Have you ever wondered what happens when a beloved cartoon character takes on a corporate giant in a courtroom battle? Join host Kevin Reid in this riveting episode of The K. B. Radio Network as he delves into the live-action/animated film "Coyote vs. Acme," directed by David Green and featuring the comedic talents of Will Forte and Lana Condor. This film isn't just a nostalgic trip down memory lane; it's a fresh take on Wile E. Coyote's relentless pursuit of the Acme Corporation for selling him faulty products, a storyline that resonates with anyone who has ever felt wronged by a big company. Reid takes listeners on a journey through the film's tumultuous path to release, highlighting its initial shelving by Warner Bros. and eventual acquisition by another studio. He reflects on the impact of Looney Tunes on his childhood, reminiscing about the laughter and lessons these iconic characters imparted. As he unpacks the emotional depth of Wile E. Coyote's character arc—masterfully conveyed without a single word—Reid captures the essence of what made these cartoons timeless. With a keen eye for detail, Reid also points out the film's comedic highlights, particularly the standout moments featuring John Cena, who brings an extra layer of humor to the story. However, he notes that the live-action actors serve primarily as a backdrop to the animated antics, allowing the beloved characters to shine in their own right. This episode is a delightful blend of nostalgia and critique, as Reid offers a balanced perspective on the film, ultimately giving it a grade of C+. While he acknowledges the film's enjoyable aspects, he suggests that it may find a more suitable home on streaming platforms rather than in theaters. Listeners are encouraged to engage with the K. B. Radio Network, sharing their thoughts on "Coyote vs. Acme" and the film's unique approach to storytelling. Whether you're a die-hard Looney Tunes fan or just curious about the latest in animated cinema, this episode promises to entertain and provoke thought. The Case of the Spokane 3 On June 11, 2025, there was a demonstration of hundreds of people in Spokane, Washington to defend two young asylum-seekers, Cesar Alexander Alvarez Perez and Joswar Slater Rodriguez Torres, who were kidnapped by ICE while appearing for a scheduled check-in. What if the weight of the world rested on the shoulders of a teenager? Join host Kevin Reid as he dives deep into the emotional and action-packed universe of Marvel's latest release, "Spider-Man: Brave New Day," on The K. B. Radio Network. This episode is a must-listen for any Marvel fan, as Reid delivers a comprehensive spoiler review that not only examines the film's thrilling plot but also unravels the intricate character arcs that make this installment stand out. From the iconic portrayal of Tom Holland as Spider-Man to the captivating performances of Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, Reid explores how each character contributes to Peter Parker's profound journey. With the haunting shadow of Aunt May's death looming over him, Reid discusses the themes of responsibility, grief, and the inevitable consequences of being a superhero. Is this the most emotionally resonant Spider-Man film ever made? Reid believes it just might be, praising the film's depth and the remarkable character development that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. One of the standout performances comes from Sadie Sink, who takes on the role of Jean Grey, bringing a fresh dynamic to the film. Reid also highlights John Bernthal's portrayal of Frank Castle, which adds layers of complexity to the story. However, he doesn't shy away from critiquing the unnecessary inclusion of Florence Pugh's character, sparking discussions on character relevance and narrative coherence. The pacing of the film and its portrayal of New York City are also key points of analysis, as Reid emphasizes how these elements enhance the viewer's experience. Unlike traditional superhero films, "Spider-Man: Brave New Day" challenges the notion of a singular villain, focusing instead on the internal struggles faced by Spider-Man. Reid's insights into this unique approach provide a fresh perspective on what it means to be a hero in a world filled with personal demons. As he wraps up the review, Reid speculates on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, teasing the exciting possibilities that lie ahead, particularly with the upcoming "Secret Wars. "Don't miss this captivating episode of The K. B. Radio Network, where Kevin Reid delivers the ultimate spoiler-filled review of "Spider-Man: Brave New Day. " Whether you're a die-hard Marvel enthusiast or just curious about the latest superhero flick, this episode promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking listen that will leave you eagerly anticipating what comes next in the Marvel saga. What happens when a horror film spawns a science fiction erotic thriller? Join host Kevin Reid on The K. B. Radio Network as he delves into the intriguing world of 'Soulmate,' a daring spin-off of the controversial film 'Megan. ' Reid's candid review explores the film's heavy sexual themes and the audacious decision to release it directly on demand, sparking curiosity about the future of cinematic distribution. With a blend of excitement and skepticism, he reflects on the original 'Megan,' a movie that, despite its flaws, captivated audiences with its cheesy charm. As the episode unfolds, Reid shines a spotlight on Lily Sullivan's standout performance as the android lead, bringing a unique depth to a character caught in a web of desire and danger. The film kicks off with a pulse-pounding start, featuring brutal kills and an electrifying atmosphere that pulls viewers in. However, Reid's enthusiasm takes a hit as he navigates the film's disappointing third act, where unresolved plot points and a lack of character development leave much to be desired. Listeners will find Reid's critique both insightful and entertaining as he examines how 'Soulmate' struggles to embrace its horror roots, veering into an incoherent storyline that ultimately undermines its potential. Why did a film with such promise falter? What lessons can be learned from its execution? Reid's analysis raises important questions about the balance between genre expectations and creative ambition. Whether you're a die-hard horror fan, a lover of science fiction, or simply curious about the latest trends in film, this episode is sure to ignite your imagination and provoke thoughtful discussion. Tune in now to experience the captivating world of 'Soulmate' and discover what lies beneath the surface of this ambitious film! Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

Cabrera, EdD, MSN, CAGS, PMHNP-BC and Katie Krych, MSN, RN, PMHNP(c) dive into a topic that resonates with women everywhere: feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, and misunderstood. Through candid conversation, personal stories, and plenty of laughter, Emily and Katie explore the invisible mental load that many women carry every day. From managing households, raising children, navigating careers, supporting relationships, and juggling endless to-do lists, they discuss how overstimulation can often be mistaken for irritability, impatience, or being "mean." The discussion examines the cultural expectations placed on women to remain patient, available, and emotionally regulated at all times, while also highlighting the importance of boundaries, self-awareness, and self-compassion. Emily and Katie share their own experiences with stress, ADHD, motherhood, perimenopause, caregiving, and the challenges of asking for help when life feels overwhelming. Most importantly, they remind listeners that needing a break does not make you selfish, setting boundaries does not make you difficult, and asking for space does not make you unkind. Sometimes what looks like frustration on the outside is simply a nervous system asking for rest. As always, this conversation is not about perfection. It is about creating space for honest discussions, offering practical tools, and helping listeners feel seen, understood, and supported in the realities of everyday life.
