What does it mean to be open for business? There can be no commerce without a series of pathways to make exchanges. When Jesus was preparing for the ascension, his discussion with the disciples was clear. He asked if they were ready to be open to receive the scriptures. This was the culmination of all of their learning, their experiences, their preparation with Christ. This was a moment, similar to a graduation, where they were invited to step into their learning and begin to practice their training. We too must be open to receive the scriptures and go out into the world as expressions of Christ. Are you open for business?God bless,Rev LeonLuke 24:44-53

In this episode, we tackle the breaking news of Nico Iamaleava transferring from Tennessee after an (alleged) failed NIL renegotiation. Now, Nico's looking for a new home, and the Vols are suddenly in the market for a quarterback ahead of the 2025 season. We break down what went wrong, where he might land, and whether Tennessee could turn its sights toward a Big 12 starter.Later, John Kurtz from The John Kurtz Show and the Open For Business newsletter joins the show to preview Kansas State's 2024 season, the development of quarterback Avery Johnson, and share broader thoughts on how the Big 12 fits into an increasingly chaotic college football landscape.A fan of our college football podcast? Despite the positive election results on Nov. 5, we must not forget that economically America is a sinking ship. Over the last several weeks, President-elect Trump has made public some proposals that are clearly designed to bring business back to America. For decades, our overbearing government has chased big business away, and has made it very difficult for small business to survive. This cannot be fixed without a drastic decrease in regulations and government spending. It will not be fixed if the Trump Administration attempts to save the military empire. Trying to preserve the empire will just shuffle the deck chairs on our sinking ship. America First has to really be America First. It can be done.
