This week we are joined by Kevin from the Junk Food Dinner podcast and we review the previously lost film 'Nothing Lasts Forever' from 1984! Produced by Lorne Michaels, starring Zach Galligan (star of Gremlins), Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Mort Sahl, Sam Jaffe, and Bud Melman (!!!), amongst others. This beautifully intelligent comedy must be seen to be believed. Yet, it never had ANY official theatrical or home media release EVER! It blew our fucking minds. True to form, as we covered a LOST movie, we *almost* had a LOST episode [fucking computer problems :( ], but the Compañeros prevailed! Also: Catch and Release, Fun Film Fact, Songs On Trial, What Movie is This?, James Best has ANOTHER T-Shirt Giveaway, and so much more! Leave us a 5 star review on iTunes and we'll read it on the show! or leave us a voicemail at (724) 2GO-GO69 and we'll play it! Our Pages: Facebook! Twitter! Instagram! Spotify!

Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 33 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! Last episode we finally got to Jim Wynorski, and this episode it's Fred Olen Ray time, as we check out his 1996 erotic thriller Over the Wire! An murder plot unexpectedly overheard on a telephone call leads to a web of secrets, mysterious and twists. Hey, it's sort of like 1948's Sorry, Wrong Number, isn't it? Well, yes and no. There's less bed-ridden Barbara Stanwyck in this (like, 100% less), and more Landon Hall and Shauna O'Brien (in various beds for different reasons), and more crazy acting from legendary weirdo John Lazar as an assassin. Also, you get to see more of Tim Abell than you'd ever imagined you might as he climbs over Shauna O'Brien with his back to the camera while completely naked. It's all on show, believe me. You can see everything that man owns, as they say. Plus, we check out the career of Brinke Stevens! The question of why Brinke does come up - quite reasonably - because she has literally two lines in the film. The reason is because she's fascinating and awesome. She was kicked out of her doctoral studies in marine biology because she was performing "forbidden research" on dolphin communication. That's a direct quote, by the way. Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669!
This week we wander into the wilderness only to find a workprint of the unreleased sequel to Grizzly --- Grizzly 2: The Concert (1983)! Which weirdly stars Charlie Sheen, George Clooney, and Laura Dern?! No kidding! Plus: Catch and Release. Fun Film Fact. What Movie Is This?. James Best, and Songs on Trial with a mucho caliente new single from our favorite defendant! Leave a voicemail! (724)2GO-GO69!!!
Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 31 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! Back to the wonderful world of Sidaris movies this episode, for Drew Sidaris' directorial debut: Enemy Gold! Three agents bust a gang smuggling drugs in watermelons, but then get suspended because of the goddamn bureaucracy so they go on a camping holiday to the woods. It's kind of like Takeshi Kitano's Sonatine, when the yakuza family goes on holiday to the beach, but less nihilistic and with less suicidal imagery and honestly probably not all that much like Sonatine at all now that I think about it. Plus, we look at the life and times of the star of the film, Suzi Simpson! She only did one Sidaris movie, and really only had a major role in one other, but she did write an unproduced comedy script which she said in 2001 is kind of like Caddyshack, so someone should really hit her up and get that thing made. Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669!
Anna's back to break down 1993's Aussie splatstick body horror -- BODY MELT! Leave us a voicemail at (724)246-4669 aka (724)2GO-GO69! We love you romantically and want to hear from you!
Squad up! This week the gang watched J. Christian Ingvordson's "lost" metal horror movie BLUE VENGEANCE (1989)!Recently, Vinegar Syndrome but out 2k restoration of this obscure instant classic with tons of special features. Plus: Catch and Release, Songs on Trial, a Fun Film Fact, Listener Feedback, James Best T-shirt Winners, and so much more! Leave us a 5 star iTunes review and we'll read it on the show, or just call our Compañeros hotline (724)2GO-GO69 aka (724)246-4669! also: evil genius, terrace house, arrested development, necropolis, lethal lady, no retreat no surrender, tough guys don’t dance, severed VHS, wolf eyes, martin rev, alan vega, suicide, amir shervin, young rebels, killing american style, John rad, samurai cop, robert z’dar, welcome home brothers charles, phantom of the ritz, the coasters, and tons of other shit
Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 29 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! Did you know Lou Diamond Phillips wrote, directed and starred in an erotic thriller in 1994 called Dangerous Touch? Now you do! And you also get to hear us talk about it, along with our special returning guest, Ash from For the Story podcast! Dangerous Touch is about Amanda Grace, a sex therapist/psychoanalyst/radio host who falls for a mysterious and enticing man named Mick. But what does he want from her? The answers will shock and surprise you! Well, some of them will. Obviously at least one of the answers is "sexy times". And, of course, we also talk about the life and times of the great Lou Diamond Phillips, and find out about a bunch of really odd films he's done, like the 2016 film where he played Richard Ramirez. That seems very strange, but it happened! Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669!
Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 28 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! We're back to the work of Andy Sidaris, and this time we're checking out the final film in his epic Kane trilogy: 1993's Fit to Kill! The agents are trying to keep a Russian diamond from being stolen by Kane, but is he the one they really need to worry about? If the first two in the trilogy were a little too straight-ahead and easily comprehensible for your tastes, boy are you in luck this time - Andy's back to his old tricks and pretty much everyone in the movie is planning 16 steps ahead and double crossing everyone else. It's really something. Plus: the stunning remote-control helicopter on remote-control helicopter air battle you've been waiting for. And of course as always we dig deep into the life and times of someone involved in the film! This episode, it's the great Roberta Vasquez, Playmate of the Month for November 1984, and former department store security guard and cop! Also, according to the July 1985 issue of Playboy she recorded an album in Hamburg with January 1982 Playmate Kimberly McArthur which was never released, so it seems like we should all get together and demand it finally sees the light of day. Gotta be worth it, right? Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669!
Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 26 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! This episode, we head back to 1965, for proto-softcore sexploitation potboiler Scream of the Butterfly! It's half energetic far-out melodrama, and half static law office drama - quite literally, in the sense that both parts are written and directed by separate teams and share no actors. So that's frankly unusual. Also it turns out the film as a whole is weirdly divisive amongst the cast of Get Soft, and probably not in the way you'd expect! Plus, we talk about the life and times of both Eber and Nélida Lobato, the director and star of the film! Director and star of the better half, that is. They were dancers from Argentina, who made it sort of big in the US, then went to Paris and made it pretty big, and then went back to Argentina, and became superstars! You will find out more about them on this episode than any other English language source, promise! Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669!
Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 24 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! We've been talking about it for quite a while, and now finally, the gang are joined by special guest Ash from very popular podcast Hey Brother Can You Spare A Dime, You Know I Got A Jonesin' For Porno But Only 'Cause I Like The Stories (better known as [For the Story](https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/avery-mitchell/for-the-story))! They're sort of like Get Soft, but with hardcore. We check out the sci-fi new-age weirdness of 1996's Alien Abduction: Intimate Secrets. Three women go...somewhere in Europe. Their car breaks down. What happens next will astonish you! But honestly it won't if you've read the title (they get abducted by an alien). Plus, we talk about the life and times of one of the film's stars, Pia Reyes! She was a champion lacrosse player, appeared in music videos, became a Playboy Playmate, had a career in b-movies, and...well, this time what happens next genuinely will astonish you! It's a truly bananas story. Also, somehow these shows keep going over 2 hours lately? That's puzzling. Hey, why not call us on our new hotline and tell us what you think about that? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669! Or just tell us some things about your cats or something. Either is good with us.
