Hope everything is going good for all y'all, and that you had a great Easter.  I'm still out here on the road. I don't get home very often, usually 8 weeks out, home for a week, rinse and repeat.  I've been listening to HGR for over 10 years. In my trucking career, HGR has helped me stay entertained and informed out here on the high road.  To follow up on episode #484, Best & Worst Purchsses, I'd like to contribute my experiences so far. Having purchased over 200+ handguns in the last 20 years, I'm sure I've got a few.  Best Purchases (so far) Recently purchased 3 Smith & Wesson M&Ps for a total of $600. Pictured, top left, my Smith & Wesson M&P 4.25” 9mm. Top right is my Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 5” 9mm, in FDE. And last, but not least, a at the bottom, is my Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 4.6” .45 ACP.   My H&K VP9, 11 mags, with a Holosun Red Dot, for $700. My Dan Wesson DWX Compact for $1,200.    Worst Purchases (so far) Anything that has Taurus in it. From a 9mm PT 24/7, a Taurus Tracker .44 mag, multiple G2Cs and G3Cs, they all malfunctioned in various ways. The Tracker went out of timing in less than one box of ammo. One G2C had a cracked slide after less than a 1k rounds. I'm glad that a lot of people like Taurus, and I'm not trying to brand shame here. I've just had very bad experiences with Taurus' products. I hope that other customers have a much better experience. My Springfield Armory Emissary 1911, 5”, 9mm. Chamber is way too tight. Also has failures to feed when the slide gets hung up during recoil. Beautiful gun, but it's a love/hate thing going there.    Thank you add always for the great HGR episodes. The state of the 2nd isn't good here. Commierado's legislature is again passing more gun control.   I really do wonder if they've ever read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?    In regards to our previous emails, Ryan, I don't have any updates on Tisas USA, as far as their operations go. I did learn some interesting information about theirs new CEO. Are y'all familiar with Classic Firearms on YouTube? Kaya, formerly of Classic Firearms, is more the CEO of Tisas' new US operations.    I'll keep y'all posted as I find out more information.    As for new additions to my growing armory, I recently picked up an H&K VP9 in 9mm. It came with 11 mags, and a Holosun 507…. for $700.    Weerd, could you please suggest a good recipe for whiskey sours? Thanks!   Sincerely, Nate   PS Ryan here's an attachment for something you're in dire need of   Weerd:   Oddball:   David:   Drink Segment:   Old Crow Boubon   Whiskey Sour:  2oz Whiskey (Rye is classic) 1oz Lemon Juice 0.5 Oz Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)   Cinnamon Challah Ingredients 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour 2 eggs and 1 more for egg wash 2  ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet 3 tablespoons brown sugar ⅓  cup olive oil 1 teaspoon salt ⅔  cup warm water Filling ¼ cup canola oil ¾  cup brown sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon Instructions Add the flour, brown sugar, and salt to a mixing bowl. Proof the yeast in the water with a pinch of sugar. Add the yeast, eggs, and oil to the flour. Mix into a dough and knead for 7 minutes or until fully developed. Cover and allow to rise for 1 hour in a warm place. While the dough is rising, make the filling a medium sized bowl. Add the oil, sugar and cinnamon. Mix. Separate the dough into 3 pieces. Roll each one into a square with a rolling pin. Spread the cinnamon-sugar mix on the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch around the edges. Roll each square. Pinch the ends and stretch each strand to about a foot long. Braid them up! Place on a non-stick baking surface and cover for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375°F Brush the challah with beaten egg. Bake for 30 minutes. The LCP I find to be a miserable thing to shoot.  Don't like it.  Specialized for when anything else is too big. In years past I picked up both a Kahr CM40 and CM9.  The .40 is, surprisingly, not horrible to shoot.  Handgunhero shows them as almost exactly the same size (in profile, I know they're thicker) as the LCP. —-------------------------------------------------- Listener G: Howdy, I've been a listener for a while and have participated in a few of these in the past and I really enjoy when yall do them.  What follows is my list of 4 pistols (yes I followed the rules, unlike some of the hosts….). My first is a beautiful Italian race gun that I found out about from LifeSizePotato (praise be upon him). 6” 45acp Pardini GT The next two are from C&Rsenal. And I can't wait till they get fully switched to the new format and resume releasing episodes again. I currently have an Othais and Mae sized hole in my heart. Lancaster 4 barrel  This one is just neat, a neat mechanism and a neat form factor. Frommer Stop in 32acp(frommer) This one is one of favorite guns of all time. Who wouldn't love a small, long recoil pistol. Calico M100 pistol. Lastly is  ‘Space Balls: The gun'  Honestly I want this because I love Mel Brooks movies and  also because I want to have something terrible to point at whenever someone asks me what I spent my winnings on. Just for the sheer pleasure that I would get from the other person's confusion.   P.S. thank yall, I really enjoy y'all's podcast. Also Mr. Beard should probably get some sleep from time to time.    Springfield Armory NHS is high on my list but it may be a bit far for a day trip.
