By the end of it, she came out with $290,000 in medical bills and a new lease on life. Her first book, “A Journey of Hope to Heaven and Back” has been adapted into a Hollywood screenplay. Episode 05 - Jeanne Marie - From Bullied to Bodybuilder: The Subtle Art of Stumbling Upon Your Strengths __ Today on Stronger Self Radio I interview Jeanne Marie, an online coach and NPC competitive bodybuilder who went through some serious hardship earlier in her life to become the empowering and inspiring woman she is today. Some of awesome topics we talked about: -How Jeanne learned how to step out of her comfort zone and make going to the gym a habit for life -How to surround yourself with people who empower you and get away from those who take away from you -The incredible power of just one compliment -How to sift through the potentially harmful inauthentic messages on social media and in the fitness industry -The struggle between internal and external strengths (and finding your own) -How IIFYM (If it fits your macros) saved her relationship with food and made it easier for her to diet down and look great -Jeanne’s end goal to start an orphanage in Haiti -How her mentality of “getting uncomfortable with the comfortable” continues to impact her life today __ Some Amazing Quotes that were said: “I literally looked in the mirror one day and realized that over a period of time I had gained 30 pounds and I didn’t know where to start...” “The gym is my therapist... it is a place where you can go and let out any emotion... if I am having a bad day or a good day I have good lift... nothing else matters....” “I don’t think my 16 year old self would believe that I would [later surround myself] with a group of women who are so empowered and speak so kindly of themselves....” “Being empowered in not about someone saying your pretty or your body looks good... its things like you made me confidence, you made me healthy... its compliments on your abilities which are so much more powerful than your just your physical body” “I had a coach that told me I could only eat spinach and tilapia.... this was for 16 weeks... and I was restricting myself so much that I found it hard to enjoy my life... she has a million followers so I could trust her.... but I couldn’t live like this... then I discovered IIFYM and it changed my life” “You don’t have to be restricted to see the results you want with your body... you don’t deserve to go through a diet that makes you miserable” “Everyday is a brand new chance... a fresh start. You can change your life at any point. Its not ever a now or never situation. It is whenever” __ You can find out what Jeanne is up to at: @jeannemariefit jmariefitness.com __ Join the Movement. www.thestrongerselfmovement.com And Together We Can Pursue Our #StrongerSelf __ Music by: BVRNOUT & KROMATIKS - Follow Your Heart ft.
