Jeremy Armstrong extends his stay in the Asylum to continue the Avery/Dassey discussion *Production Note* Due to severe weather on the east coast the internet connection drops during the episode and a part of the conversation is missing
The Rev. Dr. Lee Hinson-Hasty in conversation with the Rev. Brian Ellison. Ellison is executive director of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, a national organization engaging, educating and equipping congregations and councils toward an equity not yet fully realized for LGBTQIA+ people in church and society. He is also stated clerk of the Synod of Mid-America and of Heartland Presbytery. Additionally, he is host/contributor at KCUR, NPR in Kansas City, where he hosts talk shows, moderates community forums, and anchors election night and breaking news coverage. Brian was previously pastor of a congregation for 13 years and lives in Kansas City with his partner, Troy, and their two dogs. Production Note: Due to streaming quality problems, several gaps were introduced into Rev. Ellison's comments. These gaps have been deleted with the attempt to retain the original intent and focus of the conversation.
Treks and the City with Alice Wetterlund and Veronica Osorio
Crooked Media's Travis Helwig joins Alice and Veronica to unpack the Prime Directive and helping doomed planets in TNG S7E13 "Homeward." PRODUCTION NOTE: Due to technical difficulties during the recording of S7E12, "The Pegasus," that episode will come out Monday, 2/8! "Homeward" does, however, technically precede it in Stardates. In many ways, we are just correcting the record. We got tired of executive functioning feeling like some ephemeral concept so we decided to reach out to someone who wrote a book on the subject, Dr. Adel Najdowski to demystify the term. Besides getting a great behavioral definition of executive functioning, we also get a whole boatload of tips on how to teach these very important skills. We’re pretty sure this episode is so fun, you won’t have to worry about maintaining focus! PRODUCTION NOTE: Due to some wonky technical problems, this episode has a few choppy bits in the audio. It doesn’t spoil any of the content, but we wanted to give you the heads-up so you were prepared. Articles discussed this episode: Najdowski, A.C. (2017). Flexible and focused. Production Note: Due to scheduling conflicts, the only way to get this week's episode out meant that we did not have access to our usual recording setup. As a result, this week's episode ended up with some unforeseen audio quality issues, for which we apologize. Larry and Eddie V are back at it this week with another round of games of the week, discussion on the tragic events of the past weekend in Jacksonville, an awesome announcement from Limited Run Games, Larry taking on a new project, and more!!!
I talked with Billy, a recovering addict, about his struggles with addiction, being a parent to a trans child, and taking prescription heroin. *Billy is not his real name, and all instances have been beeped out. Production Note: Due to some technical issues while recording, the quality of much of the episode is a little rough and quiet. Sorry, we did everything we could. Audio is louder and cleans up at about 1:25:50 Web: www.markhughescomedy.com Twitter: @PTT604 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PTT604 Patreon: www.patreon.com/markhughescomic

For our very special 100th EPISODE, we're joined by Dave LeBlanc, of Generation Oddcast, to host the West Coast / East Coast Rap Battle Throwdown by world famous rappers, mcKILLough and Tha D.**PRODUCTION NOTE: Due to unforseen issues beyond our control, some of the audio in the episode was unexpectedly not recorded properly. We managed to save what we could, but some of the spoken dialogue is not to the standard that we are usually happy with. However, we worked very hard on the making of this week's episode, and while we apologize for some of the audio quality, we'd rather have this episode released as best as it can instead of not at all. Thank you for your understanding.** --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/theskinnywithmikeandadam/support
