Have you ever sent someone thoughts and prayers? When someone is having a tough time, we instinctively want to help however we can, including prayer. But we don't always know how to pray or even if our prayers will make a difference. Jesus wants to change that. He is inviting us to join him in praying prayers for people that work. Join us as we learn from him how to upgrade our prayers for the people we know and love.
This week Pastor Neli explores how God moves powerfully through the persistent and consistent prayers of ordinary believers. We are reminded that prayer is far more than just asking God for help - it is an invitation to participate in His work. Even when our faith feels weak or an outcome doesn't match our exact expectations, we are encouraged knowing that our imperfect faith rests on a God who remains completely faithful. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands. And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. - Acts 6:7-9 (ESV)

We've all been told that we should pray. And we've heard stories of it working. But for many of us, when we've tried it, we didn't get the same results. So we lost confidence. Some of us gave up. Or worse, concluded no one was there. But what if that doesn't have to be our experience? What if there is a way to pray that works? That brings us closer to God, impacts our lives, and moves things in and around us. Join us as we learn from Jesus how to pray.
Are you feeling the weight of "digital stress"? In the final installment of our series on the Epistle of James, we examine how the connection of prayer provides a peace that no high-speed network can match. We look at the practical instructions James gives for prayer in all seasons of life—suffering, cheerfulness, and sickness—and why a "faith that works" always begins at the foot of God's throne.
In this episode, Leighann explores the powerful and often misunderstood concept of imprecatory prayers—prayers that call for God's judgment against evil. She shares her personal journey and biblical insights, encouraging believers to bring their raw emotions and sense of injustice before God in honesty and faith. Key Topics The meaning and biblical foundation of imprecatory Psalms How to reconcile these prayers with love and forgiveness The role of God's justice, sovereignty, and power in our prayers When and how to pray imprecatorily in your private prayer closet Examples of imprecatory Psalms and their relevance today The emotional and spiritual benefits of venting frustrations to God The importance of leaving justice in God's hands and trusting His timing Practical ways to process injustice and cultivate reconciliation Remember: It's healthy and biblical to be honest with God about your feelings, trusting that He is just, sovereign, and faithful to bring healing and justice in His perfect timing. If You Want to Go Deeper There is an extended portion of this conversation available inside the private Leighann Community. Stay tuned, more power coming your way as we examine The Prayer That Works from James 5.

Are you a bit skeptical about ‘prosperity prayers?' Have you tried them in the past and didn't see results? I admit I was skeptical too. Prayer is so personal, how can one person's prayer work for someone else? The truth is there is no secret prayer, like ‘abracadabra' that magically brings you prosperity. But there IS a simple and powerful prayer that sets the stage for greater prosperity! In this episode, I will share the simple prosperity prayer that my coach taught me, and why I find it SO helpful. I will also share the way I have been saying it and the miraculous results I have had, and how you can start to make this prayer your own. Does this prayer resonate with you? I would love you to try it for a week, and let me know what happens! Key Learnings: There is no prayer that works for all people, no magic words like ‘abracadabra'. But that does not mean that prayers don't work. The goal of prayer is to change YOU, and if a prayer can do that, it is a powerful prayer! This simple prosperity prayer works because it automatically puts you in a receptive state! That is the key to receiving more. And it also releases the control and allows the Universe to reveal even more to you than what you could ask for. That is what makes it miraculous. Here is this simple prayer: “Divine Mother, show me how good it can be.” “The best prayers don't change your life, they change YOU.” Seeking a spiritual coach? We know prayer is important, because Jesus repeatedly showed us how important it is in the New Testament. And of all things the disciples could have asked Jesus to teach them about, they asked him to teach them how to pray. This week, Pastor Steve Stroope talks about the six prerequisites to answered prayer, and how we can start believing that prayer actually works.
