This week, Ross introduces Carie to the absolute delight that is Sister Act (1992), a film about a lounge singer who witnesses a murder and is forced to hide out in a convent of nuns. Ross has a lot of feelings on the arrangements of Sister Mary Clarence's lounge tunes in the church choir. Carie's heart is stolen by a sweet young nun with a surprisingly big voice. And surprisingly, the siblings see the power that Catholic guilt has in taking on the mafia. SUPPORT US ON PATREON!

John Treacy Egan is a Broadway star. He's an actor and a singer. He's perhaps best known for his work in The Producers, where he started off playing Franz Liebkind. Then he took over the role of Roger De Bris. Then he graduated to the leading role of Max Bialystock. And he was in the film version too. He's also been in many other shows including The Little Mermaid, Jekyll and Hyde, Bye Bye Birdie, Sister Act and Guys and Dolls. And he's been in a whole bunch of movies and tv shows as well including The Knick, Nurse Jackie and Boardwalk Empire. And as a singer he's released two CDs and been on various Broadway cast albums. Aisata Blackman ist eine niederländische Sängerin und Musiktheaterdarstellerin (TINA – Das Musical, Sister Act, Bodyguard, We Will Rock You). Another One Bites the Dust“ keine Fehler verzeiht. Get ready for an electrifying conversation with actress Tiana Okoye, whose performance journey spans from the UCLA musical theater program to Broadway, to the high-octane world of Peacock's Twisted Metal. In this episode, we explore Tiana's incredible resilience, including the "humbling" moment her first major tour contract for Sister Act was terminated due to vocal nodules and how she pivoted to find success at Tokyo Disney and on Broadway in The Cher Show. From her intensive Broadway training to bringing the iconic video game character "Dollface" to life, Tiana shares what it truly means to "fail big" and find self-confidence in an industry that rarely offers handholding.
