder and Director of Financial Planning at Your Financial Pharmacist. Founded in 2015, YFP is a fee-only financial planning firm and connects with the YFP community of 12,000+ pharmacy professionals via the Your Financial Pharmacist Podcast podcast, blog, website resources and speaking engagements.  Tim attended the United States Military Academy majoring in International Relations and branching Armor. After his military career, he worked as a logistician with a major retailer and a construction company. After much deliberation, Tim decided to make a pivot in his career and joined a small independent financial planning firm in 2012. In 2016, he launched his own financial planning firm Script Financial and in 2019 merged with Your Financial Pharmacist. Tim now lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife (Shay), two kids (Olivia and Liam), and dog (Benji).
