You Can Rewind It

We watch 1989's When Harry Met Sally.  We talk road trips, karaoke, and the question: apple pie a la mode? Sorry, I mean, "can men and women be just friends"?

We watch 1984's Gremlins.  We talk about the Gremlins movie, cereal, Hardee's kids meal toys.   We also have a special appearance from our 8 year.  We will all give this a rewind?

Nothing gets you in the Christmas spirit like 1988's Die Hard.  We talk office Christmas parties and wonder....are butt sketches still a thing?  Will this one go on our Christmas movie favorites list?

Brock finally talks Alexa into watching one of his favorites, 1978's Halloween. Can this complete horror movie wimp give this one a rewind?  

We're in the mood for a Thanksgiving movie, so we watch Home for the Holidays.  Could this become a holiday favorite?

We watch The Outsiders -  The Complete Novel.  We haven't read the book, and hadn't seen the movie.  We talk drive ins, big stars, and Alexa reveals which actor she thinks has aged really well.

We're back from summer vacation with a fun new episode.  It's time for the kids to go back to school, so we watched the 1986 Rodney Dangerfield movie Back To School.  We talk school, diving, and have our first podcast injury.  

No way this is our first Eddie Murphy movie! We watch The Golden Child.  It's PG-13, which would explain why I had seen this Eddie Murphy film as a kid, and not many of the others.  Will we give it a rewind?

With the World Cup going on, what's better than the ridiculous soccer movie Ladybugs from 1992.  A lot of this movie went over our heads back in the day.....is our love for Jackee enough to give this a rewind?

We're calling the Ghostbusters!  Love that theme song. Anybody else own the Ray Parker Jr cassette?

We discuss 1982's blockbuster movie ET.  This was Brock's first movie to watch at the theater, and Alexa's introduction to Reeses Pieces.

 We watch and sing along to Sister Act.  Even our girls  put down their electronics for this one!

It's The Goonies!  Was this one of your childhood favorites?  Did you know the song is actually called "Goonies R Good Enough"? 

In this special episdoe of YCRI, we watch Cocktai,while enjoying a few cocktails and podcasting.  Will Brock get over his dislike for Tom Cruise enough to give this a rewind? Cheers!

With baseball season upon us, we watch The Sandlot!  Can you believe Brock has never seen it?  Also, we talk about our famous ball signed by a guy named "Babe". 

We are talking about 1980's Caddyshack and our love/hate relationship with golf. Bonus: a cautionary tale from Brock about eating a family size creamed spinach from Boston Market, and the aftermath I said I was going to edit out but didn't.

I finally get Brock to watch Dead Poets Society so I could get an adult perspective on my one my favorites.  Why couldn't Mr. Keating be my teacher?

We watch the Weird Science.  Amazing what you could do with a computer in the 80's and with the help of lightning of course.

We watch 1990's Days of Thunder and share our own driving mishaps.  Which one of us took out a friend's mailbox?

Brock realizes his love of Cobra Kai, and that he has been misquoting the movie all these years!  We watch Karate Kid - the 1984 original!  We have the most fun we have ever had recordng a podcast.  Brock tells a story about how testing out his "Karate" moves at the bus stop ended with a trip to the principles office. 

We rerelease our Karate Kid 2 episode after watching the original again.  Alexa finds out that her glimpse of Japan was actually Hawaii.  

With the Winter Olympics underway, we watch Cool Runnings.  Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, and check out this episode where we discuss bobsled, Jamaica, and of course our love for John Candy.

It's almost time for Winter Olympics!  We prepare ourselves by talking about our lack of winter sport skills, and by watching the 1992 classic The Cutting Edge.  Toe Pick!

Alexa finally gets Brock to watch one of her favorites, 1994's Reality Bites.  Is there any way he will like it and give it a rewind?

"They're here".  Brock and Alexa watch 1982's Poltergeist. Are you scared of clowns, trees, or maggots?  This movie has all that and more and is rated PG, what?

Brock talks Alexa into watching horror movies in October.  Wanna play? It's Child's Play, you know the one that changed the way you looked at dolls forever.   

Brock & Alexa watch Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. When we originally saw this movie, we thought it was "excellent".  Will we give it rewind and "party on"?

We watch Ghost, you know, the one that makes you think of pottery in a totally different light.  I got Brock to watch the movie, but can I get him to give it a rewind?

As summer comes to a close, we watch Summer Rental!  You know the one were John Candy goes on vacation, learns to sail, and wins a Regatta all in one movie.

We watch the movie with one of the most iconic romantic gestures. Yes, it's the boombox over the head blaring Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" from 1989's Say Anything. Will we give this one a rewind??

It's Uncle Buck!  In this episode, we talk about the drama of teenagers, the greatness of John Candy, any how cute Macaulay Culkin was.

We were in the mood for some comedy, so, we watch one of Brock's favorites, Spaceballs! Alexa talks about her new nightgown and gets confused about Col Sanders.
