A major winter storm has enveloped the Northeast, unleashing blizzard conditions that have resulted in widespread disruptions across multiple states. The severity of this storm has manifested in over two and a half feet of accumulated snow in certain areas, alongside extensive power outages and approximately 7,400 flight cancellations. Furthermore, the Potomac interceptor collapse has precipitated a significant environmental concern, with more than 200 million gallons of wastewater overflowing into the Potomac River, although DC Water assures that drinking water remains unaffected. As we traverse through the impacted states, we will elucidate the emergency measures being implemented, including travel restrictions and service suspensions. This analysis seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the storm's repercussions and the ongoing responses by state authorities to mitigate its effects.Takeaways:* The Northeast is currently experiencing severe winter weather, resulting in significant disruptions across multiple states.* Reports indicate that the blizzard has led to widespread power outages and thousands of flight cancellations in the region.* DC Water has reported a major wastewater overflow incident affecting the Potomac River, with ongoing efforts to mitigate the situation.* Massachusetts has declared a state of emergency due to heavy snowfall and advises state workers to remain at home for safety.* New York City has closed schools and halted public transportation in response to the severe blizzard conditions affecting the area.* Rhode Island has reported record snowfall, leading to the suspension of all public transit services until conditions improve.Sources[USGS | https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/feed/v1.0/summary/4.5_day.geojson][Reuters | https://www.reuters.com/world/us/powerful-winter-storm-shuts-schools-disrupts-travel-across-us-northeast-2026-02-23/][DC Water | https://www.dcwater.com/about-dc-water/media/news/update-excavation-site-extended-around-damaged-section-potomac][Reuters | https://www.reuters.com/world/us/powerful-winter-storm-shuts-schools-disrupts-travel-across-us-northeast-2026-02-23/][Reuters | https://www.reuters.com/world/us/powerful-winter-storm-shuts-schools-disrupts-travel-across-us-northeast-2026-02-23/][Reuters | https://www.reuters.com/world/us/powerful-winter-storm-shuts-schools-disrupts-travel-across-us-northeast-2026-02-23/][Reuters | https://www.reuters.com/world/us/powerful-winter-storm-shuts-schools-disrupts-travel-across-us-northeast-2026-02-23/][Reuters | https://www.reuters.com/world/us/powerful-winter-storm-shuts-schools-disrupts-travel-across-us-northeast-2026-02-23/] This is a public episode. Last week, we concluded the Overflow series with a message about the Holy Spirit and the topic of the Trinity. With people of so many different upbringings and theological backgrounds attending Covenant Life, there are lot of teachings and assumptions floating around — and not all of them are true. It may seem odd, but in order to believe the Bible, there are quite a few things we have to unlearn. This week, we’re starting a brand-new series about the Holy Spirit called Holy Water. Together, we’re going to slow down and look at the person of the Holy Spirit in scripture. The goal is to demystify the Holy Spirit and discover the God who has been here the whole time, answering questions we might have been too afraid or ashamed to ask. Why? Because you can’t have Jesus and reject the Holy Spirit.

Send me a Text Message! The Jesus Way is not just about finding something that will satisfy the dryness of my soul it's about finding something that will so fill me up that I overflow with life.  I can't help but give life away! In fact, few things get us closer to the life we want to get than giving away the life that we have. Don't we all want to get a life? That's why we're here. In fact, that's why Jesus came. In John 10:10, Jesus said, "I came so that you could have abundant life." So the Bible seems to suggest that there are different levels of life. This episode will look at a few of those different levels, but the one I'm aiming for is when I have so much life that life overflows from me into the people around me. Ask yourself, "Does my life overflow with life?"

In Episode 278, we talked about clearing our plates—letting God remove what we were never meant to carry. But once things come off, a new question rises: What do I say yes to now? In this episode, Learning to Serve From Overflow, we talk about how to choose the right yeses without filling our calendars right back up or draining our hearts in the process. We explore: Why “time management” is a myth and what actually needs managing The difference between managing your yeses and protecting your noes How rest and withdrawal are part of faithful service, not a failure of it What it looks like to be busy with God-given purpose instead of pressure How planning with God at the center shapes everyday decisions The power of an “approval pause” for mamas who tend to people-please This conversation is for the mama who wants to serve well without running dry—who's learning that obedience doesn't require exhaustion and that overflow comes from alignment, not availability. Many of us come from small, impossible beginnings. We have to fight through so much trauma and drama to get to a good place - and in that fight we learn so much about ourselves and about other people that shapes us and helps us move past the hurt and pain. And through all of that, we begin to realize that God was with us. He is with us now, and He will never leave us. We begin to understand that He protected us, helped us, encouraged us through all of it - and He is still doing that today because He loves each one of us so, so much. He knows our struggles and our pain, and He longs to take us from our small beginning to His abundance of overflow. Are you ready for it? Throughout the Overflow series, we have explored the idea that “what fills you reveals you.” The Bible teaches that things you are full of will overflow. This means that, if you want your life to overflow with the fullness and richness that Jesus died to give us, you have to make sure you are full of the right stuff. We have talked about being full of love, joy, and grace, and we have also talked about emptying ourselves of things that don’t reflect Christ. If our job as believers is to be a good reflection of Jesus, then we have lots of work to do before our lives consistently overflow with stuff that looks like Him. Love, joy, and grace is a good start, but there is almost no end to the ingredients with which we need to fill ourselves. We could sum it up by saying that we’d like the overflow of our lives to be Jesus. This week, in the final message of the Overflow series, we’re going to talk about Overflowing Jesus.

Private righteousness claims: I don't murder, I don't steal, I'm polite to others, I volunteer sometimes, I wash my hands after using the bathroom, I'm a good person. Overflow righteousness says: Our community redistributes resources so nobody goes hungry. We shelter people the state wants to cage, and absorb legal liability to protect the vulnerable. The budget reflects that we value other people's survival over institutional preservation. We organize collectively to confront systems that grind people down. Private righteousness is manageable, respectable, safe. Overflow righteousness can get you in trouble. Subscribe to us on iTunes! Sermon text: web | doc

Slow down!Today on Overflow with Kimberly Snider, we're talking about something so many high-achieving women crave but rarely give themselves permission to experience: silence, strategic thinking time, and choosing ourselves first.I'm thrilled to welcome Emma Marriott — HR entrepreneur, people & culture strategist, listener, engager, and empowerer. Emma describes herself as an ambivert — someone who can love connection and conversation, and also deeply value quiet, solitude, and space to think.Emma recently took a 10-day course in silence, and I love how she describes that experience — that moment of, “Ignorance is bliss… what did I sign up for?” — which quickly became more like, “the teacher appears when the student is ready.” Through meditation, stillness, and sitting with her own thoughts, she discovered calm, clarity, and a different level of strategic thinking that silence can create.Emma writes beautifully about the reality so many of us are living right now — that somewhere along the way, caring for everyone else became more important than caring for ourselves. And now we're paying for it with burnout, resentment, exhaustion, and the feeling of being constantly behind. In her recent blog she says, “2026 needs to be the year we get a little more selfish.” Not selfish in the negative sense — but selfish as in reclaiming energy, time, peace, and boundariesas responsible leadership.Connect with Emma Marriott here:Website: iris-hr.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/emma-marriott-/By the way ...Grab this 5 page sneak-peek of the 90-Days in OVERFLOW Journal This isn't another journal. It is a reset. Jesus said two things that have led to the Overflow Series. First, He said He came to give us a full and abundant life. This is in contrast to the killing, stealing, and destroying that the enemy does. Jesus wants you full of the life He died to give you. Second, Jesus said whatever is on the inside of you will eventually overflow into the outside. You can only get so full of something before it overflows. What fills you, reveals you — for better or worse. Over the past three messages in this series, we’ve been focused on filling ourselves up with things that are a good reflection of the character and nature of Jesus, so we can overflow with things that look like Him. It makes sense that filling yourself with things like love, joy and grace will result in an overflow that leads you to that full and abundant life Jesus talked about, but there are three really basic truths we need to explore before we go any further.

What does it take to create a beautiful and safe relationship? In this episode I am revisiting combining two analogies I've used before, the bucket analogy and the relationship circle, and I'm calling it the Relationship Bucket. How do we fill this bucket up? Who is responsible for filling it? What things will fill it? Is how women fill it different than how men fill it? All of these questions and more are part of our discussion today. In this year's State of the Church message, we unpack our theme for 2026: Overflow—abounding in love for God and others. Rooted in Romans 5:5, we explore what it looks like to live a life filled by the Holy Spirit and marked by overflow in every area: our personal walk, our gifts, our relationships, and our mission. We also kick off the Who's Your One campaign, challenging each of us to intentionally share our faith and invite others into the love of Jesus.

This week, we are continuing the "Overflow Series," which is rooted in the premise that what is on the outside of a person — our words, actions, and attitudes — starts on the inside. To change the outside, you must start on the inside. This series encourages us to get full of the things God wants for us, allowing them to naturally flow out of us. In this message, Pastor John emphasizes that Jesus came to earth "full of grace and truth," which was a mark of His divinity. Being full of grace means you are a reflection of your Heavenly Father. Ultimately, if we are to be like Jesus, we've got to learn to live full of grace, which will then overflow as salvation, joy, strength, and love in our lives.

Today on Overflow with Kimberly Snider, we're diving into one of my favorite topics—self-care—not as a nice-to-have, but as leadership… beginning with bubble baths, bath salts, and the radical idea of actually filling your own cup.I am so excited to welcome Melissa Dawn, founder of “CEO of Your Life.”Melissa is a Master Certified Coach, executive speaker, and leadership mentor who has helped thousands of leaders navigate high-stakes transformation—without losing themselves in the process. She blends executive coaching and leadership strategy with energy mastery and emotional intelligence, reminding us that leadership is really an inside-out practice. On her website she says something I absolutely love: she recommends salt baths to her executive coaching clientsbecause when leaders truly care for themselves, they become better leaders—and they're empowered to better support the people around them.Because here's the truth: executives and high-level leaders worry about their families, struggle with sleep, stress, self-care, pain, insecurities, and self-doubt… just like everyone else. Many of us keep making the bare minimum deposits into our own energy, then immediately drain it again—repeat, repeat, repeat. Melissa invites us to step out of that cycle.Let's talk:Self-care is essential for effective leadership.Leaders often neglect their own well-being.Energy management is crucial for sustaining leadership roles.Morning routines can significantly impact daily energy levels.Mindfulness practices can help manage stress and emotions.Creating positive habits requires consistency and intention.Empathy towards oneself fosters better self-care practices.Small rituals can lead to significant emotional release.Choosing wellness is a proactive approach to health.Modeling self-care sets a positive example for others.Melissa DawnWebsite: https://ceoofyour.life/LinkedIN: https://www.linkedin.com/in/melissadawnp/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ceo_of_your_life/and Melissa's blog on a morning routine: https://ceoofyour.life/2025/03/harnessing-momentum-tunnels-for-a-powerful-morning-routine/ Grab this 5 page sneak-peek of the 90-Days in OVERFLOW Journal This isn't another journal. It is a reset. In this message, Filled to Overflow, we dive into God's design for a life empowered by the Holy Spirit—not running on yesterday's strength, but living from continual renewal. This episode invites you to stop striving, stop comparing, and stop performing—and instead come thirsty, dependent, and open to the daily infilling God promises. If you're tired of exhaustion and ready for overflow, this message is for you.

High performers facing burnout and decision fatigue often wonder if alignment can survive real life. In this episode, we test overflow in one real decision and one real moment—so you can feel what changes when pressure no longer leads. There comes a moment for many high-capacity humans when the theory finally meets reality. You've done the inner work. You've felt alignment. You've tasted what life can feel like without constant pressure. And then real life shows up.A hard decision.A charged conversation.A moment where the old patterns would normally take over.In this episode of The Recalibration, we zoom all the way in—not to explain overflow, but to test it.This conversation is for leaders and high performers who are quietly asking:What if this falls apart when it actually matters? What if overflow only works when things are calm? What happens when there are stakes, expectations, or tension in the room?Rather than offering hype or motivation, this episode brings evidence. What you'll hear in this episode:Why overflow doesn't remove hard moments—it changes how you meet themHow pressure once created speed, but alignment creates steadinessWhat happens in your body when you stop bracing before decisionsWhy staying present preserves your energy instead of costing itHow identity stability allows you to lead without abandoning yourselfThis episode weaves together themes from across Season Three:Burnout recovery that doesn't require disengagementDecision fatigue that lifts when urgency steps asideRole confusion and identity drift that settle through embodimentSuccess without fulfillment that gives way to grounded presenceSpiritual exhaustion that eases when performance no longer defines worthAt the heart of this episode is the core truth of the Identity-Level Recalibration (ILR) pathway:This isn't another mindset tactic or performance strategy. ILR is the root-level recalibration that makes every other tool effective again. When identity is stable and the nervous system is regulated:You see more informationYou respond instead of reactYou don't fracture yourself to manage the momentPressure once felt like protection.Overflow proves itself through experience.Today's Micro RecalibrationBeExplore Identity-Level Recalibration→ Join the next Friday Recalibration Live experience → Take your listening deeper! High performers often wonder if life after burnout can actually feel different. This episode explores what living from overflow really feels like—how decisions, leadership, and energy shift when pressure is no longer the fuel. Many high-capacity humans reach a point where understanding alignment isn't the question anymore. The real question becomes quieter — and more honest:Can I actually live this way?Not just understand it.Not just touch it in moments. But live from it — on an ordinary Tuesday, inside real decisions, real leadership, and real responsibility. In this episode of The Recalibration, Julie Holly moves beyond insight and into embodiment, exploring what it truly feels like to live from overflow after years of pressure-driven performance. This conversation is especially for high performers navigating:burnout recoverydecision fatiguesuccess without fulfillmentrole confusion and identity driftspiritual exhaustionOverflow isn't more energy. It's energy without internal war.Living from overflow doesn't look like constant motivation or elevated emotion. Instead, it shows up quietly and consistently in real life:Decisions land with less internal debateHard conversations no longer require bracingLeadership feels calmer, clearer, and more groundedPresence replaces urgencyEnergy is no longer spent managing pressure, proving worth, or self-monitoringILR is not another mindset tactic or productivity strategy. It's the root-level recalibration that makes every other tool effective again — because it begins with identity, not behavior. When identity is stable and the nervous system is regulated:energy becomes availableclarity replaces forceleadership stabilizesendurance replaces adrenalineNot because you're doing more —but because you're no longer fighting yourself. This is what sustainable leadership feels like. This is what embodiment sounds like. This is what living from overflow actually is.Today's Micro RecalibrationPause and ask yourself — without trying to change anything:Where am I moving today without internal resistance? You're not optimizing. You're noticing.Ease is information. And that's where alignment is already alive.Explore Identity-Level Recalibration→ Join the next Friday Recalibration Live experience → Take your listening deeper!
