The wisdom of mother's and their invaluable support to our music. In 'Talking Flutes' this week, and timed around 'Mother's Day' here in the UK (14th March), Clare speaks about the love and support her own mother gave her when she was a student and also when she too became a mother herself. How rice cakes and ginger biscuits were her staple diet when she was pregnant through to her conviction to pass on the same invaluable support and positivity to her own children that her mother gave her. 'Talking Flutes' and 'Talking Flutes Extra' are podcast productions by the TJ flute company. For more information visit www.trevorjamesflutes.com

Celebrating Mother's Day during a pandemic might look differently this year. You might not be able to hug and squeeze them, but that doesn't mean you still can't celebrate them by sending warm wishes. Mother's Day is challenging for me since I lost my mother almost 10-years ago. But just because she is not alive, doesn't mean I can't still connect to her and honor her. Enjoy this guided meditation as a way to celebrate and honor the maternal figures in your life.

Dr Deb asked her Facebook friends for words of wisdom that they remember from growing up and this is the program that evolved. Our roots of wisdom run deep from the women in our past. Enjoy!
Not only are Michele Thomas and Randa Olesky best friends, but they are also, in their words, "moms-in-law". Meaning, Randa's son, Stephen, is married to Michele's daughter Lindsay. Their story of how two large loving families connected is completely unique. On this episode of Still With You we celebrate Mother's Day with the the belief that one does not have to have had a child to be honored on this holiday. I am firm believer that mentors, teachers, leaders, even friends, carry the qualities mothers have in of caring for one another. After working alongside Michele and Randa for the past two years I have witnessed their genuine compassion for children and love for friends, even outside of their own families. They both have been a influential mothering voice to me and are close friends that I admire so much. Their is no one I would have rather sat down over brunch with to talk about this subject of mothering than these two incredibly strong women. Their words are full of wisdom and the stories they share in this episode will break and also bless your heart. Often the most memorable moments have sides of beauty and pain. They both agreed that the best way to be a great mom, is to let God lead.Official show notes available atwww.kohliebrowning.com Music, “Soaring” by Kristie Masing@kristiemasingwww.kristiemasing.com Ad music: "Lost Time" by Eveningland

Celebrating Mother's Day, Olympian style, Dimity (standing in for for host Sarah) and co-host Tish Hamilton connect with cross-country skier Kikkan Randall, the only mother on the 2018 U.S. Winter Olympic team—and, along with teammate Jessie Diggins, the first American woman ever to win an Olympic gold cross-country skiing. The trio first hits Kikkan's background as a runner (and her nearly sub-five-minute mile in high school!) and her transition to—and rapid ascent as a top world competitor on—the snow. We discuss her 20-year (!) Olympic career, and the long-term perspective she took—especially helpful when she missed her 2014 Olympic goal by .05 seconds. Along the way, you'll learn what a "make-it-count" workout with her mom is; you'll get goosebumps as you hear her talk through her Olympic gold medal race; and realize that even though she has recently retired, she'll always be Fast and Female. Kikkan is introduced at 21:23. In the introduction, Dimity + Tish talk Mother's Day plans (or lack thereof), the upcoming swim team seasons for their kiddos, and why a Mother's Day coupon for ice cream will never go out of style. We wonder...should pregnant, first-time moms celebrate Mother's Day?
Welcome to a special Mother’s Day Episode of ProfitBoss Radio! I reached out to some friends who happen to be women, who happen to be business owners, who happen also to be mothers to ask them a few questions about motherhood. I admire each of these ladies more than words can express, and I felt very honored to have the chance to talk about motherhood and money matters. I was absolutely blown away by their responses, and I’ll admit I was a bit choked up throughout these interviews. Today’s contributors are Emylee Williams, Courtney Townley, Amber Vilhauer, Jessica Rhodes, and Amber De La Garza. In this episode, you can expect honest answers and amazing advice from working moms who care about their families’ futures. All of these women are alike in that they prioritize time with their kids, and want to include them in experiences that will build a healthy money mindset. Here’s to all the Mothers out there who love selflessly and teach fearlessly! What You Will Learn In This Episode What motherhood means to me, my business, and my worldview. How we as mothers have the ability to shape our children’s lives and empower them to take ownership of their actions. Schedule time with your kids! I haven’t quite figured out how to teach my daughter about money! Emylee shares how being a small business owner and entrepreneur impacts the legacy she wants to leave for her daughter. Why Emylee didn’t fit inside the typical Working Mom box. Strong women create strong women. Courtney shares how taking care of women through her business and taking care of her son go hand in hand. Why Courtney dances with her son every day. Amber is learning so much about the world and about her business because of the sacrifices she made for her son. Amber wants her son to know she is present. Jessica attributes work-life balance to being more present with her children. All the moms agree that keeping their children in the loop with finances is extra important! Amber invited her son to answer my questions too! Involve your kids in your business.
