November 5, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 46 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers not making any deals to acquire additional players on Tuesday, the final day of the NFL's 2025 trade deadline. We go over how hard the Steelers likely tried to trade for a wide receiver on Tuesday and the players they reportedly attempted to deal for. We also talk about the price that a few players ultimately went for in other trades. Overall, Alex and I let it be known that we weren't surprised that the Steelers didn't make any trades on Tuesday. Alex and I talk about several of the trades that were made by other teams on Tuesday. The Steelers made a few practice squad transactions on Tuesday, so Alex and I make sure to recap those moves. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and as usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of that session. We discuss what Tomlin had to say about Jalen Ramsey being moved to safety and the play on Sunday of new S Kyle Dugger. We also discuss Tomlin's thoughts on WR Roman Wilson and the running game on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Tomlin commented briefly on Tuesday on the signing of WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad, so we recap what he said about him. Tomlin ran down the health of the team on Tuesday so Alex and I go over that recap and what it might mean when it comes to the team's injury report for Week 10. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday afternoon home win against the Colts now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered. We start with the offensive play on Sunday and that includes a discussion about lack of explosive plays the unit has produced so far this season. We also have another healthy discussion about the solid play turned in by the Steelers defense on Sunday. Should there be concern when it comes to the Steelers relying heavily on takeaways from the team's defense? Alex and I discuss that question that seems to be a popular one to start this week. Alex and I mix in quite a few stats during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. This 103-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. November 3, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 45 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 9 Sunday home win against the Indianapolis Colts. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday inactive list, the few injuries sustained by the Steelers in their 27-20 win against the Colts, and the several transactions the team has made since our Friday show. The Steelers defense played extremely well on Sunday against the Colts as they rebounded following the unit's poor Week 8 showing against the Green Bay Packers. Because of that stellar performance by that unit against the Colts, Alex and I start on that side of the football. Alex and I go over the schematic and personnel changes the Steelers made on defense on Sunday against the Colts that resulted in the unit registering numerous takeaways and five sacks of Colts QB Daniel Jones. We discuss the several big plays made by the defense on Sunday and go over some key stats when it comes to the scheme used. While the Steelers defense was far from perfect on Sunday, the good clearly made a difference in the game. Will the Steelers continue to use Jalen Ramsey and Kyle Dugger as their two starting safeties? We discuss that possibility and go over several snap counts on that side of the football. After thoroughly breaking down the play of the Steelers' defense on Sunday, Alex and I then discuss the good, bad, and ugly from the offense against the Colts. That unit was able to produce 24 points off of turnovers and even without registering any explosive plays of 20 yards or longer. We talk about how the offense was clunky overall on Sunday but managed to produce three touchdowns just the same. WR Roman Wilson fumbled away the football late in Sunday's game, so we discuss that play. We also discuss some key metrics related to the play of Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers against the Colts. We make sure to highlight the play of TE Darnell Washington, WR Calvin Austin III , and RB Kenneth Gainwell during this show. The Steelers special team units performed well on Sunday, so Alex and I discuss the contributions in that phase of the game. We also break down the brilliant decision that special teams coordinator Danny Smith made in the second half as part of a kickoff. Ramsey held court with the team on Saturday night, according to Rodgers, so we discuss that little tidbit later in this show. With the annual NFL trade deadline now upon us, Alex and I look at the possibility and probability related to the Steelers trading for a wide receiver. Could Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel be an underrated trade option for the Steelers? What other positions might the Steelers consider trading for other than wide receiver? We attempt to answer those questions later in this show. Did the Steelers win convincing enough on Sunday? Alex and I discuss that flawed question and narrative making the rounds on Monday morning. This 103-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. On the Friday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise joins host Adam Bittner to ponder the Steelers' persistent problems at the cornerback position. Does coach Mike Tomlin get too enamored with aging veterans like Patrick Peterson, Donte Jackson, Darius Slay Jr. and Jalen Ramsey? Is he too impressed by past accomplishments compared to present-day ability? And will ever figure out how to develop young corners like Joey Porter Jr., Cory Trice Jr. and others through the years to their full potential? Our duo tackles those questions, then analyzes the remaining schedule and the Steelers' chances of making the playoffs. Can Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward generate enough wins against teams like the Bills, Lions, Colts, Chargers and Ravens to make the NFL playoffs? Or are they more likely than not to miss the tournament? Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo report from the team's South Side facility ahead of an NFL Week 9 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts at Acrisure Stadium. They have the latest on Kyle Dugger's arrival with the team after he was acquired in a trade with the New England Patriots earlier this week. Could we see him in uniform this week? Will he be able to help Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr. and Juan Thornhill in a beleaguered Steelers secondary that's missing DeShon Elliott? And can he help the team solve its yards after the catch problem when facing a tough Colts passing game that includes names like Daniel Jones, Michael Pittman, Tyler Warren and Alec Pierce? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
On his weekly Chipped Ham & Football podcast, presented by FanDuel, Post-Gazette Steelers insider Brian Batko welcomes Indianapolis-area radio host Kent Sterling to preview the NFL Week 9 matchup with the Colts at Acrisure Stadium. They ponder reasons why Jonathan Taylor, Daniel Jones, Michael Pittman and the Colts offense has been so effective during the team's 7-1 start; possible ways Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, Jalen Ramsey, Derrick Harmon, Patrick Queen and coach Mike Tomlin's defense may be able to slow that group down; and options QB Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren, Pat Freiermuth and OC Arthur Smith's offense will have to put up points against the Colts defense. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
The Colts are the sixth-best pass offense in the league. The Steelers are telegraphing the defense too much. Big Ben thinks Jalen Ramsey should be guarding tight ends. Chris Hoke is very concerned with the Steelers' ability to cover man defense.
Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise reacts to the Steelers trade for New England Patriots safety Kyle Dugger. This show is presented by FanDuel. Will he prove to be the missing piece in coach Mike Tomlin's struggling secondary? How will he fit alongside names like Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr., Juan Thornhill and Jabrill Peppers? And what will his role be if injured safety DeShon Elliott is able to return to the lineup after his injury scare? Paul tackles those questions and more ahead of an NFL Week 9 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts at Acrisure Stadium, in which Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the Steelers offense will have to keep pace with Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman as explosive counterparts. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
On the Wednesday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter to assess the team's situation at wide receiver. Would a name like Marquez Valdes-Scantling -- who's been linked to the Steelers this week -- really make the wide receivers room better? Would OC Arthur Smith even use him or other possible trade targets like Chris Olave or Jaylen Waddle enough next to DK Metcalf? And has the offense improved enough with Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin III in support roles for QB Aaron Rodgers and TEs Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith to justify keeping them toward the top of the depth chart? Our duo tackles those questions and whether possible draft capital used in deal ahead of the NFL trade deadline would be better used on a cornerback to help the struggling Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay Jr. and Joey Porter Jr. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Jordan Love wins NFC Offensive Player of the Week against the Steelers.
Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise gives his thoughts on the state of the Steelers' coaching staff following losses to the Bengals and Packers in NFL Weeks 7 and 8, respectively. Should DC Teryl Austin be on the hot seat as his star-studded unit that includes names like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Jalen Ramsey and Patrick Queen has struggled? Would firing him actually change anything? Or does blame for the unit's performance ultimately rest with coach Mike Tomlin? And what are realistic expectations for a midseason turnaround? Paul tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Nick Farabaugh would play Payton Wilson more on run downs. He thinks Jalen Ramsey will play more safety. Nick is getting closer to the point that Teryl Austin should be fired. There are not a ton of obvious trade options. Nick thinks the Steelers need to decide if it's worth it to trade draft picks to help a unit that has been so poor.
On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo react to an NFL Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium. Was captain Cam Heyward right to call out his unit after it was dominated by Packers QB Jordan Love and TE Tucker Kraft? How can coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin fix the group, with fans holding high expectations of names like T.J. Watt, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon, Nick Herbig, Patrick Queen and others? And how can the secondary specifically -- led by veterans Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay Jr. -- step up its game. Especially in potential absence of injured S DeShon Elliott? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo react to the team's NFL Week 8 matchup with the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium. Why did did the secondary -- led by Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr. and Jalen Ramsey -- struggle so badly against QB Jordan Love, TE Tucker Kraft and the Packers passing game? Where was the pressure from T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon and others as they failed to generate a sack for a second consecutive game? How should we grade QB Aaron Rodgers, WRs DK Metcalf and Roman Wilson and TEs Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington in the passing game? And why was RB Jaylen Warren able to have success on the ground? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On the Saturday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Brian Batko ponder which defensive problems the Steelers most need to fix ahead of an NFL Week 8 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Are coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin too focused on stopping the run compared to the pass? How can they get DBs including Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay Jr., Joey Porter Jr. and others on track when facing a tough matchup against QB Jordan Love? And where do front seven members like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Derrick Harmon, Keeanu Benton and others fit into that equation? Our duo tackles those questions, plus Aaron Rodgers' matchup with his former team. How many points will he be able to put up with options including DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Jaylen Warren, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith surrounding him? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Jalen Ramsey doesn't seem to be a No. 1 corner anymore. Communication is a problem. We think Nick Herbig is going to play a lot more. The Steelers need to slow down Micah Parsons and he moves around the defense. Ray thinks the Steelers win 27-23 and the star of the game is Jaylen Warren.
Bryant McFadden joins the show. BMac says Poni needs to be as high as possible since there will be no numbing agents. What does BMac think of the Steelers secondary going into the game against the Packers? Darius Slay, while he had a great career, has looked slow this year. Should the Steelers move Jalen Ramsey to safety?
On his weekly Chipped Ham & Football podcast, Post-Gazette Steelers insider Brian Batko welcomes Green Bay Packers legend LeRoy Butler to preview the showdown between the two teams in NFL Week 8 at Acrisure Stadium. Why does LeRoy believe coaches Mike Tomlin and Matt LaFleur could be matching wits again in a Super Bowl rematch of this contest? What does he expect from the QB matchup of Jordan Love vs. Aaron Rodgers and his team of offensive options that includes DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington? Plus defensive stars like Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt and Jalen Ramsey? And will Rodgers play with a little extra juice against his former team, as he did when facing Justin Fields and the New York Jets back in Week 1? Our duo tackles those questions and more. On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter to analyze the team's offensive line. Are young players like Broderick Jones, Troy Fautanu, Zach Frazier and Mason McCormick actually improving? Or benefitting from heavy sets that include tight ends like Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington and Jonnu Smith? And better-than-expected mobility from QB Aaron Rodgers? Can Jones and Fautanu take the next steps in their growth and become good NFL tackles before the NFL season ends? Is guard Isaac Seumalo an underrated piece of the group? And how much credit do coach Mike Tomlin and OC Arthur Smith deserve for the development of McCormick? Our duo tackles those questions, then pivots to the secondary. Who is struggling most in his role right now between Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr. and Jalen Ramsey? Does Brandin Echols deserve more playing time? And how are safeties DeShon Elliott and Juan Thornhill holding up as GM Omar Khan's answers at the position following the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On the Tuesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel, host Noah Hiles welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo to talk about Aaron Rodgers as he prepares to face his former team this week. Is the veteran QB ready for the challenge of taking down the Green Bay Packers in NFL Week 8 at Acrisure Stadium? What will he have to say about his first game as a Packers opponent? Will his comments be similar or different than they were in the lead-up to the NFL Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets, who cut him this offseason? And how will others including coach Mike Tomlin and players like DK Metcalf, T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Jalen Ramsey and Patrick Queen approach the situation? Our duo tackles those questions, then tight end usage within OC Arthur Smith's offense. How can names like Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington repeat their NFL Week 7 success against the Cincinnati Bengals? And can Rodgers continue to get the ball to Freiermuth in particular for big numbers in the absence of serious WR2 options behind DK Metcalf? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo analyze changes the defense needs to make ahead of an NFL Week 8 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. What adjustments should coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin make? Particularly in the secondary? Do players including Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr. and Brandin Echols need to be used differently after getting beaten badly by Joe Flacco, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins last week? And how can front seven options including T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Patrick Queen, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon, Payton Wilson and others generate more pressure and be better against the run? Our duo tackles those questions, then ponder whether QB Aaron Rodgers is playing his way into another season with the Steelers amid his success with DK Metcalf, Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth, Cavlin Austin III and Jonnu Smith in the passing game. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
On the Saturday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise to sort through the level of blame coach Mike Tomlin deserves for the NFL Week 7 loss to the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Was the game plan flawed from the start? Where was the pressure from the pass rush and stars like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton, Derick Harmon and others? Were the 3- and 4-man rushes frequently deployed simply not enough to disrupt Bengals QB Joe Flacco and star WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, leading to problems in the secondary for Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey and others? And why haven't names like Benton, Payton Wilson and others developed as much as many fans had hoped under Tomlin? Our duo tackles those questions, plus the performance of the tight ends. Who's the best player from the group of Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith right now? Are they enough for Aaron Rodgers to have success in the passing game beyond DK Metcalf most weeks? And should GM Omar Khan consider trading any of them for a second wide receiver who's an upgrade over Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. JT unloads on the Pittsburgh Steelers after their embarrassing 33-31 loss to Joe Flacco and the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. He calls out the Steelers' so-called elite defense for getting bullied by a 200-year-old Joe Flacco and exposes Jaylen Ramsey as completely washed after getting cooked by Jamar Chase all night. JT questions why Pittsburgh spent so much money on an aging defense that folded against one of the league's weakest offensive lines and why their offense still runs 13 personnel like it's 1985. He says Joe Flacco might actually save the Bengals' season — and hints that this loss could break something deeper inside the Steelers locker room.
Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise react LIVE to the Steelers' NFL Week 7 Thursday Night Football matchup with the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium. Were Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Darnell Washington and others able to maintain their momentum in the passing game? How did Broderick Jones, Troy Fautanu, Zach Frazier and the offensive line perform against the Bengals' pass rush? Were they able to clear running room for RBs Jaylen Warren, Kaleb Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell against a porous Bengals secondary? On the defensive side, how well was the secondary led by Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey and DeShon Elliott able to contain star Bengals receivers Ja'Marr Case and Tee Higgins? And how effective was the pass rush led by T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Keeanu Benton and Derrick Harmon against Bengals QB Joe Flacco? Our duo tackles those questions, plus the coaching performance of Mike Tomlin and coordinators Arthur Smith and Teryl Asutin. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On the Friday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Brian Batko react to the team's NFL Week 7 loss to the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Why were Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr., DeShon Elliott and the Steelers' secondary so bad in many coverage against the Bengals' passing attack led by Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Joe Flacco? Were expectations that coach Mike Tomlin's secondary would thrive in one-on-one situations misplaced? Or is this still an area where DC Teryl Austin can generate success against less potent pass games? And where do Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon and the pass rush fit into the situation? Our duo tackles those questions and ponder whether this was a loss to panic over or just a bump in the road over the course of a long season. Especially considering the way Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the offense were able to generate points to keep the Steelers in the game. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo recap the Steelers' NFL Week 7 loss against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Why were the Bengals' Joe Flacco, Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase able to have so much success against Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay Jr., Joey Porter Jr., DeShon Elliott and the Steelers' vaunted secondary? How did Bengals RB Chase Brown pile up over 100 yards against a Steelers defensive front that includes Cam Heyward, Derrick Harmon, Keeanu Benton, Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson? And where does coach Mike Tomlin's defense stand moving forward? Our duo tackles those questions plus and up-and-down night for Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington, Jaylen Warren, Roman Wilson and the Steelers offense that piled up points but also committed some costly errors. Hour 2 with Joe Starkey: Mark thinks if the Steelers win against the Bengals, you can pretty much rubber stamp the Steelers to win the AFC North. Jalen Ramsey can move around the defense and Mark compared him to Troy Polamalu, in a way.

Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo report from the Steelers practice facility after Tuesday's practice leading up to the team's "Thursday Night Football" matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. What can we expect from the Steelers defense, which went out and got defensive backs like Jalen Ramsey and Darius Slay Jr. to pair with Joey Porter Jr. and take on guys like Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins? What does it say about that unit's depth that they may be able to move guys around and use in different matchups and coverages? What can we expect from Joe Flacco, a player who's very familiar with the Steelers and actually beat Pittsburgh last season as a member of the Indianapolis Colts? Will pass rushers like T.J. They explain how Nick Herbig, Jalen Ramsey, T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Derrick Harmon and others were able to generate so much pressure on Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel; why Patrick Queen and the run defense were able to shut down dangerous rookie RB Quinshon Judkins; and a productive day from Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the offense, which was able to move the ball both through the air and on the ground for coach Mike Tomlin and OC Arthur Smith. Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise reacts to Steelers coach Mike Tomlin's weekly news conference ahead of an NFL Week 7 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Why did Tomlin call out the Cleveland Browns and GM Andrew Berry so harshly for their trade of Joe Flacco to the AFC North rival Bengals? Are his frustrations with the intradivision trade valid? Or was there merit to the deal for both sides? Paul gives his thoughts on those questions, plus the win over the Browns in NFL Week 6. Have Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the offense started to find an identity? Or should we take big numbers against the Browns with a grain of salt? And how sustainable is the pass rush from names like T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Derrick Harmon, Cam Heyward and Jalen Ramsey against superior competition? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Or do we still need to be in wait-and-see mode with OC Arthur Smit's group? Later, they ponder the defense's improvements. Was the dominance of rookie QB Dillon Gabriel a product of the opposition? Or are names like Jalen Ramsey, T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Patrick Queen and Derrick Harmon beginning to figure things out after a rocky start to the season? With big moves for names like Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jalen Ramsey, Jonnu Smith and others this offseason? Especially now that the team has a comfortable lead in the AFC North division? Or is there validity to the Browns' approach of building for the future, with deals this week involving Joe Flacco and Greg Newsome on expiring contracts? Our duo tackles those questions, then makes game picks and ponders whether Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel is ready to handle the heat from Steelers defensive stars including T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Derrick Harmon and Keeanu Benton. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Today, it's whether safety Juan Thornhill is fired up to play the Cleveland Browns. Thornhill said all the right things on Thursday in speaking with reporters, but do we really buy that he isn't fired up to face his former squad? And without Jalen Ramsey, will Thornhill have an increased opportunity to make his mark in the rivalry game? Alan breaks it down. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo report from the team's Thursday practice ahead of an NFL Week 6 matchup with the Cleveland Browns. They give their thoughts on comments by DC Teryl Austin and OC Arthur Smith. Specifically, the ponder whether Austin has unlocked T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Cam Heyward, Keeanu Benton and Derrick Harmon after they tallied six sacks in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings. Can those results continue? Or was the big day a one-off? How involved can Austin get inside linebackers like Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson within the rush? And when will we get to see a complete secondary that includes a healthy Jalen Ramsey and Joey Porter Jr.? Our duo tackles those questions and ways Smith is working with Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Darnell Washington. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
