Both members had interesting views to share about their experience in research and the dynamics of the researcher-volunteer relationship.     This week in preparation for the exciting upcoming "Sex Week" at Goodenough, I spoke to Tamar Geist, who co-heads up Queerenough - Goodenough's very own LGBTQ society. Tamar is a talented musician and active 3rd year member at GC who is doing her PhD in Music, investigating gender and the female voice with relation to music and singing. Sex Week is a week where GC members discuss and promote diversity of sexual choices, sexuality and gender.     Sexual harassment is ubiquitous and can be a very challenging topic to deal with. In this Podcast I interview Simran Kalra, who is currently doing her PHD on domestic violence in the UK. We discuss her background in India, her experience in London and Goodenough College, and her work in the Gender Chapter Society. The second half of the interview focuses on sexual harassment and the gendered nature of the conversation particularly around the response to an incident outside Goodenough several months ago.

    We spoke to the wonderful Rebecca Matthews, Goodenough's new Director! We chatted to Rebecca about her impressive role as Managing Director of the European Capital of Culture Aarhus, after which she was awarded the Knight's Cross Order of the Dannebrog in 2017 by HM Queen Margrethe II for services to Denmark and Danish arts and culture. Rebecca also shared her experiences in her previous roles in the British Council's Director for New York and Global Partnerships, Director Government Relations for the Sydney Opera House and other senior management roles in cultural relations and diplomacy.     We spoke to the marvelous, alum Goodenough Member Devon Johnson who has just completed her MA in Applied Theater at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Devon is a Harry Potter super-fan and even wrote her MA dissertation on her favourite subject ; "Applied Potter and the Performative Experience", where Devon explored Harry Potter experiences (trademark or fan-made) and how those experiences could be seen as a type of applied theater. Devon is originally from Texas and admits that the magical world of Harry Potter played a pivotal role in her decision to study in the UK. Now that's true Harry Potter dedication!
