Journey Into Imagination opened at EPCOT in 1983 and has been a part of Walt Disney World ever since. As part of the Imagination Pavilion conceived by Walt Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter, Journey Into Imagination took guests aboard a whimsical flight into the imagination, with Dreamfinder and Figment reminding guests that "One Little Spark" (a song written by Richard and Robert Sherman) can lead to an unlimited number of ideas. In this podcast episode, we discuss the history of Journey Into Imagination, including its replacements, Journey Into Your Imagination and (currently) Journey Into Imagination with Figment, along with some speculation as to what might be in store for this attraction's future. This episode includes fun facts and some audio recordings of the attraction. What do you love most about Journey Into Imagination with Figment? This week, Matt and Kevin return to their annual BAD DISNEY ATTRACTION show and look at the two year run of Journey Into YOUR Imagination at Epcot. WARNING: No Imagination was sparked on this attraction or while recording this show. Real quick - our friends at privacypros.com/3028 want to keep you looking fresh with holiday gear this season. They also want to make sure no one steals or uses your identity for financial gain. We think that's pretty cool.
You may love this attraction, you may hate it. Either way, this attraction has been mired in controversy for decades. This week, as Danny slowly melts in his recording space, we're taking a look back at this once iconic attraction's staggering demise to one of the most maligned attractions in all of Disney World. Music by Colin Paul

Workshopping Humanity is a podcast where we discuss the cultural and philosophical elements of a piece of popular culture that has also influenced our life in a profound way. Host Brett Schutt talks to 4dreams_and_ideas about the popular Disney Parks character Figment and how remodeling his ride Journey Into Imagination to Journey Into Your Imagination with Figment was one of the worst things the Disney company has ever done and how this was the first sign of a more IP driven future for the parks. They also discuss how despite all of that, the Figment legacy and Disney in general still is able to put people in awe and inspire them to be overall more creative and insightful people.

I do my best to steer clear of any controversy on this podcast. Actually, that's not true. I will talk about Dole Whips vs. Citrus Swirls sometimes, but that's about as far as I go. That's why this week's Word of the Week is very, very interesting for me! Let's talk about the Word(s) of the Week – Journey Into Imagination. You may notice the title isn't “Journey Into YOUR Imagination” or “Journey Into Your Imagination With Figment.” There is a reason for this. I'll talk all about the controversies and changes to a beloved attraction this week!
