In this message from Ephesians 3:14-21, Pastor Jim walks through Paul's breathtaking prayer that drives him to his knees. After unfolding the cosmic scope of God's plan to unite all things in Christ and form one new people, Jim shows that the only way forward is through the Spirit's power at work in our inner being. This passage centers on God's love, our ongoing grasp of that love, and the glorious goal of being filled with the fullness of God. Jim unpacks what it means for Christ to dwell in our hearts, not as a fleeting feeling but as the deep center of our identity, shaping our affections, obedience, and communal life together. The love of Christ is wider, longer, higher, and deeper than we can comprehend, yet we are invited to press on and seize it daily. As we are strengthened by the Spirit and rooted in love, we become a living display of God's glory in the church, a foretaste of the day when all things are united in Jesus.

Pastor West explores Genesis 14, focusing on Abram's rescue of his nephew Lot from a coalition of powerful kings. He describes how Abram, acting as a prototypical hero, led a small group of 318 men to defeat an unstoppable army through faith and divine intervention. His narrative is presented as a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, the ultimate rescuer who leaves safety to save those captured by wickedness. His sermon also highlights Abram's encounter with the priest-king Melchizedek and his firm refusal to accept rewards from the King of Sodom. Ultimately, he encourages believers to prioritize God's glory over worldly gain and to trust in the Good Shepherd who pursues those who have gone astray.Support the showThanks for listening! This sermon from Acts 3:1-10 explores the healing of a lame man by Peter and John at the temple gate. Pastor Jim establishes the context of early Jewish Christians transitioning from Old Covenant ceremonial laws to New Covenant spiritual practices. The message focuses on five foundations of ministry demonstrated through this miracle: the priority of prayer, the motive of compassion, the pursuit of connection, the message of the gospel, and the support of the church. The sermon emphasizes that while physical healing is wonderful, people's greatest need is spiritual healing through Jesus Christ. The transformed life of the healed man serves as a compelling witness that draws others to wonder about God's power. Please let us know if you are watching our stream for the first time, if you have made a decision, or need prayer – text CONNECT to (941) 260-1395 or click here: https://form.church/connectionClick here if you would like to give online: https://subsplash.com/u/-QJD4RD/giveMusic used with permission, CCLI License # 594759, Streaming Plus License # 21044022

This week, Pastor Jim walks us through 1 Samuel 2:11–3:21, contrasting the corruption of Eli's sons with the growing faithfulness of young Samuel. In a time when “the word of the Lord was rare,” God calls Samuel by name, showing that He is still speaking even in spiritually dark seasons. Samuel's response—“Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening”—challenges us to posture our hearts in readiness and obedience. The passage reminds us that God is raising up faithful servants and that His Word never fails to accomplish His purposes.Scripture: 1 Samuel 2:11-3:21Recorded: February 15, 2026

In this pastoral message from “Co-Workers, Servants, and Friends – Romans 16:1–16”, Pastor Jim Schultz walks us through the often-overlooked closing chapter of the book of Romans. What may seem like a simple list of names becomes a beautiful portrait of Christian love, unity, and faithful service. From Phoebe's generous support and servant leadership, to the courageous partnership of Prisca and Aquila, we see that every believer has a meaningful role in God's kingdom. Pastor Jim reminds us that what matters most is not how we serve, but that we serve—working hard in the Lord with sincere love for one another. This sermon encourages us to embrace our place in the body of Christ, celebrate the diversity of the church, and cultivate deep, gospel-shaped friendships. As we near the end of Romans, may we be inspired to live as faithful co-workers, humble servants, and beloved friends for the glory of Christ.

In this message from Ephesians 3:1–13, Pastor Jim explores Paul's surprising digression about imprisonment, his call, and the breathtaking purpose of the church. What looks small and ordinary on the surface is actually cosmic in significance. Jim shows how Paul understood himself as a steward entrusted with the key to God's household, revealing that Jews and Gentiles now belong together as one new family in Christ. Through the church, God's multi-faceted wisdom is put on display not only to the world but to the spiritual powers themselves. This passage reminds us that our ordinary faithfulness, unity, forgiveness, and love carry eternal weight. The church is not the goal but the preview of what God is building, a foretaste of the coming kingdom where every tribe and language will gather around Jesus. Even suffering becomes part of the story as we live out worship, obedience, and proclamation in a world that resists reconciliation.
Pastor Jim explores the fluctuating nature of faith through the biblical narrative of Abram and Lot in Genesis 13. He emphasizes that true repentance requires a specific confession of sin and a return to God rather than offering vague apologies. By comparing the two men, he illustrates how wealth serves as a spiritual test, leading Lot toward greed and isolation while prompting Abram toward humble generosity. Ultimately, he encourages listeners to lift their eyes toward eternal promises rather than earthly treasures. He concludes that human longing for a "paradise" like Eden can only be satisfied through faith in Jesus Christ Support the showThanks for listening! God is not dead! How often do we consider that the God we pray to and worship is alive? If He were dead, He couldn't hear us, speak to us, or answer prayers. But every single day, God Almighty hears and answers us! It's amazing how our outlooks change when we lean into that truth. Let's pray to God today and know that He's living and listening.

This week, Pastor Jim walks us through 1 Samuel 2:1–10, Hannah's prayer of praise after seeing God answer her deepest cry. Her song reminds us that the Lord is the one who lifts the humble, brings down the proud, and turns weakness into strength. We're shown a God who is fully in control, faithful, just, and powerful in ways we often don't expect. This passage calls us to trust the Lord not only with our prayers, but also with our praise when He moves.Scripture: 1 Samuel 2:1-20Recorded: February 8, 2026

In week five of our series on the book of Job, Pastor Jim examines the tension we feel when bad things happen to good people, challenging the formulas we often use to make sense of suffering. Through Job's honest wrestling, we are reminded that God cannot be reduced to simple explanations and that real faith brings even our hardest questions before Him.

Pastor Jim unpacks Ephesians 2:11-22 to show how Jesus is not only our peace but the one who has destroyed every dividing wall. What once separated Jew and Gentile, near and far, is now reconciled through the cross. Jim reminds us that salvation is not just about forgiveness but about forming a new family, a new humanity, where God's Spirit dwells. The church is not a religious club or a place for behavior management. It is God's living temple on earth. In Christ, our identities are made secure, hostility is put to death, and unity is possible not through human effort but by the presence of God himself living among his people.

Pastor West examines the biblical story of Abram and Sarai in Egypt to illustrate the fragility of human faith during times of crisis. He contrasts Abram's initial obedience to God's call with his subsequent lapse into fear and deception when faced with a severe famine. By analyzing Abram's choice to lie about his marriage to avoid danger, he highlights how relying on human strategy over divine prayer leads to a "snowball of sin." Ultimately, he emphasizes God's unwavering faithfulness to His promises despite human failures, while challenging believers to maintain integrity and transparency when their faith is tested.Support the showThanks for listening! We're very excited and honored to have Pastor Jim Hennesy with us this Sunday bringing God's word! He is the pastor of Trinity Church in Cedar Hill Texas, a church making a massive impact in their city. Pastor Jim speaks on the promises of God, and how our decision to stand on them and trust him rather than the lies of the enemy determines our future!
How can we expect God to change our lives if we don't tell Him what we need? The act of pouring out our hearts—laying every thought, feeling, fear, and expectation at Jesus' feet—is what deepens our relationship with Him. We can tell the Creator of the universe how we feel at any given moment, and He cares! Let's take advantage of that wonderful privilege today!
Too many people are hurt by the church and pastoral abuses. The consequences are real, but the greatest loss is the loss of faith that often follows hurt. In our conversation today, Pastor Jim and I discussed the need for the church to do better and how Christians can both serve the church and guard their faith against its failures. We also hope the conversation can help church leaders better care for those who have experienced hurt. It's an important topic that's too big for one episode, but we hope our conversation can be both helpful and encouraging to those looking for a way forward.
This week, Pastor Jim walks us through 1 Samuel 1:1–28, the story of Hannah's deep sorrow, honest prayer, and faithful trust in God. In her pain and longing, Hannah pours her heart out before the Lord, showing us what it looks like to bring our burdens to God without holding back. God hears her prayer and responds in His perfect timing, reminding us that He is attentive to the cries of His people. The passage challenges us to trust God with what matters most and to remain faithful, even while we wait.Recorded: 02-01-26Scripture: 1 Samuel 1:1-28

In the fourth week of our sermon series on the book of Job, Pastor Jim leads us into the sacred work of lament. Through Job's unfiltered grief, we see that faith does not require us to suppress our sorrow but invites us to bring it honestly before God.
