A top ambulance boss has apologised after a year-long Sky News investigation revealed a culture of sexual abuse and harassment within the ambulance service. On the Sky News Daily, Niall Paterson speaks to Sky correspondent Rachael Venables who has been leading the investigation into abuse patients and staff in the service have faced and what is being done to restore trust in those who care for us. A spokesperson for NHS England said: “Any abuse or violence directed at NHS staff is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated, and the NHS is committed to tackling unwanted, inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviour in the workplace. We have recently introduced new national guidance and training that will help staff recognise, report and act on sexual misconduct at work to stamp out this awful behaviour.”For more on this story click here Producer: Alex Edden Editor: Philly Beaumont

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Bethany is guiding listeners through the final conversation of repentance. Guiding our children through repentance can feel like one of the hardest parts of our role. Some days, it may seem like they resist every nudge toward saying "I'm sorry" or owning up to their mistakes. But leading these conversations isn't just about getting them to say the right words—it's about shaping their hearts and minds to understand the beauty of repentance. Before we can lead our children in repentance, we have to know this truth for ourselves: God's mercy meets us in our mistakes. Every time we fall short, He is there, calling us back to Him, not with condemnation, but with love. More than anything, we need to ask God to help us see our children the way he does—with eyes of grace and understanding. This is why we sit in prayer over their lives. Leading the repentance conversation is more than just teaching our kids how to apologize, it's about helping them understand God's heart. What's up Bro's? We are back with RHOBH and the season is starting to wrap up. We've hit somewhat of a lull with the drama but overall we've enjoyed this season. In this episode, Sutton seems much lighter after leaving a lot of emotional baggage back in Spain. Kyle and Mauricio finally sit down and have a chat... it was awkward to say the least. Erika Jayne still feels as though apologies are owed to her in regard to the earrings/ lawsuits from last year. Some of the women agree, some do not. Annemarie attempts to "smooth things over" with Crystal but neither party seemed all that genuine when they agree to disagree. PK and Dorit seem to still be having communication issues as he is going on day 12 of a trip to London and foregoing Mother's Day because "they don't celebrate it in London". Nice work PK... Carley Varley is genuinely a good person. She worked hard to overcome her own shyness and lack of confidence by taking to the streets and busking. Once she started to achieve success Carley began helping other artists through online sessions on everything from songwriting to preparing your single for release and preserving your voice. On top of this she writes great pop songs!I first met her in 2018 when she was playing in my local pub and I soon booked her for corporate gigs at Carnival UK where I was working. Soon after I signed her up for Gary Barlow's 710 Club This was a new concept venue onboard P&O Cruises' Iona that Gary Barlow' was promoted as curating and my job was to find new singer songwriters to perform there. When Covid struck the project went out of the window but Carley continued to creatively and professionally develop. Her first singles sonically reveal all her early Swift and Sheeran influences coupled with Carley's trademark lyrical honesty. As her sound developed the honesty remained culminating in Envy which is a sophisticated song commenting on her treatment at the hands of a fellow female songwriter backstage at a gig. While Homesick finds her taking advantage of having a full band to rock out with in total teenage house party mode! Carley has an incredible support network from her family and her church. And it was the church that gave her the opportunity to express herself musically in the first place. This support is never taken for granted and I think this is why she is so keen on supporting others. This exposure to working with musicians and learning to understand how music works is one of the foundations for Carley Varley's success, first of all in writing great songs, and then in developing her sound from the acoustic singer songwriter genre into becoming front woman of a rock band. Her songs talk about honest feelings of love, confusion and sometimes rejection. They are never aggressive because Carley has a sense of self and her own morals that is deeply ingrained. What this offers the listener is a reflective and (that word again) honest examination of feelings and emotions. Carley Varley has set herself the joint objectives of headlining festivals and opening a cake shop in the New Forest on England's South Coast. I believe that she will achieve both! However, there is a second part to the ambition which demonstrates the kind of person she is more than anything else: when she talks about the cake shop, Carley says that a key element will be a space for young up and coming acoustic artists to play their music. As she says by helping others with their creativity we develop ourselves. To find out more about Carley Varley use her Linktree:Carley Varley LinktreeSongs Heard In This Episode:Envy - by Carley VarleyWon't Say Sorry by Carley VarleyHomesick by Carley VarleyAll incidental music in the episode was composed and recorded by Jason Ward. Medical errors happen all the time. They can be overlooked or they can lead to big lawsuits and settlements. But what they rarely lead to is an apology. Doctors and hospitals have long responded to medical mistakes with silence. There are many reasons for this approach: fear of legal liability, loss of status, even shame. But increasingly, patients, families, and yes, doctors, are calling for a new approach, one that acknowledges the lasting damage that comes from a failure to address medical mistakes. This week on The Sunday Story, we talk to Tradeoffs health reporters about a family with a nightmarish story of a what they say was a medical error, and a look at what's being done to keep others from suffering in the same way.
