Let’s take a moment to separate the real from the fake.. How many friends can you call when you’re stuck on the side of the road or going through a bad break up? If it took you more than a minute to think of a couple people, guess what? They are NOT your real friends. On this episode, Dewey kicks it with Taneisha and Tarik, two people who aren’t new but very true to the camera and the mic. Taneisha is a news broadcaster and Tarik is an aspiring actor who also has his own podcast! The topic at hand is friends and let’s just say, the tea is hot! Taneisha shares her experiences with opening up too soon while Tarik explains why it’s important to know the difference between a “friend” and an “associate.” Of course Dewey has a lot to say because when it comes to some of his friends, they never seem to hold it down. They also go down a list of some of the wildest things they’ve experienced with a friend so if you have ever had a problem with a friend or associate, this is the episode for you! It's time for a listener money story! This week we interview TaNeisha Barton, who entered college with a lofty goal of graduating with her PhD by the time she was 30. After graduation, TaNeisha decided to take a real look at her student loans. With 112,000K in loans, and mounting credit card debt, she needed a plan, fast! TaNeisha met her now-husband and with his support, she started following what she calls Dave Ramsey "light." After only 18 months, she had paid her student loans off in full! She credits being the "No" girl for making it happen. Today, TaNeisha and her husband are focused on paying off their mortgage.TaNeisha's story focuses on being honest with yourself about your real numbers. She went all the way through her PhD program with the attitude that as long as she was making money, she was fine. Through this process to become debt-free, she learned valuable lessons, including the fact that if it were easy, everyone would do it! Oh, and her "pro-tip" for shopping on Amazon alone is worth a million!

Tune into this interview conducted with Empowerment Enthusiast Taneisha Anderson. Taneisha is an Atlanta, GA transplant and Grand Rapids, MI native. With checking off all the check boxes society states would bring happiness and fulfillment, she found herself unfulfilled and on the sofa of a therapist. The journey through therapy was a lonely one for Taneisha at that time, being that the stigma of mental health was strong and the conversations about mental wellness were nonexistent, especially within the African – American communities. After years into therapy, not only was Taneisha able to gain clarity around her perspective, decision style, and triggers, she also had a testimony that created a fire for to go back and pour into her community and circles. This is when Taneisha’s advocacy and platform as an Empowerment Enthusiast was birthed. Episode Summary In this All Wrapped Up episode, I do a recap of the key takeaways on Dangers of Premarital Sex and bring everything together from a Biblical perspective. I also answer some of the questions posed by a listener who reached out in tears after listening to Taneisha and Monique's episode. Key Takeaways Our abuse of sex (i.e. premarital sex) gives the enemy the legal right and authority for him to torment us in that area and consistently plague us with the desire even when we do not want it (5:53) We have to denounce every attachment, break any marriages in the spiritual realm, if we are to begin to break away from sexual sin (9:21) We need deliverance and deliverance is getting rid of evil spirits from our lives (9:30) When we walk away we may struggle with how to walk in our new identity (17:08) You have to practice beforehand how you'll respond in difficult situations if you want to ensure you are prepared to deal with those situations (19:20) Top Quotes Sit before the Lord, meditate on his word, create the atmosphere for Him to speak to us, repent, of course and ask him to shut doors and cut relationships and ties with persons that we have had sex with (14:00) You can't defeat a thing, if you don't practice what's needed to defeat it (19:18) Practice to speak it (what God says about you) so that when somebody comes at you in a negative way you don't have to react negatively, because you have already practiced in your body, in your mind, will and emotions to react or respond the way Jesus would want you to (19:52) Invincibility is about going and having faith and not stopping...(keep going) based on what God has said, what He has promised, what He wants us to do, and be obedient (23:43) Resources IG Blog Post: Sex Misused or Abused Leads to Poor Spiritual Health Worksheet: Self-Deliverance Activity Video: How to Keep your Deliverance Scripture references: Mark 5:1-20, Acts 16: 16-24, Jeremiah 1: 10 For Deliverance Ministry Fellowship Tabernacle: 1 (876) 933-5822 Love and Faith Ministries: 1 (876) 929-3968 Worship & Faith Int'l Fellowship: WAFIF Trumpet Call Ministries Int'l: 1 (876) 971-1772 Stay Connected Thanks for listening to this episode. Today I'm going into The Chat Room where women from around the world join me in my virtual studio to discuss the topic of the week. The conversations are really eye-opening and we usually uncover nuggets to help us all live this single life like a boss. Episode Summary In this episode of The Chat Room, I speak with Monique and Taneisha and they're open and honest about their sexual lives prior to coming to Christ. Monique admits to living a homosexual life after being abused by a female family friend at the age of 8 while Taneisha talks about early pregnancy at age 15. The two describe the struggles and the challenges including the spiritual attacks they came under. These women of God are now free from all that and were happy to share the lessons learned since and while going through their deliverance. Key Takeaways Molestation and early sex opens up our appetite for sex (3:16) Sexual sin can lead to sexual immorality and perversion (4:07) Even after coming to Christ you may find it hard to break away and that brings its own guilt (5:11) When temptation comes there is always a way of escape (7:02) The Word of God is what will bring transformation and will help us to no longer have the appetite for sin (10:46) Some attractions are not real, they're simply soul ties (15:13) Some things require that we ask God for strategies in order to be set free (30:49) Top Quotes Sin is so destructive by nature it will cause you not to operate in your God given purpose (5:41) If we can't be truthful with God, then there's no way we're ever going to get delivered. There's no way we're ever going to get out of the situation (6:37) I didn't love the man, I lust the man (15:16) Until your desire for God becomes deeper than the desire for a man then and only then will God release him unto you (15:46) Something said to me in my Spirit, who do you love more? (21:00) Because the enemy is going to come with it again. When he comes with it again you don't have to fall prey to the enemy (25:14) There are things that we by ourselves cannot stop...cannot get out of, because of of how long we have been in it or because you are not so strong spiritually (30:24) I started to pray and I heard the Lord say write down the name of everybody I used to sleep with (34:32) Stay Connected Thanks for listening to this episode. We are here with a bonus episode of Teach Me How To Love You Better! Today's teacher is none other than Queen Poiison, a self published author and poet. She and I go a ways back. But we have also seen each other grow. So it has been a while since we have connected on audio. So, BJ took advantage of the opportunity that they were both in New York...to sit her down to discuss gender inequalities, in terms of communication. She brought an interesting point to the conversation that no one ever tends to consider in this communication debate."Can we COMPREHEND whats being communicated to us" ???We then begin to break down the various ways misinterpretation contributes to failed communication. We discuss techniques to help both men and women in comprehension. We even discuss how a wellness check benefits communication between men and women. This is a conversation that is loaded with so much jewelry, that I'm just gonna suggest you PRESS PRAY. Otherwise, this description would be an essay. This hour long conversation is packed with good conversation, and forward thinking communicative ideals. You will enjoy this!!!

Writing Coach Taneisha Naylor sat down and had a conversation with Alec Lifschultz about her time as a mental health professional.
