Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says the coronavirus pandemic never scared him ... because he survived a time in his life when he was snorting illicit drugs off toilet seats! The Health and Human Services Secretary was on Theo Von's podcast when he explained why he felt the need to go to 12-step meetings in person every day during the pandemic. The Department of Justice (DOJ) released the latest batch of files from the criminal investigations into the late financier and convicted sex offender on Friday, Jan. 30, and an email exchange in the more than 3 million files confirms that Epstein and longtime associate Maxwell went “hunting” for dinosaur fossils with Kennedy. As for Grok’s take on nutrition, its answers do indeed get real. In short, Grok indicates that Kennedy’s new nutrition guidelines are not based on high-quality evidence—which is true—and that Kennedy is not a reliable source of nutrition information. As we move deeper into 2026, one question continues to dominate conversations across East Tennessee: are interest rates or home prices having the bigger impact on today's buyers and sellers? With rates fluctuating and home values holding steady in many areas, understanding how these two forces work together is critical. Should buyers wait? Should sellers adjust pricing strategies? And how do you make the smartest move in this market? On this week's episode of Real Estate with Ryan, Ryan Coleman breaks down how interest rates and home prices are shaping the 2026 market — and what it means for you right here in East Tennessee. If you're planning to buy, sell, or refinance, this is an episode you don't want to miss.
Authorities in Sanger say adults who encouraged students to leave campus during recent protests could face legal consequences. The warning follows a Clovis demonstration where volunteers said they were simply trying to help students who walked out over ICE-related concerns. Police argue that outside adults interfering with school operations poses safety risks, while supporters insist they were offering guidance—not incitement. President Donald Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin are moving to revoke earlier federal findings that classified greenhouse gases as a public‑health threat. The change could shape fuel‑efficiency rules for cars—including requirements that pushed automakers to adopt stop‑start systems designed to cut idling emissions. The shift could also influence efficiency standards for showers, toilets, and household appliances. Supporters frame it as regulatory relief, while critics warn it risks higher emissions and slower innovation.
