Imagine being an only child when suddenly, your parents have quints, and your previously peaceful home life is shattered by five wild and wacky babies! That certainly sounds like a premise rich in comic potential, doesn't it? Well too bad, this is a DCOM, so instead we get Quints (2000), a movie that barely features the quints of the title, but instead focuses on their older sister Jamie Grover (Kimberly J. Brown), who is neither wacky, nor a baby. How will Jamie cope with no longer being the centre of her parents' world? Is getting into George Washington Science Magnet School truly where her heart lies? Can we actually see the quints, though, please? The answers to these questions, and more, await! If you've watched Quints and have your own thoughts, email them to us at momcantcookpod@gmail.com for a chance to have them read out on the show. This episode is sponsored by Zocdoc. How are the boyz supposed to know if a DCOM is a "real" movie if they don't even put the word "movie" in the title?! Well, despite not apparently being an actual movie, Teen Beach 2 is still pretty fun! It's not clear at which point Kyle Johnson, protagonist of The Luck of the Irish (2001), is killed and the rest of the film is just the product of his neurons firing one last time, but it must be pretty early on because this is probably the most unhinged DCOM Andy and Luke have tackled so far. The movie tells the age-old story of a basketball-loving boy who discovers he hails from a family of leprechauns and - uh oh - begins transforming into a leprechaun when his lucky coin is stolen. Andy and Luke grapple hopelessly with the most baffling DCOM plot yet, but not as hopelessly as this movie grapples with accents, or weighty themes such as heritage and the immigrant experience. Well, I hope the wait for this one didn't fill you all with anticipation or anything, because we've got quite a “unique” DCOM for you this month. Not only because of its whole vignette thing, but there's just something in its very DNA that just feels…off? It's kind of hard to put into words, so you will just need to listen along to try and understand exactly how it makes you feel. Although, I will give you a hint: the title of this episode is both a reference to the film itself and representative of what it is like to actually watch it. Luke respects canine actors and gets to bring back a catchphrase. Emma faces her mortal enemy and just wants to get through this. Talking Points: A Bad Word, A.I. This iteration of Disney's new "classic" takes on Aliens, and boooooyyyy, do we have questions.1) How does one REALLY apply for college?2) If you replace a whole teenage girl with a pile of junk metal and a screen, and no one is there see it, will it go unnoticed?3) Who has been led to believe that Zombies, werewolves, and Aliens are real based on this Movie?4) Is the love story between shrimpy the mascot, and eel, potentially the most important love story in the franchise?5) How does. Addison's mom keep that wig so laid? These questions (maybe the answers as well?) and more, on this episode of Disney Deviants

Is mom-shaming on the rise? In this random yet highly entertaining episode a very tired Lizz and Kelly talk about Car Mom nesting, Oreo conspiracy theories, and the forgotten Dcom smash hit that should have won last episode's great eight. Kelly reveals the name everyone's guessing for her baby that is wrong and drops another baby name clue. The millennial word of the day is touch grass. As in, the people sending Kelly unhinged DMs about her kids' bedroom and LV bag really need to go touch some grass. Kelly and Lizz are both putting their word of the year to use and will be normalizing blocking people and saving a buck. Headlining today's driveway dump is Disney World hype. What's with the iconic food at this theme park? Is it as good as it looks or is it just glorified amusement park food? Kelly shares three things she's NEVER bought for a pregnancy including, obviously, a totally unsafe pregnancy seatbelt contraption. Lizz tests out here Oreo conspiracy theory on today's taste test with regular Oreos, double stuff Oreos, mega stuff Oreos, Oreo thins, caramel coconut flavor of Oreo, and the golden double stuffed Oreos — and a very scientific study from 2013. Dog girl and horse girl play a word car game and in industry news Kelly recaps her recent car tours and gives her heated opinion on dealership and independent car manufacturers sales drama. Hey everyone, it's Brink! It's Brink week! This week we're talking about Brink! Brink is a 1998 DCOM about aggressive inline rollerblading and we love it, for more reasons than we have space to go into here, but that's what the podcast is for! So, listen as we discuss the financial realities of Soul Skating, Team X-Bladz's exploitative employment practices, Brink being contractually obligated to respect his enemy Val in public, and more! If you've watched Brink! and have your own thoughts, email them to us at momcantcookpod@gmail.com for a chance to have them read out on the show. This episode is sponsored by Zocdoc. Dino Busalachi of Velta Technology talks to Dale about a 2021 security patch to DCOM that broke a number of ICS systems including Rockwell Automation and Siemens. Microsoft had a registry setting that disabled the patch and the incompatibility problem, but this ability to disable the patch goes away on 14 March 2023. Of course this topic leads us down the patching in ICS rabbit hole, hopefully with some informed and helpful information.

Give Me That D: A Disney Channel Original Movie Breakdown Podcast
Happy Holidays! We're back! Did you miss us? And more importantly, did you miss hockey? Because this week it's just Jake and Katelyn breaking down, “Go Figure!” You might be saying, “that sounds like a figure skating movie!” But you're only half right. Not only is this incorrectly spelled “Katelin” a truly unlikeable character with a smile that rivals the Joker's, she is a plushy loving “twirl girl” who has to play hockey at boarding school to get a chance at going to the Olympics….. are you following? We also have a DCOM first: a reasonable little brother who deserves justice. That's not even mentioning the pair of figure skating coaches that need to be in a Christopher Guest film immediately, “A Russian”, MORE robot propaganda, a 16 year old coach and a head coach taking sexual favors??? It's almost too much to digest! So make sure you have sturdy ankles and lace up for this one! Have fun!
