CGMagazine is back this week with The Pixels & Ink Podcast Episode 432, and we are switching things up! This episode is all about conventions! After returning from Lucca, Italy, for Lucca Comics & Games, Dayna and Brendan reflect on the event, and it inspires a conversation about conventions as a whole. Brendan, Dayna, Chris and Jordan then discuss their first conventions, like Niagara Falls Comic Con, Anime North and more. The team has also been to some less-than-conventional conventions, but we will let you listen to find out which ones! The cast rounds out the podcast with some of their dream conventions, like PAX West, Tokyo Game Show, gamescom and discusses some of their favourite convention moments like interactions with the Sons of Anarchy cast, karaoke at Anime North, Star Wars interviews and killer demonstrations at Lucca Comics & Games.

As we quickly approach the CMA's deadline for a decision on Xbox's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, we see another significant stride in the deal. The CMA has conditionally approved the acquisition if particular circumstances can be met on the cloud front. Meanwhile, the console wars trek on and Starfield is in the line of fire as it's now been officially rated as Bethesda's worst "official" release ever. There are caveats and we get into it, but also sift through the legitimate criticisms that have chewed up Starfield just as much. Plus, a decent showing for Xbox at the Tokyo Game Show, Jim Ryan is leaving PlayStation, and the Dukes big bet on Dishonored 3! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

On this week's Video Games 2 the MAX, Sean and Marc discuss the end of an era at PlayStation, as SIE President and CEO announced that he is retiring. We examine his time with the company, what it means for Sony going forward, and if we could see them perhaps take a more consumer-friendly approach with the next SIE CEO. Sean's also been playing the newly released EA Sports FC 24. Does changing the name bring anything different to the long-running, formerly known as FIFA, franchise? Or is this more of the same? Also, is it worth going out and purchasing this one? Especially since the other games have now been delisted? Plus, some news from Tokyo Game Show, is Capcom right that video games should cost more than $70? the Xbox vs. FTC fight continues in-house, other high-profile folks leaving studios, Unity issues yet another walk back, and more! You can also watch this episode on the W2M Network Channel, please give us a like, comment, and follow over there too: https://youtube.com/live/6mvehaHt5V0- Follow on X (Twitter) -Sean on Twitter: https://twitter.com/W2MSeanW2M Network on Twitter: https://twitter.com/w2mnetwork- Other Social Media -Follow us on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@w2mnetwork2Join us on Discord: https://discord.gg/aydMgvUN9dFollow us on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/w2mnetworkFollow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/w2mnetwork/Follow Us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/W2MNetwork

Just when you thought the news couldn't break any harder than it did last week, an avalanche of unredacted Microsoft documents was unleashed onto the gaming public by an oops of epic proportions. We get to see e-mails, concepts for yet to be released consoles, and so much more. We talk about some of the unredacted secrets, but also take a moment to call out some of those in the industry using this to create more clicks for their websites unnecessairly. It's all just another week in the gaming world, and we break it down on another episode of the longest running video game podcast, Orange Lounge Radio! Also in the News: * Unity Retreats Quickly From Last Weeks Guideline Updates * Xbox Tokyo Game Show Announcements * ActiBlizzard + Microsoft Clear Last Potential Hurdle * Nintendo Accounts Supporting Passkey All this and more on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice-- Orange Lounge Radio! Microsoft can't seem to catch a break. The Activision aquisition led to another massive document leak which gives us some insight into Bethesda's future lineup including new entries in the DOOM and Dishonored franchises and some rather shocking assessments about the value of certain games when it comes to Game Pass. We also react to the new gameplay footage for Dragons Dogma 2 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth which dropped this week at the Tokyo Game Show. Of course, the 2023 onslaught of cool games continues as we talk about the likes of Mortal Kombat 1, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew (Mimimi's final game), and the new Separate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4!
