Grace Free Lutheran Church Maple Grove, MN Pastor Mark Molstre Confirmation Sunday
In today’s passage the Apostle expresses his affection in effusive terms and “joy” is introduced as a key theme in this letter. Understanding “joy” - especially its basis and object - helps us more rightly view others and our relationships with them.
God has a wonderful plan for each of us as we work together for his glory. Sometimes we need to stop and pray intentionally for others to have the wisdom and insight God wants them to have and to find joy in knowing his plan.

2. Philippians 1:3-11-Joy in Fellowship-Part 1 (3-19-23) Pastor Phil Ballmaier Calvary Chapel Elk Grove 3-19-23 Pastor Phil normally approaches the study of The Bible verse-by-verse, but The Lord has laid it on his heart to study The Book of Philippians topically. Today he reflects on the theme of Philippians. Joy and rejoicing. The Book of Philippians was written by the Apostle Paul while he was imprisoned in Rome, likely around 61 or 62 AD. It is one of the four 'prison epistles' that Paul penned while in captivity. He counted it a joy to allow God to work everything for his good—even imprisonment. The Book of Philippians teaches us the secret of having joy in a less than perfect world. Calvary Chapel Elk Grove is a non-denominational fellowship located in Roselle, a northwest suburb of Chicago in Illinois. Today's video message: https://vimeo.com/809530297 Our primary mission is to teach God's Word in its' entirety, verse-by-verse, precept upon precept. We believe that the Word of God is living and powerful, and because of Jesus' work on the Cross, He can and does move in the lives of His people.
