When the world feels upside down, Christian parents are called to stand firm—but what happens when the very systems meant to protect our children threaten their bodies, minds, and hearts? Catherine sits down with Leigh-Allyn Baker—former Disney star turned medical freedom advocate and children’s author—to unpack one of the most divisive and urgent issues facing families today: how to safeguard our kids’ health and souls in a culture that often disregards parental rights, pushes conformity, and floods young minds with spiritually corrosive media. Key Highlights from This Episode: The Battle for Medical Freedom: Leigh-Allyn details her family’s experience with vaccine injury, the shocking aftermath, and why she fled California to protect her children from mandates and discrimination. When Standing Up Comes with a Price: Hear Leigh-Allyn’s account of going viral after speaking to a Tennessee school board—only to be publicly labeled a “domestic terrorist.” What Parents Aren’t Being Told: Learn why informed consent is more important than ever—from questionable laws stripping exemptions, to stories that never make the news. A Deeper Look at “Safe” Expert Advice: Featuring an eye-opening segment with Dr. Marty MaKary on how misguided medical recommendations (like those that caused America’s peanut allergy epidemic) remind us to question everything. Guarding Kids' Hearts AND Minds: Leigh-Allyn shares the transformation in her own faith, how “what you let into your body and your spirit” truly matters, and the link between physical and spiritual health. Raising Kids with Courage: Discover Leigh Allyn’s new book, One Small Little Voice, and her work with Kirk Cameron on Iggy and Mr. Kirk—a wholesome, biblical kids’ show designed to counteract Hollywood’s harmful messages. Why CONTENT Matters: Understand the real agenda behind children’s programming today—and what you can do to fill your child’s mind with truth and light. Why This Conversation Matters:In an era when every sphere—from schools to screens—competes for our children’s hearts, Christian parents can’t afford to be passive or uninformed. This episode is both a wake-up call and a roadmap: Stand up. Ask questions. Protect your rights. And above all, pour godly wisdom, beauty, and love into the next generation. About the Guest: Leigh-Allyn Baker is an American actress. She had recurring roles on Charmed and Will & Grace, and a starring role as mother Amy Duncan on the Disney Channel sitcom Good Luck Charlie. After leaving California, she became an outspoken advocate for parental rights and medical freedom, drawing on her own family’s journey through vaccine injury. Now based in Tennessee, she has teamed up with Brave Books to release One Small Little Voice and is starring with Kirk Cameron in “Iggy and Mr. Kirk.” Episode Resources: One Small Little Voice by Leigh Allyn Baker Brave Books Brave Streaming Service “Iggy and Mr. Kirk” Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3 Leigh-Allyn’s Viral School Board Meeting “Exposing the Truth about Peanut Allergies” The Megyn Kelly Show Blind Spots by Dr. Marty Makary Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.

Every Wednesday, we share our thoughts on a newer entertainment property, and we've now finished up with A Man on the Inside. While we enjoyed the actors' performances and the gentle humor, we do feel a bit duped by the promise that this was a mystery show; the case was closed within the first few minutes of the finale. Still, we'll probably be back for season 2. Mentioned: Monica's closet on Friends.Next Wednesday, we'll start a new watch: Running Point, on Netflix. It stars Kate Hudson as a woman who unexpectedly finds herself in charge of her family's pro basketball team. Former Disney kid Brenda Song appears, too, with some very non-Disney dialogue. We'll be back tomorrow with our weekly roundup.

A former menu production manager at Walt Disney World faces federal charges after allegedly hacking the company's servers following his termination. According to a federal criminal complaint, the fired worker manipulated menu settings, changing prices, inserting profanity, and altering notifications that marked certain menu items as safe for individuals with allergies. Disney officials said the former worker's actions could have had "potentially fatal consequences" for guests with severe allergies had the changes reached Disney's restaurant menus. However, Disney detected the tampering before it impacted guests and promptly took the menu creation program offline for more than a week, which resulted in approximately $150,000 in costs for the company. An internal Disney investigation identified the ex-employee as a suspect, citing his prior role and access within the menu management system. “Only workers in his position or similar positions would have the access and knowledge to carry out the attacks,” stated the criminal complaint. Disney said the worker's termination last June had been contentious. The FBI launched a full investigation, eventually leading to the former employee's arrest. His court-appointed attorney, David Haas, noted that his client, who has struggled with mental health issues from a young age, has not received counseling or treatment in jail. “He is not receiving any mental health counseling or treatment in jail,” Haas said in a motion seeking his release. Haas added that his client intends to plead not guilty once the formal indictment is filed. While Disney has declined to comment on the ongoing case, company representatives expressed relief that the intercepted menu alterations had prevented any potential harm. You might think that Brendan Rooney, who had a "normal" middle-class childhood, enlisted in the Marines and then went to Columbia University would have very little in common with Christy Carlson Romano, former Disney Channel child star who, in her words, made millions of dollars— and lost them. And yet— they say their childhoods were not that different when it came to the hard financial lessons. Nicole sits down with Christy and Brendan, who run the podcast network Podco, and talk about what it's like being business partners with your romantic partner. Then, Christy talks about her financial journey after rocketing to superstardom so young, and how she made— and lost millions. We talk about when spending can turn into a form of self-harm, and her advice to anyone looking to build a healthier relationship with money.
