Azar, porque o filme é péssimo, tem os Fat Boys como atores, uns efeitos sonoros de desenho animado, uma coisa horrorosa de se ver, não assista. Boa (re)audição e até a próxima! Soul legends collaborate with Shania Twain on single "Yes, I Will" which drops on Valentine's Day, February 14th.This new collection to also feature music legends Ronnie Wood, Gene Simmons, Billy F. Gibbons, The Elton John Band, Steve Lukather, Bill Champlin, Tower of Power, and many more. The Stylistics announce their first new album in almost two decades titled "FALLING IN LOVE WITH MY GIRL," which will be released worldwide on February 21, 2025. The soul legends known for their iconic hits, "Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart)," "You Are Everything," "You Make Me Feel Brand New," and more, earning them 5 Gold singles and 3 Gold albums, will bring audiences their first new single from the 21-track album "Yes, I Will," featuring Shania Twain, on February 14. "FALLING IN LOVE WITH MY GIRL," produced by Tom Cridland and Executive Produced by Deborah Cridland, will feature a who's who of legendary and noted artists who collaborated on the album alongside Twain: Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones, Gene Simmons of KISS, The Elton John Band (including Nigel Olsson and Davey Johnstone), Bill Champlin of Chicago, Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ Top, Steve Lukather of Toto, Tower of Power, Ray Parker, Jr., Jay Graydon, Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, The Real Thing, Nathan East and Carly Paoli. For "Yes, I Will," Twain had been invited to sing on one of the tracks already written, but she had in mind the perfect song for the album that she had co-written with Nathan East, (to which Tom Cridland contributed), that was a soulful fit for The Stylistics. Ray Parker Jr., Steve Lukather and East performed on the track that was the last song recorded for the collection, and is the first new track in 17 years to be released by the legendary group. Says Twain, "I'm so happy that this song I wrote 'Yes, I Will' has found a home on The Stylistics album. That is just so exciting. It's a special song that came together on one special day at my home where I was hanging out with some friends and musicians. So I think it turned out great and I'm just really excited to share it with the whole world." Airrion Love from The Stylistics adds, "I fell in love with Shania Twain the first time I heard 'You're Still the One' - a great song that I still love. When we heard there might be a chance to do something with her we said, "Hell yeah!"" The Stylistics' original members Airrion Love and Herb Murrell, together with Jason Sharp who joined the group in 2011, recorded their vocals at Spice House Sound in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and at Wright Way Studios in Baltimore, Maryland. Tom Cridland arranged and recorded the background vocals in the Scottish Highlands and at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The Elton John Band including Nigel Olsson and Davey Johnstone laid down the instrumental tracks at the Record Plant in Hollywood, California. "FALLING IN LOVE WITH MY GIRL" was the last album ever made at the legendary recording studio. Most of the songs were written by Tom Cridland together with Anthony King of Blackpool and Anthony's wife, Fiona Shaw. Two tracks were written by Airrion Love, "Sad Tomorrows" and "I Get A Feeling." rWotD Episode 2827: All in Love Is Fair (album) Welcome to Random Wiki of the Day, your journey through Wikipedia’s vast and varied content, one random article at a time. The random article for Wednesday, 29 January 2025 is All in Love Is Fair (album). All in Love Is Fair is a studio album by American singer Nancy Wilson, released by Capitol Records in August 1974. It was her first album with producer Gene Page, who also did the arrangements and conducting and gave the album a more R&B-oriented sound. Musicians on the album include Ray Parker Jr., Wah Wah Watson, and Tom Scott. Marvin Gaye is also listed on the back cover as "The Phantom," with "warmest thanks." All in Love Is Fair includes one of the few songs co-written by Wilson.Jason Ankeny at AllMusic hails Wilson's "sultriness and soulfulness. Page swaddles the singer in billowing strings and slow-burn funk rhythms, weaving a series of luminously sensual backdrops that wouldn't be out of place on Motown or Philadelphia International." He also notes that "the music never veers so far into the mainstream that Wilson abandons her jazz roots entirely, and she brings to the songs the intelligence and articulateness one would expect."All in Love Is Fair peaked at No. 11 on Billboard's Soul LPs chart and No. 97 on the Billboard 200. The song "Streetrunner" reached No. 46 on Billboard's Best Selling Soul Singles. In 2011, SoulMusic Records released a digitally remastered version of the album, paired with Come Get to This, Wilson's next album, which was also produced by Gene Page. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:44 UTC on Wednesday, 29 January 2025.For the full current version of the article, see All in Love Is Fair (album) on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm long-form Patrick.

With seven Grammy Awards under his belt, Forrest Robinson has built quite the musical career for himself. He's toured as a drummer with bands India.Arie, Victor Wooten, Randy Crawford, Joe Sample, TLC, Ray Parker Jr., The Crusaders, Fifth Dimension, and Arrested Development to name a few. He has also performed live on “Saturday Night Live,” “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Good Morning America,” and many more. Forrest is also the drummer in Phil Collen's (Def Leppard lead guitarist) blues-rock-n-soul band Delta Deep. On the night of January 8th, 2025, during the devastating California fires that ravaged tens of thousands of acres, including the entire city of Altadena, Forrest's home he shared with his wife Paige, was razed to the ground. This included his music studio, revered drum set ‘Gretchen,' all his musical instruments, and vital computer equipment. Forrest and Paige evacuated their home the evening before, as directed, wearing only the clothes on their backs carrying their small pup. 'The Shoutout Music Appreciation 101', a weekly radio program on the Stationhead music platform and it's dedicated listening family, the TSO Audio Crew, have unified with the creation of this GoFundme to get the attention of many to help us assist Forrest who has been a dear friend, thoughtful person and masterful musical talent. We love you Forrest. https://gofund.me/6df08dc7https://gofund.me/6df08dc7

It's part 2 of our ‘New York' series - the city so nice they podcasted about it twice - and we finally get to “Ghostbusters”. A film in which… well, it's “Ghostbusters”. Surely you've seen it? The original and still best; whatever your take on the films that followed; this is a stone cold 100% classic. With visual effects and character comedy that (pretty much) stand up to this day, it surely counts as one of the finest celebrations of the Big Apple as ever put on the silver screen. A true family film (if you ignore to supernatural blowie) with jokes for the adults, and rip-roaring adventure for the kids, it's those kids that it first entranced who are now spearheading the renewed interest and revival of the franchise . With that design classic of a logo and Ray Parker Jr.'s ear worm title song simply everywhere, 1984 belonged to the Ghostbusters (despite the release of a number of other incredible films that year) and it was, to quote Dr Peter Venkman, “a legitimate phenomenon”. Watch (or, more likely, re-watch) to avoid spoilers and join us.

The original Ghostbusters (1984) is a timeless comedy that perfectly balances humor, adventure, and supernatural elements. The story follows a group of eccentric scientists who turn to ghost-catching after losing their academic jobs. As they face off against otherworldly threats haunting New York City, they discover an impending catastrophe that only they can prevent. What makes the first Ghostbusters so iconic—and why sequels have struggled to recapture its magic—is the incredible chemistry between the cast. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson bring a sense of natural camaraderie and wit that feels both genuine and endlessly entertaining. Their distinct personalities blend together, creating a team dynamic that grounds the supernatural storyline and makes it relatable. The movie's impact goes beyond its cast. The music, including Ray Parker Jr.'s unforgettable theme song, amplifies the film's energy, setting the tone for a story that's both spooky and fun. And then there's New York City itself. The film captures the grit, character, and charm of 1980s NYC, transforming the city into a character all its own. Every street corner, landmark, and ghostly encounter pulls audiences into a lively, supernatural New York that's thrilling to watch. While recent sequels have added new technology, characters, and modern humor, they've been unable to replicate the authentic charm and effortless humor of the original. The first Ghostbusters stands out as a true classic, seamlessly blending horror, comedy, and adventure in a way that feels fresh, funny, and utterly unique.Stick around until the end of the discussion and join us for a round of Movie 20 Questions.Who you gonna call? We discuss the entire saga; from Ivan Reitman's classic original, the Real Ghostbusters cartoon that refined the series as entertainment for kids, the disappointing 1989 sequel, the 2016 all-female reboot that became a flashpoint for culture warriors online, and the recent legacy sequels guided by Jason Reitman, which have recast this saga as some form of modern American myth about a family legacy instead of just being high-concept comedies about New York schlubs who become entrepreneurs (aka the winning formula for success) We praise the Bobby Brown theme for Ghostbusters II, commend Dan Aykroyd for his fully-committed performance in the latest film (a stark contrast to Bill Murray's clear disinterest in his continuing involvement), and dig into how these new films meant for “the true fans” of the series continually get wrong what the actual legacy of these films is, as Columbia Pictures continues to struggle to make a real cinematic universe out of this IP, forever hoping lightning will strike twice. Fasten your proton packs and prepared to be slimed as Cory and Nick dissect the underappreciated sequel, "Ghostbusters II." On this minisode, in anticipation(?) of Ghostbusters: Frozen Kingdom, we peel back the curtain on the fall from grace of our beloved specter-hunters, reflecting the actors' own real-life arcs as Cory states his case to Nick of why this sequel is superior to the 1984 original (which Nick disagrees with). With sharp insights and a few laughs, we reveal how the sequel's narrative cleverly dances with the decade's cultural heartbeat, connecting dots that only a true fan—or a keen new viewer—could spot.End your ghost-hunting expedition with a debate that has echoed through the ages: Can the sequel's soundtrack possibly outshine Ray Parker Jr.'s iconic anthem? As we weigh the cultural clout and chart-topping triumphs of both tunes, we also consider the underappreciated depths of "Ghostbusters II." We salute Bill Murray's enigmatic approach to life that bleeds into every role, from zany paranormal investigator to the reflective characters he portrays in later films. With spirits high and PKE meters off the charts, we close the trap on an episode that's as much about the phenomenon of Ghostbusters as it is a toast to Murray's indelible mark on the silver screen. Thanks for listening; If you feel like supporting us, this is where you do that!BuyMeACoffee Check out or other content/socials here. Heyooo! We're back again with another hot and fresh ep of the pod. If you can't get your hands on "The Gang Recycles Their Trash" because it's behind Hulu streaming bars, we've got you covered - you can listen to us yap about it... instead. In this episode, the boyz of the pod reminisce about what it's like to watch a dvd, group dynamics, juicy dongs, the differences between a twink, a twank and a twunk, what is and isn't a callback or reference to a previous episode, Ray Parker Jr, Dee's Powersuit, the gang being back in town, Mac looking like a gargoyle riding on the back of a limo, and much, much more. If this episode satisfies one twink versatile, we'll feel like we've done our jobs. Guest: Jason Solomon, Security Engineer, Google Topics: Could you share a bit about when you get pulled into incidents and what are your goals when you are? How does that change in the cloud? How do you establish a chain of custody and prove it for law enforcement, if needed? What tooling do you rely on for cloud forensics and is that tooling available to "normal people"? How do we at Google know when it's time to call for help, and how should our customers know that it's time? Can I quote Ray Parker Jr and ask, who you gonna call? What's your advice to a security leader on how to “prepare for the inevitable” in this context? Cloud forensics - is it easier or harder than the 1990s classic forensics? Here's to the songs that make to movies. Usually when I watch a movie and get into it, I end up finding that one or two of the songs in there are pretty good. Then I research it and try to download. Nothing gives you goosebumps like a good action scene with a great score along side it. Or romance scene with a good love song to make the scene fly off the screen. Join us on this episode of Rock Phoenix Live: Take Two where we talk about the songs that instantly make you think of the movie that goes with it. Try and name the movie before we say the answer. There aren't many actors that everyone will attest to just being an all-around great guy. Carl Weathers was one of those people. You may have first hated him as Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies, but I bet you jumped out of your seat when Rocky beat Apollo while racing down the beach in Rocky 3. And I guarantee you were the first to cry when his character is beaten to death by Ivan Drago in Rocky 4. He shined in whatever role he was given. Chubbs in Happy Gilmore. Freddie in The Comebacks. And even Carl playing Carl in Arrested Development. Today, when we heard Carl had passed away at age 76, we thought about those 10 minutes. What a gift it was. Thanks for the memories, Carl. We will definitely miss you. Here's our 2009 conversation with the late, great Carl Weathers. The Stuck in the '80s podcast is sponsored by The 80s Cruise. Who ya gonna call? Gobbledygeek! For the first installment of our That Was Then series, taking a look back at movies celebrating anniversaries in 2024, Paul and Arlo take residence at Spook Central for 1984's Ghostbusters. Turning a frightful 40 this year, Ivan Reitman's classic comedy began as a high-concept riff on the “slobs v. snobs” template made popular by Animal House before becoming an inescapable pop cultural juggernaut. The boys discuss the thoughtfulness of Reitman's direction in tandem with the great László Kovács' photography, the perfectly structured script by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, how much of Pete Venkman is just Bill Murray, and why the right-wing backlash to the 2016 remake is ironic in light of the original's sketchy politics. (unlocked from Patreon; episode 4 of 4) Reid (@seriations) and Wendy Painting (@BirdWendy2) finish our conversation about Ghostbusters. In this episode, I go through Dan Aykroyd's career, his family history, the history of mediums, sus gurus, and the producer Ivan Reitman. Then I get into the Simon Necronomicon and the Magickal Childe bookstore and the crossover with themes in Ghostbusters. We attempt to explain the wave of films about psychics in the 1980s as part of the same rightward cultural push and attempt to vindicate the Ghostbusters EPA agent. Then, to finish, Wendy does a tarot reading for me and Reid. Full disclosure: the first reading was way too accurate and personal to leave in, though maybe I will explain it one day.
