Well, it's the penultimate episode of Cephalon Squared, and not only are we continuing our Endgame discussion with Melee weapons this week, but we also bring you our thoughts on Devstream 156! Bonus! Stick around for the big finale in a couple of weeks (and note that we may record from time to time after big announcements/releases).
With only a few short weeks until TennoCon, this week we were treated to a final Devstream before the big show! From now, the team will go internal to work on what they plan to show off, but before then, there's still plenty to be excited about, such as an upciming weapons rework, and the Sisters of Parvos release...

Huzzah - another Devstream week, and this one was jam-packed with goodies to unpack. None of which is expected within the month of May (sorry folks), but all of which looks like a great deal of fun. Things to look forward to! Anyway, join us as we discuss everything that was shown off, and more! https://www.cephalonsquared.com/
Hey, Hey! End of the month, time for a new Devstream, and you know what that means? Yep, our little Warframe Podcast is gonna follow that right up! This week's Devstream was exactly what was expected, and not much more - a little detail on what we should expect to see in April. But a whole bunch of stuff was shown off, and a truckload of player questions answered, so it was well worth the wait. https://www.cephalonsquared.com/
It was Devstream week, and you know what that means? Yep, Cephalon Squared was all over it! This week was full of all sorts of details - upcoming content, Sevagoth, and much much more, alongside a bunch of nerfs and fixes set to come down the pipeline... There was a lot to talk about, so jump in and have a listen! https://www.cephalonsquared.com/
Almost 2 months in to 2021 already - can you believe it? Well, next week brings a new Devstream, so get excited! This week, though, saw an error in the Nightwave rewards, which meant that players could get their hands on an Arcane Helmet, which haven't been seen in-game for several years now. As a result, we decided it was a good discussion topic - to help new players understand where they fit into the game and discuss whether or not they are still worthwhile! Join us! https://www.cephalonsquared.com/
The first Devstream of 2021 has come and gone. We were hoping to hear about what's soon to be coming down the pipeline. Were we pleasantly surprised? Yes, actually! Have a listen to find out why! https://www.cephalonsquared.com/
It's been a busy week for one and all, not the least of which being the very last Devstream for 2020! DE finished off the year by showing off certain aspects of a new Operation that was released only days later, plus some big teases for major new content set to hit early in 2021. And it's all really good stuff. Get your good headphones for this one, Tenno. https://www.cephalonsquared.com/
As the days tick down inexorably towards the end of 2020, Warframe continues, unabated. This week saw the streaming of another Home Devstream for the year - another one filmed from home, marking more time spent developing such a hefty title as Warframe from the confines and restrictions of the home environment. But as Home Devstream #9 has shown us, 2020 isn't quite over yet - DE still has some plans up their sleeves. Of course, the major expansion that many were hoping for - namely the Corpus Railjack and Lich system expansions - have been pushed back into 2021, which is probably a blessing. That said, there's still content to be excited for, and at least one final Devstream, before the year's end. So join us as we discuss what was shown off on what was actually a sound team focused stream - and there was plenty to enjoy here. https://www.cephalonsquared.com/
If you've read the title, then you'll already know that there was a Devstream this week. However, what you won't know is that it was MASSIVE. Absolutely chock full of incredible news and updates on new content coming to Warframe. Of course, Deimos Arcana isn't too far away, but there were some teases for content coming after as well... While it may not be coming soon, it's all really good stuff, and we are pumped for the new year - as well as what's still to come for 2020!
While it wasn't a Devstream week, there was a bunch of news to keep us busy, not the least of which being the release of the final episode of Series 3 of Nightwave! As always, this came with a new boss fight - a very interesting boss fight that had a lot of people talking - for better or worse. As a result, we chose to discuss his Series of Nightwave, and provide our thoughts on that particular boss fight... Along with all the usual fun and games! Join us! (Beginner Topic: Relics & Prime Parts; Advanced: Mod spotlight - Preparation)
It's been a few weeks since the last Devstream, and - perhaps more importantly - there are only 11 weeks left in 2020! On one hand... thank whatever deity it is that you believe in, but on the other... well, there's not much time left in the year, and we don't quite know what's going on within this game that we love so dearly. Well, DE has come to the rescue with Home Devstream #7. While we still don't know if we should expect any large drops before the end of the year, we do know there are several things coming to the game over the next few weeks, and that's fantastic. So join the Cephalons as we pull apart everything that was presented during the stream.
There was a secret Devstream this week! Well, OK, it wasn't secret, we just didn't know about it until it happened. It was, as usual, full of good info on both the state of the game, and upcoming changes. Plus, there was a lot of useful info in regards to how people are using the Helminth! We went deep into the data, so check it out if you want to know more about that system. That does, of course, mean that we don't have beginner and advanced topics this week, but we do have all the usual fun, games, and banter. Check it out.
From quiet weeks to DOUBLE DISCUSSIONS! Yes, this week, not only are we covering the new Heart of Deimos release, but there was also a Home Devstream! While it was a shorted Devstream, there was still plenty of good info to cover, so we talked about both... And we certainly do have a lot to say - Heart of Deimos is a great update.
Unlike recent weeks, there was a bit of news to cover this week, as well as an impromptu Home Devstream that provided some details on the forthcoming "Steel Path" addition to Warframe. As this was not a standard Devstream (it was mostly focused on one thing) we decided to cover the Steel Path as one of two discussion topics - the other being a playable derelict we recently found in the Veil Proxima... They are both great discussions - we'd love to hear your thoughts. (Beginner topic: Essential mods for beginners; Advanced: Amalgam Javlok Magazine Warp)
Yeah! Another Devstream, and this one went into great detail as to what we should be expecting from the new major update, The Deadlock Protocol! Sadly, though, this is likely the last Devstream before TennoCon... but then again, that means TennoCon isn't so far away! Yay! And just so you know up front... we didn't neglect you this week. Beginner and Advanced Topics are BACK.
Another week, another Warframe podcast from Cephalon Squared! And even better? There was another Home Devstream this weekend, so the trusty Cephalons had plenty to chat about (and yes, this means no beginner and advanced topics this week). There's lots of good stuff in the works, although some of the larger projects have hit delays due to COVID-19. That's to be expected! Overall, a pretty good Devstream (and an even better episode of Cephalon Squared? maybe).
A few weeks without a Devstream... and DE drops a new one on us. This time around, the regular merry crew all join (from their home offices, of course), but the amount of content shown off was incredible. It touches on a bunch of stuff that yet to come to the game, most of which is coming very soon, but also on what the team is doing to address current criticisms (to a degree). An absolutely fantastic Devstream this one - we had a good chat about everything - hence we had to forgo the beginner and advanced tips once again this week (and it was still one of our longest episodes).
With the Devstream on hiatus for yet another week, the Cephalons looked to the community to help build this week's episode. We've got an in-depth discussion with Community Guest Star Dylan Braun in regard to burnout (among many other things), plus a whole bunch of community-driven questions and feedback towards the end. (Beginner Topic: pickups; Advanced Topic: Advanced Maneuvers)
The team at Digital Extremes did their best to ensure there was a Devstream this week, even though they are all in lockdown at home. While it wasn't as structured as regular Devstreams, there was still plenty of good info presented. This week, the Cephalons discuss this info in detail, and also provide their impressions of Scarlet Spear in a double Discussion episode!
Coronavirus isn't slowing down the Devstreams, that's for sure! This week saw a whole bunch of in-game assets shown off - some of which we are very much looking forward to. Not the least of which was a live demo of the upcoming Operation: Scarlett Spear. Listen on to hear our thoughts about this soon-to-be-released event. Sadly, though, TennoCon will only be digital this year, and the team will be working from home, so the virus is affecting the team somewhat. Give them a cheer on your favourite social network to spur them along!
There was another Devstream this week, and - unlike previous Devstreams - this one wasn't just about some upcoming new content coming to Warframe... Nope - this one was actually about fixing some of the stuff that needed to be addressed! Everyone was kind of blindsided by this one - I don't think anybody really expected it. And the changes coming to the game are MASSIVE. Much of what was discussed on the Devstream will be highly transformative, so look forward to it - I know we are! I definitely recommend tuning in this week - there's so much to talk about.
New Year, New Logo - same old Cephalon Squared! Yes, this week we have a gorgeous new podcast logo, which also means a sexy new emblem for clan members in-game, and, one day... a glyph! Slowly, slowly, good people. Thank you so much to Debby Sheen (@debbysheen_ on Twitter) for her fantastic work - we are blown away by it. And not only that, but we were blown away by this week's Devstream as well! It was a little different, but the team showed off a bunch of new stuff, plus there were some very worthwhile announcements... Check it out...
Another Devstream, and so another episode chock full of info on upcoming updates to Warframe. The team at DE really went above and beyond this time, with a bunch of rapid-fire announcements and demonstrations one after another. It was a great Devstream, and definitely worth checking in on. If you want to hear our thoughts on what was shown off - have a listen! We had a great old chat this week, plus we covered some great topics with our beginner and advanced tips.
The team is well and truly back for 2020 - not only has there been a bunch of hotfixes released for PC, but the team got together for the first Devstream of 2020, followed by a 3-hour celebration! It was quite a time (that we were unable to watch in full), but of course we have an overview of the Devstream for you!
With the end of the year looming, Digital Extremes took to the iknterwebs for one last Devstream to close out the year. Devstream was light on any major news, but heavy on acknowledging player feedback. This Devstream was mainly a deep dive into Empyrean and what ti took to get the new expansion released onto (almost) every platform prior to Christmas. With the team now on holidays, expect a quiet couple of weeks, but we'll stil be here talking all things Warframe!
It's getting very close to the end of the year, so DE has pulled out all stops for Empyrean, showing off a lengthy demo in Devstream 134. Is it worth watching? You bet your dirty bum, it is. As a result, this episode involves the Cephalons discussing everything they saw in the demo in detail, and basically fawning over what is essentially Warframe 2.0. And better than that? DE indicated it's likely to hit PC prior to Xmas. Good times indeed.
Well, there was no Devstream this week, but we didn't want to leave our listeners wanting more... So we went out and scored an awesome interview! If you missed our interview with Sheryl Mebane (the voice of Nora Night) earlier this year, check it out... And then follow it up with this one, in which we interview Lucas Schuneman, who voices such fan favourites as Nef Anyo and Tyl Regor, and a lot more besides Warframe! This interview was a lot of fun, and we encourage you to actively seek out his work.
Wow - what a week! First, console players were looking forward to The Old Blood hitting their platform, while the community as a whole was hoping for more information on Empyrean in this week's Devstream. Not to disappoint the community, DE did one better and dropped the first update for the expansion on PC players! So this week, we have a LOT to talk about - not only do we need to go over the Devstream itself, but we also need to talk about The Old Blood on console and Rising Tide on PC, among all of the usual banter and topics! Get excited, Tenno!
Another week goes by in the world of Warframe, and yet again, there was no Devstream... HOWEVER, The Old Blood has gone to certification on all console platforms, so that's a good thing! It certainly makes me think, though - perhaps DE is delaying the next Devstream because they don't want to jump the gun on the next update before console players have even got their hands on the last one? Kind of feels that way... We can only hope - and with only 6 weeks left in the year, there certainly isn't much time left for DE to deliver on the remaining promises... In addition, we've got our Beginner topic (the Market) and our Advanced topic (Parazon mods, p1: Hacking mods)!
Slow news week... Wait - no it wasn't! There was a Devstream this week, and the first Devstream in a while that was REALLY worth being excited about. Don't miss this one - or if you do, go watch the Devstream. Then come back and listen to us, because we miss you.
After about 6 long weeks of waiting, DE has at last been able to sit down to present another Devstream. In Devstream 131, the team mainly took us through what is expected in the next mainline update, which is due later this month. They did touch a little on larger subjects as well if you are after any more info on Empyrean or The New War! But not much... Still, it was a worthy Devstream, and the next update looks to be pretty good overall, especially as it will come along with a Halloween event! Have a listen to find out the juicy details.
With half the team still off on vacation following Tokyo Game Show, it was another quiet week. So we've got a nice, stress-free (for the most part) episode for you this week! We are expecting a Devstream next week (or should I say we are hoping for one?), so we decided to give our predictions for what's to come to Warframe for the rest of 2019!
In Episode 57, your Cephalons discuss the recent Devstream 130, in which DE showed off Gauss and Grendel, plus some more info on Railjack, Nightwave, and the Disruption game mode. There's a lot of good info here - don't miss out! (Beginner topic: Pains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis, Advanced Topic: Health Regen)
It's officially a year since we began this journey, and Megan Everett ([DE]Megan) from Digital Extremes joined us in celebration! We had an absolute blast - Megan wasvery pleasant to chat with! We may have gone on a bit long... Or maybe it's because we had to cover Devstream 129 this week as well? Whatever the reason, butckle up - it's long, but it's good. Promise.
Well... Another day, another Devstream. Yep - another AWESOME Devstream full of AWESOME things! This was quite the exciting one actually - if you look at what was shown off, it probablywasn't the "busiest" Devstream, but hot damn - DE dropped some smashing artwork on us and we are lost for words. Beginner topic this week: modding for beginners Advanced topic: the combo meter
With no Devstream this week, the Cephalons decided to throw a party - a modding party! Yes,it's a modding Special this week, with a focus on early to mid game to help players out there better understand mods. More than that, though, advanced players can get involved in the discussion - are mods getting out of hand? In addition, the guys have something to say about the future of Cephlaon Squared - get this episode in your ears to find out what that entails.
After a few weeks of awesome interviews, we're back with another Devstream! DE tried to cram as much as possible into this one, so there's quite a lot to cover. Of course, in addition to this major discussion, we also provide beginner (Mastery Tests) and Advanced (Adaptation mod) tips and this week, we also launch a new segment - Dr Cephalon!
There was a lot to talk about this week, with the release of the Plains of Eidolon Remaster, and Devstream 126. It just keeps looking like 2019 is going to be huge for Warframe, and we can't wait. Beginner topic: quick Platinum for beginners; Advanced topic: Focus Schools p3, Unairu.
With no Devstream and no interviews, the Cephalons decided to have a chat about the grind, with particular reference to The Orb Vallis and The Plains of Eidolon. Which do we think is better/more fun? You'll have to listen to find out! And as always - there's lots more besides! (Beginner topic: resources for beginners; Advanced topic: Focus - Naramon)
Warframe! In episode 35, we go over the latest Devstream, and some of what was announced to be coming to the game in the future. In addition, we have a couple of minor announcements and a few good laughs. Beginner topic: Warframe Etiquette; Advanced: Focus Trees. Have a listen!
This week your Cephalons discuss the latest news that came out of Devstream 124 - and there was a lot to cover! In fact, it's looking like March is going to be a good time to play Warframe (for PC players, at the very least). Beginner topic: loadouts and configs. Advanced topic: Tenno Hunters, pt 4...
We hit 30 main episodes! On top of this milestone, we also get to discuss Devstream 123, in which DE dropped a whole bunch of cool stuff on us! Beginner topic: farming; Advanced topic: Stealth
We were expecting a Devstream this week, but as it was postponed, we decided to do another special episode - this time around, we take a look at all things Cland and Dojo related! Oh, and Lucas also has some Secondary Passives to cover.
Wow - this is not one to miss. DE surprised us all with a 2019 roadmap on the very first Devstream of 2019, and the content that's coming is phenomenal. Check it out and get hype! (Plus - beginner topic: captura; advanced topic: weapon passives)
This week saw the final Devstream of 2018, with a whole bunch of player stats for the year, and a general look into the future. Our beginner topic looks at Riven mods, and we continue on to part 4 of our ongoing look at Drift mods! Check it out!
In this week's Warframe news, Devstream 120 happened. We discuss Fortuna Pt2, Baruuk, Mesa Prime, and all the other wonderful things shown via DEs stream. Beginner's topic: Spectres; Advanced topic: Drift mods, pt2 - Coaction Drift.
In the latest episode of Cephalon Squared, Greg and Lucas discuss Devstream 119 - among a whole bunch of other things. Beginner's topic: what we wish we knew when we started, P1; Advanced topic: Helminth Charger.
Well. We knew Devstream 118 was going to be awesome, but not only did we get an introduction to Garuda, but we had a closer look at Moa companions, and DE finally gave us a release window for the PC version of Fortuna. You'd be silly to miss this one!
In this week's Mini Modding Special, we're looking at modding Sniper Rifles! This is intended for newer and mid-game players, but let us know your thoughts. We'll see you in a couple of days for Episode 14, in which we'll cover Devstream 118!
In this elepisode, we covered the eclectic Devstream 117 and look forward to the future of Warframe. Beginner topic: Quest order and optional quests; Advanced: Silver Grove, pt 3.
In this week's episode, CG&CL talk about some changes that come to PC and Console this week, as well as Devstream 116! Beginner's topic: early game progression (missions and enemy level); Advanced topic: farming the Silver Grove!
In this week's episode, listen to us as we discuss all the good things shown off in Devstream 115 - and there were many good things. We also cover secrets and collectibles, and Lucas' advanced tip looks at the mods Fleeting Expertise and Transient Fortitude. Definitely not one to miss!
In this week's episode, we discuss the latest Devstream covering Melee 3.0, along with our beginner and advanced tips.
This week we discuss the updated Road Map for Destiny 2 in 2018. A new summer event is coming to Destiny 2 plus prestige mode for both Eater of Worlds & Spire of Stars Raid Lairs. The TWAB gives a review of the investment economy in Warmind currently with some changes coming to Escalation Protocol item drop rates. E3 2018 is right around the corner, we'll review the games and content we hope to see there. The Black Ops 4 reveal event happened this last week, and in Warframe news Devstream 111 occurred. We are now just a little over a month away from Tennocon 2018. Thanks for listening to this week’s show.
