{{ Released: April 2005 }} This week, Megan and Sabrina invite an amazing special guest onto the show: their wonderful producer Joshua Short (who definitely didn't write this episode description). Together they talk about the only Disney movie brave enough to show its heroine kill an octopus with her bare hands, Kim Possible: So the Drama!
What's the sitch? A lot of yelling and feelings, for one. This week, Candace and Arezou are joined by their friends Tori and Catrina to discuss "Kim Possible: So the Drama", the not-quite series finale for everyone's favourite teenage spy. Together, they talk about the series as a whole and what it meant (or didn't) to them growing up, and Candace valiantly tries to defend Kim/Ron while the rest vocally oppose it - especially Arezou, who felt "bamboozled" by the friends-to-lovers plot twist. At long last, Sam is back! And he's in rare form providing his "expertise" with Jacob and Lucas for the first animated DCOM, Kim Possible: So the Drama. But it's mostly him digging into Lucas's potentially lacking plot summaries. It's what the people want! Plus, the reintroduction and official naming of the podcast's first recurring segment! Hi everyone, sorry this was uploaded a bit late! Hope you weren't waiting on the edge of your seats for it. Buffalo Dreams is a movie that heavily involves Native culture, and we did our best to research and make sure to talk about what we found and if the representation seemed okay, but we are just doing our best with what we could find. This is the TikTok I referenced of a Native woman (@forwardlight on TikTok) talking about her and her preferences: https://www.tiktok.com/@forwardlight/video/6896586925415714053. We couldn't find any specific reviews from Native people about their opinions on this movie, so take what we say with a grain of salt. Though we know it is not anyone's responsibility to educate us, if we did say something wrong or misrepresent something, and you'd like to let us know feel free to message us on Instagram so we can correct ourselves and educate others too. Again, we try to do independent research, but know that even still we will get things wrong. We don't hesitate to apologize when we do, and would just like to keep learning how to be the best allies we can be. Next week we have a lighter movie, with Kim Possible: So the Drama.
