Bearing Fruit
In the final week of our Entrusted series, we see how the unfaithful servant wasted what was given to him out of fear and complacency, missing the purpose his master intended. Jesus warns us through this parable that fear can paralyze our faith, and wasted potential is still disobedience. Yet, when we courageously use what God has entrusted to us—our time, gifts, and opportunities—faithfulness leads to joy and fruit that outlives us. This week challenges us to live not for “well liked,” but for “well done, good and faithful servant.”

Join us as we explore Jesus’ Parable of the Talents and discover that everything we have—our time, talents, resources, and influence—is entrusted to us by God, not given by accident. Parables reveal and confront, showing us the condition of our hearts and calling us to faithful stewardship in the present as citizens of the Kingdom. We are challenged to live with open hands, investing what God has given us for His purposes, not hiding it out of fear or selfishness. Ultimately, this story reminds us that we are entrusted—on purpose, for a purpose—and that our faithful response impacts eternity.

Building God's Kingdom, God's Way!
We serve a generous God who gives abundantly to us as we steward for Him. Because God owns everything and we manage things for Him, He will hold us accountable for what we do.

Andrew Carnegie was one of the wealthiest men who ever lived. He was industrious, clever, personable, and had great financial sense. But he was far from a self-made man. He was born at the right place, got involved in the right business, and took advantage of the opportunities given to him. We ourselves have been given a great opportunity; the Lord has left us with a great treasure to invest. What will we do with it?

In this message, we read and considered Matthew 25:14-30, which is the Parable of the Bags of Gold. We are reminded that God provides us as followers of Jesus with unique abilities and opportunities. We learned that God expects us to use them to serve His kingdom in this world.

Before we begin, I'd like to ask you a few questions: 1. "Do you have any talents?" 2. "How did you get so good at your talents?" 3. "What do you do with your talents?" In today's teaching, Pastor Ben uses Matthew 25:14-30 to explain to us how important it is that we share our talents, which are God-given, by the way. So, do you hoard your talents or do you share them with others, as God commands us to do?" Do you know what it means to "follow" Jesus? Due to social media, in today's society, the word "follow" means to simply press a button and "become a fan" of someone. But to "Follow Jesus" means something totally different. "Following Jesus" means to read and study the Word of God, and apply what we learn from the Word of God to our every day lives; to love people in the same manner that Jesus loves people. Pastor Ben explains Matthew 25 1:13 by showing us how a Jewish Wedding works. The wise bridesmaids had oil in their lamps when the Bridegroom came for His Bride. They were ready as we should be for our Lord's eminent return! Do you know what it means to "follow" Jesus? Sunday, April 24, 2022 – The title of the message today is, “The Parable of the Talents – Accountability & Rewards”. This is an interesting parable for a couple of reasons. Jesus felt the lessons learned from this were important enough to say it twice and secondly, things that are said toward the end of one’s life are of utmost importance. So for these reasons, this message is important for us to hear and apply. One of the most important principles is the fact that “Accountability = Rewardability”. Society, in Jesus’ day and even more so today, is against the principle of being accountable. Why? Accountability is a threat to those that are knowingly not doing the things they know are right. It matters not, if they are on the job, in a marriage, being a good or bad citizen, or anywhere else in life – people that are not living right are afraid of being accountable because they know their true actions and motives will be revealed. There’s so much to learn and apply that I encourage you to listen in and learn with us. We need to live life so that we are looking forward to judgment day, not fear it…. Jesus says He is coming soon with His rewards with Him. Are you looking forward to that day?
