Flow of Podcast Camera Body Differences Camera Internal/Software Final Thoughts & Winner Camera Body Differences Weather Sealing (one device is made of robust Magnesium Alloy that is protected against Dust & Moisture) The other device is made of mostly plastic and Lacks weather sealing The LCD monitor on one of the cameras has 100 percent field coverage with an OLED, The other machine has more limited screen articulation as you can see A huge difference is one of the machines has a mic input & the other device does not have a microphone input The machine can remotely control another compatible flash with its built-in flash. Lastly, I will go more in depth later about this, but there is a massive price difference between the two devices the G85 is about 900 for the body and 1k for the kit lenses The GX85 is 700 for the body & 800 for the kit lens (I personally found this camera for 500 on amazon) Camera Internal/Software Both devices have Dual IS which is a huge bonus The G85 has Cine-Like V and Cine-Like D profiles out of the box (Which is so fun to edit with in post) The GX85 doesn't have that (Although you can get it with a hack) Both Cameras shoot 4k --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/techduo/message

This video is a little different from the videos I typically do on this channel, I am a huge fan of the tv show “The Mandalorian” and I love Tech So I thought I’d merge the two and talk about cool tech that I saw in Season 2 Episode 1 of the Mandalorian Timestamp 0:00 Intro 0:23 Explanation for Video 0:34 Flow of Video 0:45 Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster 1:40 Beskar Armor 2:45 DarkSaber 3:34 Show Rating & Final Thoughts Flow of Video Amban phase-pulse blaster Beskar Armor Darksaber Final Thoughts & rating The Amban Phase-Pulse Blaser Also known as a disruptor, According to ”Star wars Fandom” is an energy weapon We actually see it being used in Season 1 Episode 2 where Mando useses it on a Jawa and it evaporates the Jawa We learn from that scene that it looks like it is a single shot blaster so Mando will have to reload every time, and we also learn it has a really good scope capable of zooming in with a crosshair site and it has the power to evaporate opponents we saw it evaporate the jawa which came as a surprise at the time We also see it being used In the first episode of the show and Season 2, Episode 1 of the Mandalorian where we see Mando get eaten by a Krayt Dragon and uses the front of the Blaster to electrocute the Dragon and Escape Mandalorian BeskarArmor The Beskar Armor gets crafted in Season 1 Episode 3 by the Mando Creed Forger in this epic forging scene “One Of my favortie scenes of the season” According to StarWars Fandom it is an alloy that is tolerate to extreme forms of damage and can even repel lightsaber strikes In Season 1 episode 5 we get this really cool sniper scene and we see Din Jarin take two direct shots of a blaster and be fine, so the armor is ridiculously durable Darksaber The Saber is a very old weapon created by the Jedi and became in possession of the clan vizsla according to clonewars fandom We have seen the saber first appear in The Mandalorian in the last episode of Season 1 where Moff Gideon survives a ship wreakage while in persuit, trying to retrive ”Baby Yoda” He was able to cut through the ship with the saber It looks like it is essentially a lightsaber because it is also powered by a Kyber Crystal Final Thoughts & Rating I really love the creativity of the variety of tech in the show, especially the Pulse Blaster and its multi use function I think this episode in particular was one of the better episodes in the series I personally love westerns and this episode felt so much like a western slash lone ranger film. The vast terrain, the saving a town, all of it was so interesting for me If I had to rate this episode I'd give it a 9.5/10 everything about this episode was great --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/techduo/message
Flow of the Podcast: New Feature: Temperature Tracking for both Mi band and Amazfit, New Feature: Temperature Tracking for both Mi band and Amazfit, How exactly Temperature Tracking works, Potentially new feature of Blood Oxygen for Mi Band 5, How Blood Oxygen Works, Final Thoughts & what features I want to see Temperature Tracking Feature: The Mi Band 5, Amazfit Band 5, and even older Mi Band devices which includes the Mi band 2, Mi band 3, and Mi Band 4 could get Temperature Tracking. Source code found in Mi Fit app has pointed to this being a possible reality, but recently AndroidTRhas confirmed this to be a likely possibly How can this be done? As you there is no hardware that supports this feature, at the moment, so how exactly will Xiaomi & Huami do this? The potential temperature tracking feature in the Smart Bands utilize the Continuous heart rate monitoring, they rely on pulse measurements, if you are sick or have a fever that would contribute to a rise in heart rate. The bands use the Liebermeister’s rule that says a 1 degree rise in body temperature equates to 8 beats per minute. We have seen tech stepping in to aid with the COVID Pandemic, Google and Apple have created a partnership for contact tracing. So, I’d imagine this temperature monitoring feature would serve the purpose of COVID detection Blood Oxygen Feature for Mi Band 5: One of you guys commented asking if I could see the Mi Band 5 potentially getting “Blood Oxygen SP02” as a feature via a firmware upgrade. My initial response was probably not because perhaps the Mi band 5 doesn’t have the hardware and because it could be used as a good selling point for the Mi Band 6 so financially it would make more sense to hold off. I now have more thoughts given how temperature tracking might be a new feature added to older Mi Bands and now I know exactly how the Blood Oxygen Feature in the Amzfit Band 5 Works How can this be done? Firstly the Blood Oxygen Sensor on the AmazfitBand 5 works using something called OxygenBeats which is AI created by Huami the parent company. The new sensor that is in the AmazFit Band 5 coupled with the OxygenBeats AI gives birth to the Blood Oxygen Sensor which is actually accurate compared to finger saturation. Which that all being said I don’t think Mi Band 5 will get the feature via a firmware update because the Blood Oxygen sensor uses more than just software to work, it uses the new sensor in the Amazfit Band 5 Final Thoughts: I like that Mi band and Amazfit Band users will potentially get Temperature Tracking, I think it is a very important feature given the times we are in. I want to potentially one day see Amazfit or Mi band series to have NFC and GPS. It would be so cool to pay for products with my watch or Go for a run without my Smartphone. And for the Mi Band series I think they should definitely have voice support and Blood Oxygen --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/techduo/message
Flow of podcasts: Hidden Sleep Features, Habit Tracking features, Camera Shutter and Music Play, Blood Oxygen Level, Final Thoughts and Ending Hidden Sleep Feature: As you know the Amazfit Band 5 has sleep monitoring and even gives you a sleep score. I have always had a problem with the sleep monitoring not being accurate. That was until now, I have found a way to make sleep monitoring feature a lot more accurate on the Band. You just have to open the Zepp app, click the profile icon on the bottom, click ”Smart Analysis”, Then turn on the sleep quality analysis, it is set off by default. This will allow the sleep monitoring feature to record your sleep patterns more accurately Habit Tracking Features: You can now track your habits on this device it is called “Behavior Tracking." You can even get a reminder when it is time to do your activities. The purpose of this is to be more efficient with time management and create more self discipline. Behavior tracking is slightly hidden so you have toopen up your Zepp app, Click profile on the bottom left hand portion of the screen, then click behavior tracking. You can click on anything like bathing, jump rope, sleeping or even create your own custom behavior Blood Oxygen Feature: The Blood Oxygen feature is huge a hidden feature, and it doesn’t come enabled by default and it is tricky turning it on. You have to open the Zepp app, Go to Profile, Hit the Amazfit Band 5, Hit Band Display, then drag Sp02 to above Hidden item and click Save. Once you do that it will be enabled and you can start using it, make sure you are still while using it to make sure it is monitoring properly. Camera Shutter & Music Controls: The Camera Shutter & Music Control feature isn’t really hidden, but a lot of people don’t know it exists. To access the Camer Shutter feature you have toswipe up on your Amazfit Band 5 to the “More” Category. Once you click that you have to hit the “Camera” and you will now have access to the Camera controls you can snap a photo or hit record video. You go through the same process for the Music Controls except you hit ”Music” and have access to those controls Final Thoughts & Ending: I use the Blood Oxygen Feature and the Sleep tracking feature a lot; I don’t know why the Blood Oxygen feature isn’t available on the Amazfit Band 5 as a default, it shouldn’t be in the hidden items folder. Also I wanted to answer one of your questions from the previous video about the Mi band 5 and the Amazfit Band 5. But let me know what other features you guys are interested in seeing from this device. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/techduo/message
