HAPPY NEW YEAR! The boys are ringing in 2024 by celebrating their Baltimore Ravens being the AFC North champions and the official #1 seed in the AFC. Josh and Dante dive right into what was yet another utterly dominant performance by the Lamar Jackson-lead Ravens leading to their third AFC North title in the last ten years. On top of locking up the division and the top seed in the conference, the MVP race is also all but locked up as Lamar Jackson is currently an extremely heavy odds-on favorite to win his second MVP in just his sixth season in the NFL. The boys take a deeper dive into this game against Miami and what led to the ass kicking that ensued, as well as how they feel now that they know the AFC must go through Baltimore. The Ravens also had some pro bowlers announced late Wednesday evening, that Dante and Josh give their thoughts on. Moving into this upcoming week and the end to the 2023 NFL season, the Ravens take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 18. John Harbaugh has already announced that Lamar Jackson will not be playing, and instead Tyler Huntley will get the start while Lamar gets a rest week. Josh and Dante give their two cents on the decision to rest Lamar ahead of the bye week with Pittsburgh coming to town, as well as their predictions on who could round out the remaining five “inactives” as there are some guys who are banged up and could use the extra week off. Lastly, Josh and Dante give their brief thoughts ahead of week 18 and Dante's only key to victory this week against Pittsburgh. They wrap up their NFL talk with some playoff scenarios, who's hot and who's not, and what they're hoping to see as we enter the postseason. To wrap up the show, Josh recaps his trip to Phoenix following his Liberty Flames to the Fiesta Bowl, as well as College Football Playoff Semifinal talk. Lastly, the boys preview Monday's National Championship, Dante gives his NFL week 18 best bets, and they send you all into another fantastic weekend. Thank you all for joining, and we can't wait to rock this year with you all by our side. Cheers!
Moe Kahn jumps on to join Gabe Morency on this week's first edition of SportsRage Late Night. First - they talk about the bowl season and how they thought it went, as well as the two amazing CFB playoff games that happened. After, they jump into the National Championship game that is set to take place between Michigan and Washington, which side are they on? Do they think Harbaugh needs to win this game to stay in Michigan, or is his mind already made up? Then - NFL draft talk. Will the Bears move on from Fields now that they have locked up the number 1 pick, or will they move on from the pick and back Fields? Who is in a must win game for week 18, and how will the playoffs shake out?

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Josh and Dante kick this holiday episode off by, very proudly, announcing the new lease agreed upon and signed by the Orioles and the State of Maryland keeping the birds in Baltimore for the foreseeable future. It's ultimately a 30-year lease that has a bunch of stipulations and parameters included that are contingent upon a number of things that Josh and Dante break down. Continuing with their baseball talk, the boys give some love to new LA Dodger, Shohei Ohtani, after signing his ENORMOUS 10-year $700 million deal. Dante gives his thoughts on the financial aspect of it, and why this is actually genius for both Shohei and the Dodgers. Moving on from the diamond, the boys dive into some pigskin this week starting with the Ravens 23-7 win on Sunday Night over the Jaguars in Duval. The game was won but only at a cost, losing star UDFA rookie running back Keaton Mitchell to an ACL tear. Coach Harbaugh confirmed Monday morning that Mitchell's season was over and that Melvin Gordon would take his place on the roster. Josh and Dante dive into the highs and lows of this game, including an all-time primetime performance from “L Freaky” Lamar Jackson. Kyle Hamilton once again proved that he's playing at an all-pro level, even with a knee sprain, and Brandon Stephens continues his stellar season on the outside. Wrapping up this past week's game and rolling into the next, the boys take a look at some concerns with this Ravens team heading into their Christmas Day matchup with the 49ers. Dante and Josh discuss some headlines on both sidelines, the injuries for each team, and as always dive into the numbers of each unit in this matchup. Bringing it home, Dante gets into his, ever crucial, keys to victory for this week's game in San Francisco, his best bets for NFL week 16, and the boys send us all into what will undoubtedly be an incredible holiday weekend. Cheers to all of you, happy holidays and Merry Christmas to all! We love you!

On this week's episode of the Wave Podcast, Josh and Dante kick off the program by giving you all an official reminder that if you haven't done your Christmas shopping, you need to do it now. And after getting their public service announcement out of the way, they dive into their ball talk of the week. They kick off this week's sports talk by showing love to the newly minted Hesiman winner, LSU Quarterback Jayden Daniels. Overshadowed by a lackluster surrounding cast, there was nobody more deserving of the honor this year than Daniels, so Josh and Dante rightfully show love to the 2023 Heisman winner. Moving into the NFL, the Ravens were back in action this week and won a THRILLER against the LA Rams, thanks in large part to a walk-off 76 yard punt return TD in overtime from Tylan Wallace. Starting return man Devin Duvernay left the game early with an injury, and with no prior experience returning punts in the NFL, Wallace made the most of his opportunity. Josh and Dante dive into the good and bad from this game, which was again headlined by an extremely quiet near-400 yard performance from Lamar Jackson. Odell Beckham is finally looking like he's hitting his stride and becoming the receiver that we expected back in May, and much to Dante's surprise, Nelson Agholor is proving to be extremely valuable to this Ravens offense. As the boys move ahead from week 15, they take a look at the current NFL standings before previewing this week's Ravens game. The Ravens go into Duval county to take on the Jaguars, who are coming off a tough loss at the hands of the Browns (shoutout Joe Flacco). Josh gives his overarching thoughts heading into this game, and Dante gives his keys to victory. Dante wraps up with his week 15 best bets, and we send you all into another great weekend. Cheers to each and every one of you.

Episode Summary: "Giants vs. Packers Preview - NFL Week 14"In this week's anticipation-packed episode, the focus is on the clash between the Giants and the Packers. The hosts delve into critical questions surrounding injuries and strategies for both teams.Injury Watch:The looming question of Dexter Lawrence and Evan Neal's availability keeps fans on the edge of their seats. The potential return of Darren Waller from the IR adds another layer of suspense.Eyes are on the Packers' camp: Will RB Aaron Jones make a comeback from his knee injury?Offensive Tactics:The Packers boast a stingy defense, allowing only 20.3 points per game, ranking 9th in the league. However, their vulnerability lies in the ground game, where they allow 136.3 yards per game (30th) and 4.5 yards per carry (26th).With the Giants having offensive firepower, including DeVito, Hyatt, and Slayton, there's room to exploit the Packers' pass defense, especially in the absence of a strong interception record. The Packers' red zone defense is a fortress (8th best), emphasizing the importance of the Giants making every opportunity count.Defensive Strategies:The Packers' offense has seen phases of both mediocrity and excellence, averaging 17 points per game between weeks 2-7 and escalating to 26 points per game for the rest of the season.Jordan Love, though relatively inexperienced, benefits from a solid offensive line. The Giants' defense needs to capitalize on his limited starts and pressure him.An overview of the Packers' offensive weapons, from rookie sensations in the receiving corps to emerging talent in the tight end position.Final Thoughts and Keys to Victory:Exploiting the Packers' offensive inexperience is crucial. Defensive coordinator Wink is expected to unleash all strategies.Prioritizing pass defense to force the Packers into a more run-oriented game.Recognizing the Packers' strength in keeping teams out of the endzone, the Giants must adopt an aggressive offensive approach, capitalizing on every opportunity to score touchdowns.Tommy DeVito's continued improvement is a key factor in the Giants' offensive success.Emphasizing mistake-free football while capitalizing on any errors made by the Packers will be instrumental in securing a victory. As the Giants gear up for a challenging encounter, this episode serves as the perfect guide for fans looking to understand the intricacies and potential game-changers in the upcoming Giants vs. Packers showdown.#giants #packers #nflSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. In this week's episode of "Giants vs Patriots Preview - NFL Week 12" on "2 Giant Goofballs," Drew and Rob meticulously dissect the upcoming clash between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. With a keen eye on the statistics and dynamics of both teams, the hosts provide a comprehensive overview. The Giants, entering the matchup on the heels of an encouraging performance, face a Patriots defense that has shown vulnerabilities, allowing 23.8 points per game, ranking 23rd in the league. Drew and Rob point out that the Patriots' defensive struggles might be a direct result of challenges on the offensive end.Analyzing the Patriots' defensive weaknesses, the hosts highlight the team's below-average performance against the pass, creating opportunities for Tommy DeVito and the Giants' passing game. DeVito, coming off a three-touchdown performance, can take calculated risks, given the Patriots' low sack rate and interception statistics. While the Patriots excel against the run, ranking second in the league, the Giants are urged to utilize Saquon Barkley effectively in the passing game. The Patriots' balanced defensive effort, with five players recording over 50 tackles, poses a challenge that the Giants need to navigate strategically.Shifting focus to the defensive side, the hosts reveal that the Patriots' defense ranks as the second-worst, allowing an average of 14.1 points per game. The Patriots' reliance on passing plays, a consequence of often playing from behind, creates opportunities for the Giants' defense to exploit. The uncertainty in the Patriots' starting quarterback adds another layer of intrigue. As the Giants aim to secure back-to-back victories, DeVito's performance becomes pivotal. The hosts emphasize the need for a balanced offensive approach, cautioning against turnovers and emphasizing Saquon's involvement. Additionally, they stress the importance of preventing big plays and maintaining defensive discipline. In their final thoughts, Drew and Rob express optimism about the Giants potentially starting a win streak. However, they highlight the consequences if the offense falters, suggesting that offensive coordinator Mike Kafka may face scrutiny. The episode encapsulates a mix of strategic insights, player analysis, and the trademark humor that defines "2 Giant Goofballs."#giants #patriots #nflSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast.
