It had been a while since the Cephalons last spoke about Warframe, so they decided to do it again - for old times' sake. This special, once-off episode covers what the Cephalons have been getting up to over the last couple of years, as well as their thoughts on the major Warframe updates since the last episode...

After 150 main episodes spanning a period of 3 years and 2 months, Cephalon Squared's Warframe podcast is finally coming to an end. In this final episode, the Cephalons discuss endgame warfames and companions, based on feedback from their Discord community, followed by heartfelt thank yous as the show winds down. While there wasn't a whole lot of news on the Warframe front this time around, it's an important episode for Cephalon Squared news. We encourage you to listen. For Warframe players, TennoCon is the best time of year -- it's like Christmas. It's when we all get together to share our love of the game and see what big things are next in store fr us. And this year was no different, except maybe that the two things that were shown off were maybe the most anticipated pieces of Warframe content ever. So that's a thing. Finally, the Sisters of Parvos update has seen fit to grace our servers, and what an update it is. Not only does it bring the Sisters themselves, and a whole raft of weapons, but there's a brand new Warframe in there and a major weapon rebalance. Coming in only a couple of days later than DE had suggested, the weapons workshop hit, and brought with it some other workshop announcements - changes are also incoming for the Parazon and Helminth Abilities. There was a lot to go over, but hopefully we can help clarify all of the changes that are coming. With only a few short weeks until TennoCon, this week we were treated to a final Devstream before the big show! We are so close to the end of the year now, and while we do know there will be some new content coming to Warframe before the year is up, we also know that things are starting to go very very quiet... So we're cracking out the specials! It's been a while since we did an episode like this, but this whole episode is dedicated to talking about... Eidolons! With particular focus on how to fight the Teralyst for absolute beginners. As the days tick down inexorably towards the end of 2020, Warframe continues, unabated. This week saw the streaming of another Home Devstream for the year - another one filmed from home, marking more time spent developing such a hefty title as Warframe from the confines and restrictions of the home environment. But as Home Devstream #9 has shown us, 2020 isn't quite over yet - DE still has some plans up their sleeves. Of course, the major expansion that many were hoping for - namely the Corpus Railjack and Lich system expansions - have been pushed back into 2021, which is probably a blessing. That said, there's still content to be excited for, and at least one final Devstream, before the year's end. If you've read the title, then you'll already know that there was a Devstream this week. However, what you won't know is that it was MASSIVE. While it wasn't a Devstream week, there was a bunch of news to keep us busy, not the least of which being the release of the final episode of Series 3 of Nightwave! With just over 10 weeks left in 2020, the Cephalons decided to have a chat about the three things we know are coming to Warframe players within 2020 - Nights of Naberus, the completion of the current Nightwave series, and Deimos Arcana. It's been a few weeks since the last Devstream, and - perhaps more importantly - there are only 11 weeks left in 2020! On one hand... thank whatever deity it is that you believe in, but on the other... well, there's not much time left in the year, and we don't quite know what's going on within this game that we love so dearly. Well, DE has come to the rescue with Home Devstream #7. While we still don't know if we should expect any large drops before the end of the year, we do know there are several things coming to the game over the next few weeks, and that's fantastic. Given there was another down week between Devstreams, the Cephalons decided to have a discussion around a recent change to Mag's Magnetise Ability. As this was slightly tweaked in order to make it even better, the discussion was expanded to look at a bunch of other older Warframes and some of their... less popular Abilities. We've had some interesting chats in our Discord of late, as well as a few questions that made us think. One of them boiled down to whether or not companions are worth your time, effort and resources. The answer is, of course, yes, they are! But why? The Cephalons take the time to address this, going over all the different types of companions available to you. Plus, of course, there are our regular segments, including Beginner (Mining) and Advanced (Carnis mod set) topics... So what are you waiting for?

There was a secret Devstream this week! Well, OK, it wasn't secret, we just didn't know about it until it happened. It was, as usual, full of good info on both the state of the game, and upcoming changes. Plus, there was a lot of useful info in regards to how people are using the Helminth! We went deep into the data, so check it out if you want to know more about that system. That does, of course, mean that we don't have beginner and advanced topics this week, but we do have all the usual fun, games, and banter. Check it out.

Warframe is not for the faint of heart - there is so much content within that many players would pale in the face of its complexity. But, as most fans would know, come to understand that complexity and there is a wealth of fun to explore at your own leisure. However, this can be a double-edged sword - without a level of simplicity and approachability for new players, some may find Warframe far too confusing and overwhelming in what it has to offer. With Railjack and a third open-world recently added to an already hugely complex game, is Warframe verging on alienating new players by way of feature creep? In this episode, we take a light-hearted look at this topic, among all of our regular shenanigans, including beginner and advanced topics!

A quiet week in terms of news, as the team at DE looks towards hotfixes - plus, there was a long weekend in Canada. This gives us a good opportunity to review our opinions on Heart of Deimos, now that we've had a good go at it. Unsurprisingly, we're still having fun, but there are a few things that are beginning to annoy us here and there... Oh, and we start giving tips on Heart of Deimos content!

From quiet weeks to DOUBLE DISCUSSIONS! Yes, this week, not only are we covering the new Heart of Deimos release, but there was also a Home Devstream! While it was a shorted Devstream, there was still plenty of good info to cover, so we talked about both... And we certainly do have a lot to say - Heart of Deimos is a great update.

We're getting very excited now! Only a few more days to wait until Heart of Deimos hits ALL platforms. It's a great time to be playing Warframe - and as of the 25th, it's also a great time to start playing, as there will be a whole new introduction and tutorial! Anyway, TennoGen Round 19 was announced this week, so we decided to try something new - which we are calling TennoGen Runway. With just over a week and a half left until the release of Heart of Deimos, every Warframe fan worth their salt is thinking hard about what the new Helminth System will mean for the state of Warframe moving int the future. As luck woul;d have it, DE dropped their Developer's Workshop post in regards to this topic, so the Cephalons spend an entire episode going over every single Ability that has been confirmed. Buckle up - it's long and it's bumpy, but it's good! Promise!

Heart of Deimos represents a new direction for Warframe in a number of ways - from new contraptions that the player can build and utilise, to a whole new system of customisation. We decided to take a look at this through the lens of the future - what do these new additions suggest in the way of change? And what else do we hope comes out of this? Another year, another TennoCon! This year was a little different, with the team stuck in lockdown at home, it's not so easy to develop a large-scale video game like Warframe. Nor is it easy to put on a fan conference. But I'd have to say, with TennoCon 2020, Digital Extremes has smashed it out of the park. Unlike recent weeks, there was a bit of news to cover this week, as well as an impromptu Home Devstream that provided some details on the forthcoming "Steel Path" addition to Warframe. As this was not a standard Devstream (it was mostly focused on one thing) we decided to cover the Steel Path as one of two discussion topics - the other being a playable derelict we recently found in the Veil Proxima...
