Rice Owls Insider features talks with Owls CUSA champion soccer coach Brian Lee, baseball coach Matt Bragga, and national champion Paul Janish. Voice of the Owls J.P. Heath leads off with coach Bragga, wrapping up the trip out to Norfolk against ODU. While the series went in favor of the Monarchs there were some bright spots on the mound and at the plate. Assistant coach Paul Janish discusses some of the young talent on this year’s team and his memory of a special day to him - May 14, 2008. Then Coach Lee breaks down the new #22 national ranking and the great defensive play this season. He concludes with a preview of the Owls opening NCAA Tournament match with Furman.
Rice Head Baseball Coach Matt Bragga visits with JP Heath to discuss some of the 'unknowns' facing the Owls program following the suspension of the season. Bragga also assesses the progress the team was making in the second year under his direction, and reveals why he tends to always take a positive approach to the most unwanted circumstances. Plus, Bragga describes how the food at home is counteracting his workout routine during the stay-at home order.
The Rice Owls women's basketball team are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the 1st time in 14 years. They won their 1st ever C-USA Tourney Championship & they've rattled off 21 games in a row. Richard Ashcroft - Thats when I feel it. Ed Sheeran - Shape of you. Amy Winehouse - Tears dry on their own (original version). Jamiroquai - Cosmic girl. Sigrid - Dont feel like crying.
Robbie Robertson - Somewhere down the crazy river. Fugees - Fuu-gee-la. Moses Hightower - Ellismellur. Sycamore Tree - Don't let go. Fleetwood Mac - Gypsy. Elísabet Ormslev - Let me go (do you love me). Mumford and sons - Guiding light.
Baseball is easy – score more runs than your opponent and you win. But there is a recipe for building your offense and we connected with two coaches who have consistently placed their programs at the top of offensive columns: Matt Bragga, head coach at Tennessee Tech University and Tom Eller, head coach at Harford Community College. Both coaches are having tremendous seasons so far. Bragga’s offense is ranked first nationally in multiple categories including 11.5 runs per game. Eller’s leads the country with 194 stolen bases and also walks. Inside this show, we pull back the curtain on what truly goes on inside the cages and batting practice, the inner details of what’s being taught and the language that drives each unique culture. We also explore constructing a lineup, which is different for both coaches, plus the statistics that they pay attention to that provide the true glimpse into who is producing inside their offensive group. This is yet another ‘take feverish notes’ episode as both Bragga and Eller offer up drills, ideas, concepts and specific batting practice routines and competitive situational routines that should find their way into your practice plans.

It’s been a year since the gang has been together. Big Baby’s got a job lined up for the Corona Sprinter, but Bragga’s using this opportunity to pitch a new business opportunity…
Welcome to the end of this story of the crew of the Sunrunner. This full-length episode includes the final confrontation with the crew’s foes, as well as our post-campaign debrief. We hope you enjoy it, and we look forward to offering you Bragga’s Brews on a monthly basis, going forward. Thank you.
The crew starts to find out what’s going on inside the area, for real. The flashbacks fill in some more backstory, including why Bragga’s not cool.
The crew venture deeper into the ruins of the Palace ne Jedi Temple. Bragga is able to think less, while Jeff, Talcott, and Tracy all find uses for their respective degree choices.
the crew tries to rescue Bragga from the two factions that want him for very different reasons. We find out what happened to SNES.
Bragga goes looking for SNES and the rest of the crew ends up caught short by two warring factions in the temple. It’s a shorter episode, so that makes sense. This should be the last of the poor quality audio. Thanks for putting up with it. And, as the announcer says at the end, the […]
The crew hits the bottle (episode) again as they travel to Couruscant. Plans are planned and we learn about Bragga’s new ringtone, and the crew’s new social media presence.
The Crew has a conversation. It’s tough to figure out what to do next, but someone from Bragga’s past helps make the choice clearer.
Lucky number 13 isn’t so lucky for Bragga and Snes. It’s time for someone to leave the crew, permanently.
We've got a long overdue interview with a Director of Baseball Operations. We're seeing this position pop up more and more — and not just in D1 baseball. Seems the idea is really catching on. [...]
