IT'S YOUR TIME TO SHINE, CAPRICORN! Happy New Year! And welcome to season 6 of the podcast! This month's forecast is so good that Susan Miller wants absolutely everyone to know. It's safe to say that Susan is obsessed with January. After a short discussion about the passage of time, Laura and Alex begin the episode with a recap of Susan's January note to her readers. Susan opens with a short description of the spectacular month ahead and a brief health update, but spends most of the note in full Business Woman mode. The gals have never been more convinced that Susan receives kickbacks from Big Fedex. First up is a discussion of Capricorn's forecast, which could not be better. In fact, Laura and Alex can't remember reading such a positive outlook for any sign in years. The planets have partnered up to make sure that the Caps have a birthday to remember. And at the risk of hyperbole, the January 18 new moon should prove to be the greatest thing to happen to anyone ever. Laura then tells her Tauruses about the January horoscope, which is almost as good as the forecast for Capricorn. As always, everything is going great in the tenth house of honors, awards, and achievements. And Laura is very happy to report Susan used one of her greatest turns of phrase to describe Taurus during the February 1 full moon: luckier than a leprechaun! Lastly Alex recaps this month's forecast for Scorpio. It seems that the planets have never gotten along so well, which will lead to a new moon so incredible that, according to Susan, astrologers have been calling each other to marvel at how wonderful it is. Laura and Alex discuss the following at these timestamps: Note from Susan Miller: 3:00Capricorn: 11:00Taurus: 18:50Scorpio: 24:12Share your own thoughts on Susan Miller's Astrology Zone with us by emailing astrologyzoned@gmail.com.Links:Read each episode's transcript at our website: astrologyzoned.comHelp Laura reach the full potential of her Susan Miller legacy by buying her romance novels: http://Lauralovelybooks.com

! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN for this & more Astro News You Can Use! @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops today, January 23!Ok, so we're in the first quarter waxing stage of the Cap New Moon since January 18, that asked us to stand our ground through group strength--since this lunation had not only both luminaries but Mars & ME in Capricorn trine to UR Rx in Taurus. In addition, all of these planets—the MO, SU, Mars, & ME in Cap—were sextile NE & SA in Pisces. These sexiles provided opportunities to take action to stand our ground by drawing lines in the sand, while the trines provided the wind at the backs of groups doing so.Venus entered Aquarius January 17, & as this lunation began to wax after January 18 the Sun & Mercury did likewise this past week. In addition, we witnessed Venus conjoin Pluto, the Sun conjoin Mercury, Mercury conjoin Pluto, & then a Sun/Pluto conjunction all between January 19 & today, January 23.Essentially this has moved these inner planets—so prevalent during their conjunctions to the Capricorn Sun at the January 18 Capricorn New Moon providing the seed of standing our ground was planeted—into the sign of Aquarius now.So, the message of this month's lunar cycle was to hold fast to our foundational humanitarian beliefs—those shared by large groups of others as that lunation since it trined progressive forward thinking Uranus, still retrograde in Taurus, & sextiled Saturn & Neptune in empathic Pisces. As we watch this lunation's seeds begin to sprout at January 25's first quarter waxing square of the Taurus Moon to the Aquarius Sun—as all of these planets have not only shifted into Aquarius but conjoined with Pluto there—we can see what the “crisis in action” phase of the lunar cycle calls us now to do. And that's resist fixed Aquarian idealistic philosophies that have hardened into ideological beliefs that do not serve the masses. With the normally placid, calm, & change resistant Taurus Moon in square to the Aquarius Sun, Mars, Pluto, Vesta, Mercury, & Venus, we've got massive tension brewing. The Taurus Moon wants to protect its resources—including its physical body--& faces resistance now from those who believe that cutting healthcare resources for its citizens & that tossing out all immigrants in a xenophobic fit will make America great again.  As we approach this first quarter monthly lunar phase, the Taurus Moon portends such resistance by citizen groups against those groups who hold such fixed ideologies. For example, those tasked to round up, detain, or even injure or kill anyone who looks or sounds “different” (read: not part of the ideologically-inspired socially acceptable “group”) without abiding by any formerly adhered to legal restraints. This may spark some violent actions—we won't know unless & until it happens—between now and January 27 when Mars conjoins Pluto exact in Aquarius. An aspect that can bring the perpetrator & the victim together in the same place at the same time, Mars/Pluto frictional aspects such as the conjunction can lead to an emotionally volatile & intensely physical kind of energy. An energy where one faction tries to disempower (read: overpower) another. Mars is a physical planet, one that takes action. On one hand martial energy represents motivation, ambition, & self-assertion. On the other, it can go over the top and become overly aggressive, bloodthirsty, vengeful, & violent.Pluto, discovered in 1930 when the U.S. was working on creating the atom bomb, represents explosiveness that can lead to an evolutionary transformation. The Mars/Pluto combo perfecting January 27 portends the possibility of a potentially explosive situation between “victims” & “perpetrators” that might spark a wider conflagration. This may be in evidence as residents begin a massive general strike in Minnesota today. According to Aaron Parnas in The Parnas Perspective: “Hundreds of Minnesota businesses, workers, and students are participating in the “ICE Out! Statewide Shutdown,” an economic blackout urging people to skip work, school, and shopping to protest intensified ICE activity in the Twin Cities—sparked by the Jan. 7 killing of Renee Good by an ICE officer.”“More than 300 businesses [are] or donating proceeds, [with] some schools offering remote learning, and organizers framing the action as a nonviolent show of solidarity with immigrant communities despite major financial losses,” he adds. It's called “civil unrest.” It's happened before in this nation. And it will happen again. The results of such actions remain to be seen, but as Martin Luther King—who's memory we just celebrated this past week—said: "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." NEPTUNE RE-ENTERS MARTIAL ARIES JANUARY 27: DISSOLUTION & RECONSTRUCTION?That brings us to the fact that Neptune re-enters the Mars-ruled sign of Aries on January 27. When Neptune entered Aries for the first time in 165 years on March 30, 2025, it conjured up the recurrence of the start of the U.S. Civil War which began the day before Neptune's ingress into the sign of war on April 12, 1861.Saturn follows suit & re-enters Aries February 13, & then conjoins exact with Neptune at 0'45” Aries on February 20. This combination heralds a whole bunch of things, but as these two planets have traveled closely together since last spring, we've clearly seen the dissolution (Neptune) of foundational structure (Saturn), as well as the dissolution of the rules of war (Aries.)That's been obvious since last September when the U.S. began bombing small boats in the Caribbean & the Pacific with no proof that they were carrying drugs headed for the U.S. Hence, it was a violation of international maritime law when shipwrecked survivors were then killed in follow up strikes—rather than captured & interrogated, as per—again—established international maritime law. We've seen the dissolution of U.S. Government structures since the second term of President Trump--one of the most “us versus them” vengeful people hell bent on retribution against anyone who called him on his illegal activities including inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.As this Saturn/Neptune in Aries takes greater hold, we also know that it's heralded the downfall of nations in the past. In 1989, this planetary conjunction was followed by the fall of the Berlin Wall & the decimation of the U.S.S.R. Now, whether it does the same in Iran—or here in America eventually—also remains to be seen. What we do know, however, is that Saturn/Neptune cycle has major implications for the next 36 or so years. Meanwhile Neptune's 14-year transit through a sign means it will remain in Aries until 2038.However, faster moving Saturn transits each sign for approximately 2.5 years. Given that these two will conjoin close to the U.S. natal Sibly chart's IC, or Mars-ruled 4th House of home, security, tradition, the past, memory, & represents this nation's psychological roots, we may well be witnessing the beginning of what's known in traditional astrology as “the end of the matter.”That's because when planets cross the 4th House cusp—in any chart—they begin their upward trajectory, first toward the partnership-oriented 7th House cusp's Descendant & then to the Midheaven's 10th House cusp.Saturn will take seven years from now to reach the U.S. Descendant, then come above the horizon to be more clearly seen, & hit the Midheaven in approximately 14 years. It's then that the reckoning of the past 14 years will become obvious. For more on all of this—including Astro News You Can Use from last week's Davos, Switzerland's World Economic Forum & Trump TACO'g again on his threats to invade Greenland & tariff European nations--as all of those planetary conjunctions to Pluto occurred—tune in @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking starting today, January 23, at 11 a.m. PT & 2 p.m. ET!See you then! Timestamps [1:29] The week kicks off with a packed Monday featuring six major aspects—about what we usually cover in an entire week. [1:53] Sun sextiles Neptune (Jan. 19, 1:55 pm PST) at 29°50' Capricorn-Pisces. An opportunity to turn your dreams into something tangible. Spiritual breakthroughs are possible. [3:44] Sun enters Aquarius (Jan. 19, 5:45 pm PST). It'll be in Aquarius until Feb. 18. This is a time of reinvention—do something new, live more freely, and focus on what truly matters rather than following society's rules. [6:08] Venus conjunct Pluto (Jan. 19, 8:04 pm PST) at 03°19' Aquarius. Look out for new insights about relationships, as well as what needs to change. Finances can take a turn. [7:56] Mercury enters Aquarius (Jan. 20, 8:42 am PST), until Feb. 6. Draft your plans for the future. Master new technology. [9:24] Sun conjunct Mercury (Jan. 21, 7:49 am PST) at 1°36' Aquarius. When Mercury is cazimi, powerful mental and communication clarity is possible. This exact window—when the Sun and Mercury are within 17 minutes of arc—is between Jan. 20, 9:31 pm PST to Jan. 21, 6:03 pm PST. [10:47] Mercury conjunct Pluto (Jan. 22, 9:15 am PST) at 3°24' Aquarius. Avoiding the truth isn't an option. Channel compulsive urges into absorbing routines, and focus on researching finances and emerging technologies. [12:11] Sun conjunct Pluto (Jan. 23, 2:28 am PST) at 3°25' Aquarius . This conjunction falls on the Sabian symbol 4 Aquarius, A Hindu healer. Excellent for deep healing and letting go of what is no longer healthy or needed. [14:14] Saturn sextiles Uranus (Jan. 19, 9:19 pm PST) at 27°33' Pisces-Taurus. The other two sextiles in this series were on April 4 and August 11, 2025. You hold the key to your own prison door and have the power to move forward. [16:39] Mars trines Uranus (Jan. 19, 9:56 pm PST) at 27°33' Capricorn-Taurus. Repeat this mantra: “I am ready to change, I am ready to do things differently.” Just make sure that you're moving towards something that is actually better and not just reacting in the moment. [18:59] Mars sextiles Saturn (Jan. 19, 10:02 pm PST) at 27°33' Capricorn-Pisces.  Here's an opportunity to step up your game in a particular area of life, especially if it's work-related. [20:01] Mars sextiles Neptune (Jan. 22, 10:39 pm PST) at 29°54' Capricorn and Pisces. An opportunity to work more fluidly to pursue work and spiritual goals; don't get too attached to the way you get there, though. [22:07] Mars enters Aquarius (Jan. 23, 1:17 am PST). It'll be in Aquarius through March 2. Go ahead and ruffle some feathers! [23:22] Moon Report! Taurus First Quarter Moon (Jan. 25, 8:47 pm PST) at 6°14' Taurus and Aquarius. This is the first action point toward your New Moon in Capricorn goals (Jan. 18, 2026). Keep it practical and take your time. [25:51] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). This is the First Quarter (first action point) in a LPFC that began with the New Moon of April 27, 2025, at 7°46' Taurus. The Full Moon (awareness point) occurs on Oct. 25, 2026, at 2°45' Taurus. The Last Quarter (last action point) is on July 26, 2027, at 3°29' Taurus. [27:32] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. The Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus (Jan. 20, 6:16 pm PST). It's VOC for 4 hours, 34 minutes, and then enters Pisces (10:50 pm PST). Try to use this VOC Moon time to welcome change in small ways. [28:52] The Moon in Pisces conjoins Neptune (Jan. 23, 5:17 am PST). It's VOC for 9 minutes, then enters Aries (5:26 am PST). Introduce a new routine in your daily life that gives you space to indulge sympathy, intuition and imagination. [29:49] The Moon in Aries squares Jupiter in Cancer (Jan. 24, 1:36 pm PST). Another 14-transit week as we shift from Capricorn season into Aquarius season. The Sun, Mercury, and Mars all enter Aquarius, joining Venus and Pluto to create a five-planet alignment in Aquarius — something we haven't seen since February 1791.Monday, January 19th is the epicenter, with six exact transits including the Saturn-Uranus sextile that's been building since late December. This week asks us to take one final look at the guilt, shame, regret, and blame that Saturn and Neptune in Pisces have been excavating — and meet it with compassion before these planets leave Pisces for good.We explore what it means to be an authority who distributes knowledge rather than hoards it, and how to stand out as an individual while still contributing to the group. Plus, a self-driving car on train tracks offers an unexpected lens on Mercury conjunct Pluto.(8:08) The Sun in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces 29° – January 17 – 20 (Saturday – Tuesday) – Monday, January 19.(19:14) The Sun in Aquarius – January 19 – February 18The Sun transits through Aquarius every year from January 19 or 20 – February 18 or 19, depending on where you are and the time.(27:01) Venus Conjunct Pluto in Aquarius 3° – January 17 – 20 (Saturday – Tuesday) – Monday, January 19.(29:27) Mars in Capricorn Sextile Saturn in Pisces 27° – January 16 – 21 (Friday – Wednesday) – Monday, January 19.(33:04) Mars in Capricorn Trine Uranus Retrograde in Taurus 27° – January 16 – 21 (Friday – Wednesday) – Monday, January 19.(36:01) Saturn in Pisces Sextile Uranus Retrograde in Taurus 27° – December 28, 2025 – February 8, 2026 – Monday, January 19.(40:00) Mercury in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces 29° – January 18 – 21 (Sunday – Wednesday) – Tuesday, January 20.(42:43) Mercury in Aquarius – January 20 – February 6.The dates below are times when Mercury has previously transited through Aquarius.January 27 – February 14, 2025February 4 – 22, 2024February 11 – March 2, 2023February 14 – March 9, 2022January 2 – 25, 2022 (1° – 10° Retrograde in Aquarius)(45:43) The Sun Conjunct Mercury in Aquarius 1° – January 20 – 22 (Tuesday – Thursday) – Wednesday, January 21.(50:24) Mercury Conjunct Pluto in Aquarius 3° – January 21 – 23 (Wednesday – Friday) – Thursday, January 22.(53:56) Mars in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces 29° – January 19 – 24 (Monday – Saturday) – Thurdsay, January 22.(58:49) Mars in Aquarius – January 23 – March 2.The dates below are times when Mars has previously transited through Aquarius.February 12 – March 22, 2024March 5 – April 14, 2022March 30 – May 12, 2020(1:03:04) The Sun Conjunct Pluto in Aquarius 3° – January 21 – 24 (Wednesday – Saturday) – Friday, January 23.(1:04:59) The Sun in Aquarius Square the Moon in Taurus 06°13' at 8:46 PM PST – Sunday, January 25.Check out my conversation with Dallisa Hocking about the astrology for January, 2026Get the 2026 Astrology GuideJoin my Substackhttps://www.theweeklytransit.com/

This week marks a quiet but pivotal turning point — not dramatic, but consequential. It's a hinge moment where one era completes its handoff and another begins asking for our consent.Rather than forecasting outcomes, this episode offers orientation: how to stand inside change with maturity, discernment, and care.We explore the larger context shaping this week:• The completion of a long Capricorn chapter and the collective shift toward Aquarius — from endurance and survival toward pattern awareness and conscious participation. • Neptune preparing to leave Pisces after fourteen years (2011–now), closing an era of dissolving certainties, heightened sensitivity, spiritual longing, and widespread disorientation — including life lived through screens, fear-based narratives, and inherited domination stories that thrive on confusion rather than discernment. • Neptune approaching Aries, signaling a change in tone from saturation to self-location — from absorbing the collective field to choosing what we are willing to embody and steward. • Pluto waiting at the Aquarian gate, initiating a deeper reckoning with power, responsibility, and participation in collective systems — not through collapse, but through clarity. • A stabilizing alliance between Saturn in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus (in supportive sextile), reminding us that lasting change does not require everything to fall apart; it asks for patient redesign rather than reactive rupture. • A return to last week's New Moon at the final degrees of Capricorn — an unusually dense lunation involving all the personal planets and Pluto, harmonizing with Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune, and standing opposite Jupiter. Its message of “all hands on deck” is reframed here not as urgency, but as mature engagement and conscious participation. This is not a week that demands action. It asks for orientation.Reflective Questions for the Week• Where in my life am I still operating from endurance rather than conscious choice? • What currently shapes my attention most — and does it align with what I truly want to steward? • In this moment of transition, what would it look like to stand more clearly in my values through steady, mature engagement rather than urgency or reaction? This episode is an invitation to locate yourself more clearly in time — and to participate in what's emerging with care, responsibility, and presence.Podcast poem:  All This by Rosemerry Wahtola TrommerSupport the showGo to Sheila's website for information for transformational resources: https://www.ontheedgesofchange.com/home-page This episode was co-created with generative AI, engaged as a soul-aligned ally in service of transformation. And what's with Train Dreams? Amy had to shut it off. Amy finally watched Magnolia per Maya's suggestion. She loved it!!! Off topic…is Paul Walker the most mourned man in history? The ladies decide that Jeff Bridges and Kurt Russell are the same guy now, and that they definitely don't wear seatbelts. Putting Christmas away is depressing. The year of the Horse is here! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN for this & more Astro News You Can Use! @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops today, January 16!There's safety in numbers, folks, that's what this Capricorn New Moon tells us now as it occurs at 28'44" Capricorn at 11:52 a.m. PT & 2:52 p.m. ET January 18! This Saturn-ruled lunation tells us it's time to get serious about being more responsibly focused on standing our ground, while it's earthy trines by both luminaries, Mercury, & Mars to Uranus--still Rx in Taurus--denote an easy path if we stick together now.  Earthy practical Capricorn is known to be success oriented in terms of physical manifestation. If it's not practical, the Capricorn archetype doesn't want to waste time on pie-in-the-sky dreams with no possible way of becoming reality. The waning portion of the last monthly lunar cycle--which began with the Sagittarius New Moon on December 19--asked us to go deep about our true sense of what is moral, ethical, & just. The Cancer New Moon on January 3 then revealed with stark clarity exactly how much immortality & injustice exists in the world around us.This Capricorn New Moon tells us now that we must get serious about understanding this reality, and that the only recourse is to band together to stand firm against those who perpetrate such ethical violations & moral injustices. This lunation occurs in the U.S. natal Sibly chart's 2nd House of values & resources, & conjunct its natal Pluto at 27'33 Capricorn. So we KNOW we're being asked to empower this nation by drawing greater distinctions between our own true values and those of the powers that be—especially those who control our resources & finances now.Meanwhile this lunation's multiple trines to Uranus Rx in Taurus in the 12th House of the unconscious realm, beckon us to awaken to an easier pathway to resist those who are trying to impose their unwelcome (& unrealistic) set of values on us. And the Capricorn New Moon says their values are not lasting ones as they are impractical in nature & therefore—in the end—realistically unachievable.AQUARIUS SEASON HAS BEGUN: TIME TO SEE THE LIGHT & KNOW THAT TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!Venus enters Aquarius January 17, and the Sun, Mercury, & Mars all follow suit on January 19, 20, & 23, respectively. After the past month of governmental initiated brute force used against those in cities across America, this influx of Aquarian energy frees us to think differently about how to combat such injustices now. It's clear in retrospect that the past week of tense squares by Venus, Sun, Mars, & Mercury in Capricorn to wounded healer Chiron & chaos bringer dwarf planet Eris in Aries manifested in violent actions against protestors (read: literal wounding.) This includes not only the death or Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis Minnesota on January 7, but the more recent wounding of others, including the young man in L.A. who's permanently blind in one eye now after being shot in the face with pepper balls by an ICE agent. The symbolism of this particular act of violence lies in the fact that Uranus has been retrograding from 29-degrees of Taurus—known as the Pleiades point which is associated with “blindness”—back to 27-degrees Taurus, a degree away from the fixed star Algol.Algol represents an “off with his head” energy as its meaning derives from Greek mythology's hero Perseus who slayed the snake-haired gorgon Medusa by cutting off her head & ending her ability to turn people to stone with her gaze.  After Uranus stations direct again at 27'28” Taurus on February 3, it will once again hit the Pleiades point from early April through to April 25 when Uranus reenters Gemini. By then it's highly likely that even those who've been blind to the depths of the immorality of the people who run the U.S. government will begin to see the light. In addition, when Uranus again transits through 29 degrees of Taurus, it will affect those whose birth charts contain the fixed star Regulus at that degree. You know, folks like Donald Trump, who's 29'55” Leo Ascendant conjoins Regulus, known as the king maker & king breaker. That's because, while Regulus predicts the potential for reaching great heights of power, it also portends a huge fall from grace if one uses such power for evil ends such as retribution against perceived enemies. Trump clearly has no astrologer to guide him, else he'd have been forewarned not to act as he has since he became president a second time in January 2025.It's clear that group sentiment has been changing how they value Trump's actions in office thus far (Uranus Rx in Taurus.) You know, like his threat this past week to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 which empowers the U.S. President to nationally deploy the U.S. military and to federalize the National Guard units of the individual states. That act allows the president to do this in specific circumstances, such as for the suppression of civil disorder, of insurrection, and of armed rebellion against the federal government of the U.S.Invoking this—along with Trump's other plans such his desire to increase ICE's funding, change mail-in election ballot rules, attempt to take over Greenland, & the confiscation & selling of seized Venezuelan oil & depositing the $500M proceeds in an offshore account, among so many others—will not sit well with Americans. And that displeasure is likely to make itself felt as Uranus once again reaches its square to his natal Regulus/Ascendant & Mars in April as the two political party's primaries will be well under way. While he's not on the ballot in November 2026, plenty of his Republican minions are. And it's not looking good for them—assuming we, the people, can stand together against such a tyrannical regime that's killing people in the streets, & detaining, jailing, & deporting others without due process. EMPOWERMENT VERSUS DISEMPOWERMENTEmpowerment becomes the word of this coming week as Venus, Mercury, the Sun, & Mars all conjoin with Pluto in Aquarius between January 19 & 27—especially since we may hear another (potentially surprising) announcement by the powers that be when the Sun conjoins Mercury in Aquarius between now & January 21.This sets off new synodic cycles which will eventually reach their peaks when Venus in Leo opposes Pluto on June 17, & the Sun follows suit July 26. Mercury does so on August 11, while the one to watch is the Mars opposition to Pluto in Aquarius on October 3. Bear in mind the latter will occur a month before the November 3, 2026, midterm elections, meaning after the party's nominees have slugged it out during the earlier primary period.Keep in mind also that during this period, by mid-October, transiting Mars in Leo will have conjoined with Trump's 12th H Pluto at 10 Leo, and will be headed for his natal Mars return, which occurs after the election on November 18.Empowering ourselves now against what's potentially to come IF it looks like Trump's party is losing power after November 3 may well involve bracing ourselves for dealing with an increasingly desperate, wounded, cornered animal. Just a head's up...Join us for all this & more Astro News You Can Use—including a deeper look at the big picture overview of the current Saturn/Pluto, Saturn/Neptune, & Jupiter/Saturn cycles--& what they portend for the future when you tune in, starting today at 11 a.m. PT & 2 p.m. ET, @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking... See you then!! Play Episode Listen Later Jan 12, 2026 55:03

This week we're covering 14 transits—highlighted by Venus entering Aquarius and the New Moon in Capricorn at 28°.I open with an extended look at how the Capricorn stellium is already speaking through the headlines: Maduro's capture, Greenland, Venezuela's oil reserves, and the pattern I traced in last week's Substack essay playing out in real time. Every 32 years, this stellium stress-tests questions of authority, territory, and sovereignty. The ceiling becomes the floor. But the heart of this episode is closer to home. With the Sun and Mars squaring Chiron in Aries, fears and insecurities around authority are surfacing—both our relationship to external authority and to ourselves as the authority. I share some personal reflections on new fatherhood, the power I now hold over my children, and the generational patterns I'm determined not to repeat. We walk through Mercury opposite Jupiter retrograde in Cancer (the origins of how we relate to authority), Venus sextile Saturn in Pisces (taking responsibility for the guilt, shame, and blame impressed upon us), and Venus trine Uranus in Taurus (revolutionizing our values so we can show up differently than we were taught). It all leads to the New Moon in Capricorn on January 18th: setting intentions for how we want to be in authority moving forward. What fears are coming up for you? Astrology and Tarot from two grounded Earth signs! We're here to show you the energies so you can embrace them in your own way. The first half of 2026 shifts from 2025's stagnant waiting energy into decisive action and transformation. January through March build momentum as Neptune and Saturn move into Aries, clearing the fog and demanding that first brave step forward. February is the most pivotal month, with Saturn meeting Neptune at zero degrees Aries on the 20th, a rare cosmic reset at the origin point of the zodiac. This is preceded by a powerful solar eclipse in Aquarius on the 17th that squares Uranus, ushering in this new era! March brings a lunar eclipse in Pisces on the 3rd, clearing old patterns from the Virgo-Pisces eclipse series. The tarot journey moves from the Two of Wands (planning) through the Eight of Wands (rapid movement) to The Magician (you have everything you need), requiring emotional intelligence to stay grounded amid collective upheaval. April and May accelerate as seven planets gather in Aries, creating unprecedented energy that demands singular focus and inner trust. The Magician and Chariot cards signal there's no turning back - this is the moment to manifest quickly and discover you're not alone as parallel paths converge. While personal manifestations flourish, the collective experiences intense tension and dissolution of old systems around leadership and power. By June, the Nine of Wands acknowledges fatigue but emphasizes pacing over stopping. You're closer than you think! Jupiter's move into Leo promises that creativity, play, and human connection will carry us through, reminding us that our individual dreams create the new world we're moving toward together.     Monthly Summaries: Tarot & Astrology Insights January Andrea's Tarot - Two of Wands: Preparation and planning energy - you have the spark but need to take the first step Looking out at possibilities but stuck in analysis mode Time to move from planning to action, even if it's just one small tangible step The hardest part is getting into motion - just open the door and walk outside Breaking hibernation mode and getting back to business Emily's Astrology: Venus and Mars traveling with the Sun (invisible) - actions happening behind closed doors Mercury retrograde begins, Mars opposite Jupiter (10th) - emotional decision-making Major shift: Neptune moves into Aries (26th) - fog clears, we can see the path ahead Multiple planets move into Aquarius around the 20th, meeting with Pluto Setting up the foundation for the entire year February Andrea's Tarot - King of Cups: Emotional intelligence and maturity on display Recognizing your own growth in handling emotions Witnessing others' emotional reactions with empathy but not taking responsibility Staying calm and grounded while others may be overwhelmed Processing emotions without getting stuck in loops Emily's Astrology: Uranus goes direct (3rd) - last months in Taurus after 7 years MAJOR: Saturn moves into Aries (13th), meets Neptune at 0 degrees (20th) - pivotal reset moment Solar eclipse in Aquarius (17th) squares Uranus - powerful change energy Structure meets dissolution - cardboard box in water metaphor Potential for major global shifts, especially regarding Russia and leadership changes March Andrea's Tarot - Eight of Wands: Fast-moving fire energy - momentum building Reward for taking action and getting through emotional shifts Things moving faster than expected when you trust yourself Alignment bringing abundance and opportunities Energy and attention drawn your way - right people appearing on your path Emily's Astrology: Mercury retrograde in Pisces (starts 26th of Feb) - emotional introspection Lunar eclipse in Pisces (3rd) opposite Mercury - clearing old patterns Mars moves into Pisces (2nd), Jupiter goes direct in Cancer Calmer month overall - a reprieve and deep breath Potential for misunderstandings but Jupiter provides emotional support April Andrea's Tarot - The Magician: You have everything you need to create magic Major turning point - no going back now Personal responsibility to keep momentum going Trust in your qualifications and capabilities Alchemist energy - creating what you need from what you have Emily's Astrology: Mars moves into Aries (9th) - seven planets in Aries by month's end Mars conjunct Neptune (12th) - inflamed energy, potential for major events Three planets move into three signs in three days (16th-18th) Uranus moves into Gemini (25th) - confusion about AI and reality Personally manifesting quickly, but collectively very tense and overwhelming May Andrea's Tarot - The Chariot: Two major arcana in a row - unstoppable forward movement Taking two energies and directing them in the same direction Leaving old civilization behind, trusting in the new path Finding your new community and being seen Constant movement forward without burnout - listening to your body Emily's Astrology: Mercury moves into Taurus (15th), meets Venus - back to body and enjoyment Pluto retrograde (6th) - examining how you fit into the collective Mars, Venus, Mercury all change signs (16th-18th) - five best weeks of the year Mars square Pluto (25th) - potential for conflict but fighting for human rights Peak energy for hope and breathing room June Andrea's Tarot - Nine of Wands: Fiery energy continues but fatigue setting in Push through the last bit - you're so close Slow down if needed but don't stop completely Focus on the outcome to maintain spark Avoid the exhaustion of the Ten of Wands by pacing yourself Emily's Astrology: Venus and Jupiter meet in Cancer (9th) - hope and heart-centered opportunity Mars moves into Gemini (28th), catches up with Uranus quickly Mercury retrograde (29th) in Cancer - another watery introspection Jupiter moves into Leo (30th) - creativity and play become important Building toward intense July - enjoy the relative calm while it lasts Visit emilyandherstars.com for readings, workshops, and updates. ✨ Subscribe, rate, and review Things That Make You Go Woo to help others find the magic. ✨ Share this episode with a friend who'd love some Scorpio Season clarity. First, let's review: When the Sagittarius New Moon kicked off this month's lunar cycle on December 19, it asked us to plant seeds that would grow into a deeper sense of what our soul knows is truly moral, ethical, & just. However, this lunation illustrated that this wasn't going to be easy an easy task. That's because both luminaries in Sagittarius—partnered with Venus & Juno in Sadge & waxing toward Mars in Capricorn—were square to (read: blocked by) both Saturn & Neptune in Pisces as they attempted to dissolve our moral foundations. The Sadge Moon & Sun also became the focal part of a yod to both Jupiter retrograde in Cancer & Uranus retrograde in Taurus, indicating adjustments needed to be made to achieve this lunation's goal.Meanwhile, Jupiter, the ruler of the Sagittarius New Moon, was square to both wounded healer Chiron & dwarf planet of chaos & discord Eris in Aries, a sign that the path to ethical justice might be strewn with painful & chaotic battles. Since then, however, the plot thickened when the January 3 Cancer Full Moon implored the Capricorn Sun to have a greater sense of compassion rather than focusing only on what the Sun considered to be “success,” but was stymied by its opposition to the Sun, Venus, & Mars in Capricorn. Only a few hours after exact, the Cancer Moon conjoined with Jupiter, an aspect many consider lucky. However, given that the conjunctions of the Sun to Venus, Venus to Mars, & the Sun to Mars between January 6-10 are now waxing opposite to Jupiter, we're looking less at luck & more at a test of our own morality & sense of true justice now.The point? That this Cancer Full Moon has revealed to us all now with stark clarity that expansively arrogant Jupiterian hubristic actions can pervert our sense of justice by converting it into an indefensible “righteous” mission. CHIRON DIRECT IN ARIES: CAN THE PEOPLE TAKE BACK THEIR MORAL POWER?This podcast takes a deep dive into what's occurred astrologically speaking since the new year began on January 1, when Mercury entered serious Capricorn, wounded healer Chiron stationed direct in Aries on January 2, & we experienced the Cancer Full Moon on January 3. As the climax of the December 19 Sagittarius New Moon's energy, the January 3 Cancer Full Moon has highlighted clearly the impediments to achieving what our soul knows deep down to be just, moral, & ethical. That has come in the form of watching a nation that's often referred to itself as a world leader in terms of democracy & upholding the rule of law morph into a law breaker in the name of some perverted sense of “justice.”And, yes, we're talking about the U.S.'s military incursion into Caracas, Venezuela, in order to kidnap its president Nicolas Maduro—regardless of whether he was illegally elected or not--& his wife in the dead of night, all without Congressional approval.  And, yes, we're talking about the Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency brownshirt-type goons who smash car windows, break down doors, & haul people suspected of crimes into detention—& often deport them summarily without due process. But the worst immoral & unethical crime of all is being committed by ICE members when they murder innocent people in the name of “justice,” as just happened twice in Minneapolis, Minnesota, & Portland, Oregon within two days of each other. The United States was born with Chiron in Aries. That American colonists were originally stymied in their will to act is part of our psychological childhood, since Chiron resides in the U.S. Sibly natal chart's 4th House of our psychological roots. The fact that Chiron is now direct tells us that we're going to be waking up even more to the fact that we've been wounded by congressional inaction to right the wrongs of an arrogant president & his administration. And that we most likely will have to fight to regain our freedom from such tyrannical actions. The recent NPR/Ipsos poll released today illustrates this fact, as it “reveals that while Americans across the political spectrum want the U.S. to be a global moral leader, fewer believe it holds that title today,” according to NPR.“The survey highlights a significant gap: 61% of respondents believe the U.S. should be a moral leader, while 39% believe it actually is one. The latter figure shows a steep decline from 2017, when 60% of Americans viewed the nation as a moral leader in a similar survey.”WHO'S MORALITY IS TRULY MORAL? I.E., WHO DIED & MADE YOU GOD?As we approach tomorrow's January 10 third quarter “crisis in consciousness” waning square of the Libra Moon to the Capricorn Sun, we can feel the palpable vibe of people continuing to demand fairness & equity, peace & harmony. That's in the face of a recalcitrant inflexible president who's already declared to the New York Times “that he would be the arbiter of any limits to his authorities, not international law or treaties.”The January 8 article, appearing as we waxed toward today's January 9 exact Sun/Mars conjunction in Saturn-ruled Capricorn was headlined: “Trump Lays Out a Vision of Power Restrained Only by ‘My Own Morality'” It continues: “President Trump declared on Wednesday evening that his power as commander in chief is constrained only by his ‘own morality,' brushing aside international law and other checks on his ability to use military might to strike, invade or coerce nations around the world.“Asked in a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times if there were any limits on his global powers, Mr. Trump said: ‘Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It's the only thing that can stop me.'…'I don't need international law,' he added. ‘I'm not looking to hurt people.'”“When pressed further about whether his administration needed to abide by international law, Mr. Trump said, ‘I do.' But he made clear he would be the arbiter when such constraints applied to the United States.“'It depends what your definition of international law is,' he said.Mr. Trump's assessment of his own freedom to use any instrument of military, economic or political power to cement American supremacy was the most blunt acknowledgment yet of his worldview. At its core is the concept that national strength, rather than laws, treaties and conventions, should be the deciding factor as powers collide.“On topic after topic, President Trump made clear that he would be the arbiter of any limits to his authorities, not international law or treaties.”The question now, as we head toward squares between the Capricorn Venus, Sun, Mars, & Mercury between now and January 16--& Chiron direct in Aries--is whether the pain of U.S. citizens (& others) will be enough to push those in Congress to limit Trump's self-appointed powers. More & more people will doubtless realize that this is not what the U.S. Constitution called for at its inception, not what Americans fought & died for since the Declaration of Independence on July 4, & not the kind of freedom & equality for all it should have morphed into by now. We'll wait & watch to see what comes when Venus enters Aquarius & Mercury conjoins with Mars in Capricorn by January 17 & 18, as that leads us to the Capricorn New Moon on January 18. It's then we'll begin the parade of planets move toward a conjunction with Pluto in Aquarius during the second half of January. Join us for all this & more Astro News You Can Use—including a deeper look at the historical meaning of the Venus/Sun/Mars stellium in Capricorn--& tune in, starting today at 11 a.m. PT & 2 p.m. ET, @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking... See you then!! Astrologer and poet Heidi Rose Robbins returns for an in-depth, practical forecast of 2026's "fresh start" astrology. Together with host Deborah Kagan, she breaks down the rare Saturn–Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries, the Uranus re-entry into Gemini, Jupiter's shift from Cancer to Leo, and a potent, transitional eclipse year. Expect clear guidance on timing, strategy, and how to align your creativity, intuition, and leadership with the year's accelerations—without burning out. If you use astrology as a "cosmic weather report," this episode delivers the map, the gear list, and the optimal routes.   What you'll learn: ✨ Why Saturn conjunct Neptune at 0° Aries (Feb 20) is a "once in 9,000 years" reset—and how to build a real plan for a brand-new dream ✨ How a disruptive, Uranus-charged eclipse week (Feb 17–20) detonates stuck patterns and sets a revolutionary tone ✨ Why Uranus in Gemini (re-enters Apr 25) supercharges AI, communication, and speed—and how to pivot without whiplash ✨ How a multi-year Pluto–Uranus trine quietly accelerates collective reform through 2028 (think 60s-level change, but harmonized) ✨ The exact tension point when Jupiter enters Leo (Jun 29) and opposes Pluto (Jul 20): courageous heart-led leadership vs. ego theatrics ✨ How Chiron's move into Taurus spotlights money, values, and self-worth—and why rest becomes a non-negotiable healer ✨ Why all three Mercury retrogrades in water signs (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio) in 2026 amplify intuition and emotional repair ✨How the mixed-axis eclipse year (Aquarius/Leo and Pisces/Virgo) signals a threshold from visionary reinvention to embodied service

In this episode, Britten records her final episode of 2025 under a Taurus moon, waxing toward the full moon in Cancer. She reflects on the year that has passed, sharing intimate thoughts on time, grief, the poignancy of being human, and her relationship to the Gregorian calendar turn. Britten opens by describing a grief portal she moved through at the winter solstice - one she had been avoiding for weeks but that finally came for her. She speaks to the heaviness of the year, acknowledging both the beauty and magic of 2025 alongside its brutality, and the importance of letting her body honor all of it.   Topics She Explores: The terror of time and how it loops back to our fear of death and losing the ones we love, which ultimately returns us to presence and the sweetness of being here together How the Western insistence that the holidays are only about wonder and magic makes it harder, when the truth is there is always grief and wonder together The Hermit year (2025 as a 9 year) and the lantern as a tool for turning toward life so it can reveal itself to us - including ourselves revealing ourselves to ourselves Her year-end practices of data collection and looking back: skimming journals without judgment or pathologizing, seeing everything as evidence first before recognizing patterns and curriculum Why only after collecting data does she bring in the archetypes (transits, cards) so they don't override what actually happened The concept of reveals and revelations as a major theme of 2025 - how running, journaling, relationships, and creative work are all self-revelation processes where life reveals itself when we turn our lantern toward it   Learn More: Britten invites listeners to join her in the 4th installment of Mystics Making Money: Revolutions, Not Resolutions on January 15-18, ending on the new moon in Capricorn, where she'll be teaching her time practices and supporting people in their reorientation as they release 2025 and move into 2026. Have you been building your brand based solely on your sun sign or what you think looks good, without considering how the visual experience of your brand either attracts or repels your exact people? In this second episode of the three-part series, I'm breaking down how to use astrology to create brand aesthetics that reflect the wholeness of who you are. I share why my Scorpio rising means dark tones and moody imagery over Boss Babe pink, how my Virgo midheaven demands precision and white space with zero excess, why my Taurus seventh house means my people need to feel grounded and steady (not overwhelmed with 47 tips), and how to blend your rising, midheaven, and partnership houses to create a visual experience that's magnetically aligned.BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL DISCOVER:Why your rising sign is the most consistent foundation for brand identity (it's always in the first house, unlike your sun which could be hidden in the 12th or dimmed in fall), whether that's Scorpio's mysterious depth with darker tones and moody imagery, Leo's bold creative leadership with bright sunny energy, Virgo's precision and clean girl aesthetic with lots of white space, or Libra's trendsetting editorial chicness like Vogue or Chanel, and why building a brand counter to this creates friction no matter how good your strategy is.How to layer your midheaven (9th, 10th, or 11th house showing your career and how you're known) with your rising sign to create the full picture, like Kathryn's Scorpio rising with Virgo midheaven creating depth and mystery combined with precision and less-is-more (cutting the fat, quality over quantity), versus someone with Libra rising and Leo midheaven blending chic editorial softness with bold creative leadership energy, and why looking at the ruler of each sign and where it lives in your chart adds crucial nuance to the aesthetic. The seventh house revelation that most branding approaches completely ignore, your partnerships and relationships house that shows exactly who you're designed to attract and what they need to feel in your brand experience, like Kathryn's Taurus seventh house meaning her people need grounded, steady, earthy energy (not overwhelming them with endless tips and strategies that trigger their exhaustion and distraction), and why your brand must reflect both who you are AND the energetic frequency of your ideal people or you'll keep attracting misaligned clients who don't value what you actually offer. Why this isn't about following rigid formulas from ChatGPT or having someone tell you "your colors are pink and you need flowers" but about playing with the energy of your rising sign, midheaven ruler, seventh house, and even your Human Design culture sphere (Gate 40's exhaustion and distraction for Kathryn) to feel your way into the aesthetic that makes you go "yes, THAT'S me" rather than building someone else's vision of what your chart should look like on paper. And while you're here, follow us on Instagram @creativelyowned for more daily inspiration on effortlessly attracting the most aligned clients without spending hours marketing your business or chasing clients.
